   The coaches told them to do this. Clinton Hart was on radio telling them this. They didn't say go for his legs. Crack his ribs. Blow him up. Hit him. You're allowed to do that in football. He's lined up as a WR. You're allowed to jam him,a nd Pennington was faux-blocking. he's allowed to get beat up.

   After the NFL handed out a one-game suspension and 50k fine to Eric Smith for his hit that injured Boldin (which, by all appearances, was accidental), I doubt they would simply look the other way if SD attempted to make good on such a threat.
