I've seen lots of nice Pitbulls, the one next door for instance, but their capacity for mayhem makes me wary of them as well. My two wieners terrorize 'Max' who only want's to play with them (He's barely a year old) and won't let him near without a fierce bout of barking and snarling and growling.
My neighbor (in my apartment building) has a black lab and a marmaduke dog (can't think fo the breed ATM, but it is like as big as me). Ally loves playing with them, and will dive off couches at them and stuff. Zack used to growl at them when they got near, but now he is starting to play with everyone which is real refreshing. There is a 1 year old golden retriever downstairs who goes to my neighbors that is just like Ally (but obviously like 80lbs instead of 10lbs), and Zack doesn't seem too fond of her, lol. I think she is too rough for him, because she doesn't realize how big she is. A new neighbor brought their Yorkie over the other day, and I couldn't believe how much Zack wanted to play with it. I think he was ecstatic about finding a dog smaller than himself.
My dogs hate, and I mean hate, short faced dogs (pugs, bulldogs, etc) and everytime one approaches them at the dog park a chase ensues, it's hilarious. One guy said they were 'racist'. I said no, the proper term is 'facist'.
you crack me up Opie... hey.. don't y'all believe ol Opie.. he found all them wienerdog pictures at wienerdog central.. Here's the "real" Opie playing with his doggie...
Okay guys this is my first attempt at putting my own pictures on the web through Flickr so if something doesn't show up I'll get it fixed. Anyway here we go: Here is a grainy pick of my Betta (Stephen aka Mr. Betta): Here is a picture of my two pond fish: Here is a picture of my horses, Baby Girl and Buttercup (aka The Ladies): Also here is a picture of my homie Bear: Finally here is a picture of my little buddy Missy: With Short Hair: With Long Hair:
Don't stereotype me because I'm from Tennessee. Also the neighbor's dog pretty much lives here so I guess I should get a picture of it as well.
suuuure, blame it on the bear that doesn't know what to do. I have some great memories of a friends mini daschund.. jump up into your lap to get "her hit" ...she would tilt beer cans so as to get the last drop.. GREAT lizard hunter too.. she hated trapped dragon flies out on the porch.. would follow them relentlessly hoping the would stray low enough for her to gitum. Lordy what a fine bunch of bulldogs.. I never would have thought to see so many. My hippohead Pup, just died a month ago and I am still mourning the loss a lot. I just love old wrinkleazzed hounds.. Here's my best friend in happier times Dock dog... every morning he went first to make sure the dock was safe for me. Hippo Heads return trip my devil cat reindeer dog hot hound I really miss those eyes.. and his expressive face.. best buddy I could have asked for.. here's lookin' at ya.. Pup's fur would "stick" ya.. if you rubbed it the wrong way.. that's why the Chinese called them Shar Pei.. shark skin.. but I want you to know, his muzzel was of the softest velvet.. and he liked it stroked.
i got a dog name kasie, she is a cute westie, ill post pics when i find one later, most of them are on my computer at home... i miss my dog!
Thanks bro.. I have thousands of sunrise pictures over Indian River, Pup went out on the dock every morning before me to chase that mean great blue heron off to protect me. Here he is snozin' the view from inside, looking out.. here's a postcard pic..
i'd like to get a sheltie but my wife doesn't want a pet. she says we're retired and she wants to be able to go on a moments notice without having to look for somebody to take care of it. we have a 25 yearold cocketiel, the damn thing still doesn't know he can fly. when he's gone, no more pets. we've buried 4 shelties and 2 chihuahuas and my wife says thats enough.
My dog sleeps on my bed with me, however, you guys with these pics who are letting your dogs sleep on top of or under valuable Miami Dolphins blankets must be madmen!
Here's Moishe... the black siamese cat with the Jewish name: This is Pippen the Main Coon: and this... is Booger the Rat being held back from attacking Moishe the Menche: Yes ...we have a pet rat... yes his name is Booger. Actually the one we have now is Booger II...this is a pic of Booger I. Booger I really would go after the cat...even bit him once or twice...
If she ain't good enough fer her fambly, she ain't good enough fer ours! You're breaking my heart Marty. Sometimes I look at my little buddies and remember those that came before them and my eyes well up a little and I get a little choked up in the throat. You ever think of getting another best friend?
Strange pic with the rat Jon. Looks like the cat has a foot! These are all beautiful animals people. Thanks for sharing.
My children: Zoe & Harley Marino My childhood cat (not pictured) Nikki, who was 18 yrs old, just passed away a few weeks ago...
was your dog a stripper at one point? and now coming to the stage give it up for bubbles everyone.....
He's not stereotyping you because of that he is just saying it looks like you have a petting zoo in your backyard. On that note, where are the baby giraffes........
my dog snores so loud the walls shake, and the second he falls asleep, his *** becomes a weapon of mass destruction. its like a fart switch that goes on. so for health and other significant reasons, our Bulldog DOES NOT sleep with us.
Oh we both know he's stereotyping me. Currently the baby giraffes are held up in customs but we are expected to get them within the next month.
My dogs sometimes sleep with us, though they have their own beds too. I think it just depends how needy they are at the time, or how hot/cold they are/get. (or if I accidently roll over on them)
jeez thats just awful!!! must've been a terrible experience. im surprised that the mature pitbull killed the Rott though, mature Rotts are much bigger and rather protective/tough dogs no?
Actually, my wife named her Bubbles. I'm not sure how she came up with that name, but maybe its because she shaped like a bubble, or the fact that she bounces around like a bubble. Oh well, it fits, and NO, I never blew bubbles!! But I did sleep at a Holiday Inn once.
I never noticed that Mary .. it does, doesn't it. Actually that's Jan's foot... just so nobody thinks we adopted a Chernoble Cat...
