i love it! if we can get an all pro reciever for a third round is great. isnt chad johnson turning thirty years old though? Should that be a worry or no?
Yeah, but that was to a desperate Norv Turner. No one else would have been stupid enough to give us a second for Chambers.
I doubt that we could give themour 3rd round pick chad johnson we might be able to give them our 1st second or we could even give them our first for there first and chad johnson
Hey, I LIKE the sound of that! We get Johnson and are in a good position to draft the best QB available.
is there anyway we could get chad without dealing picks? I mean as i posted eariler im all for the 3rd rounder for ocho cinco but is it possible with out picks?. every year we are trading some picks, we are like the redskins volume 2 with our draftpicks.
You are crazy. Getting WRs through the draft is extremely hard. Plus, they take years to develop. We need a target for Beck NOW. WR is the only position I am willing to trade for. Especially when we would be giving up LESS than what we got for Chambers! Think about it. Chambers and our 3rd for CJohnson and a 2nd? Thats what the deal would essentially be. Who in the world WOULDNT do that???
I think it is going to take more than the AFC's leading reciever the past 4 seasons to come here. A first im thinking and thats too high
He'll be 30 next season. For some reason I thought he was a little older than that. here's his stats from last season and a little clip of him torching us. http://www.nfl.com/players/chadjohnson/profile?id=JOH104425
yea he is the same age as Chambers and i want Chad Johnson to come down to miami and Torch the Bengals like he did to the dolphins
Chad Johnson is not Chad Johnson without Carson Palmer. Newsflash.... we don't have Palmer, we have a Lemon.
Ocho Cinco would look great in aqua! Line Teddy Ginn up across from him and thats A LOT of speed at the WR position. Draft a TE with great hands and Beck will finally have some targets that don't drop 60% of the ball thrown their way.
Moss wanted only to be a patriot, he wouldn't renegotiate for any other team and this has been well documented. Under those circumstances, the raiders were fortunate to get a #4.
Well after we jettison T. Green and C. Lemon we will have 2 open QB spots so he will indeed need to acquire some QBs. The question is from a depth chart standpoint wil he acquire 2nd and 3rd string with Beck as #1, or will he go after a 1st stringer and leave Beck and other QB as 2nd and 3rd?
I still think a 3rd is reasonable. Draft picks don't get thrown away so easily (other than by crap teams, i.e. us in the past). I don't think there would be many willing to give up more.
I think if we trade our First for the bengals First and Chad Johnson we would get him and we could get a QB like Woodson
Ding Ding Ding, winner! I know Chad loves Miami, but there will be other teams that will step up for his services IF it will only take a 3rd round...I guarantee you, someone will step up with a 2nd rounder. The WR that the Dolphins SHOULD make a play for who won't cost a buttload of loot or draft picks is Jerry Porter out in Oakland. He would thrive under Parcell. He needs a new scene..Miami just might be it. It's funny to read 'Norv was desperate' for a receiver. I dont think it was desperation but rather ADDING a threat in a stack team. And it wasn't Norv but rather AJ Smith. The last thing to consider, Chad is not that young anymore, how patient will he be with a rebuilding team? I have no doubt that Bill will bring in a veteran QB, but as a free agent, chances are Chad sees - 1-15. Will he be patient enough?
i dont know about woodson. I like him but it seems like if he doesnt have the perfect qb pocket or if there is a pressure, he panics and makes dumb decisions.
Great. Then we would have two rookie Quarterbacks on our team and would still need somebody to get them the ball.. IMO Woodson is not as good as Beck...
And my the time we are ready to really use him, he will be 34 years old. Draft a freaking rookie instead.
The Fins WILL not draft another QB in this years draft. I'll bet $5.00 with anyone. ;-) Are we talking about Woodson out of Kentucy? Goodness, I hope not. Woodson = BIG WASTE OF A DRAFT PICK.
I don't make money bets on the internet, but I will state that I am pretty confident that you're wrong.
I'm in the draft camp that you draft a QB EACH year. You spend a 4-7 round pick on one if you have an established QB and a 1-3 if you don't. You then develop the QB to either 1) eventually take over when your established QB is hurt or cut or 2) have something to trade to a team that desperately needs one (i.e which is what the 'Fins have done over the years). Back on point and my humble opinion - Chad Johnson is a good WR. Carson Palmer didn't make him good, Chad made Carson look better. Chad still had relatively good games towards the end of this past year even though Carson stank the place up.
the last person to bet 5.00 he it didnt work out for them to well the only reason we might is because John Beck was an old rookie
