I didn't get to talk to her in person about this today because she didn't have the time but she did say she saw my email. She said if I wanted, we could talk about it. She said it would be better through email because 1)she can't do it in the morning, 2) I don't want to talk to her during class and 3) she doesn't have the same lunch so that's out the window. I just got an email saying that she looks forward to receiving my email.
Tough spot Alen. I think the worst that can happen by coming clean is she gives you both a failing grade or incomplete on the assignment. He'll probably get the worst of it though. Im sure by admitting your mistake she'll take it easy on you and maybe even allow you to make up the work.
A: He is not your friend if he did that. B: Be honest with the Teacher. C: Do your own work and don't let others copy yours, it will only help you when you get to college.

You need to handle this situation with as much respect to her as possible because odds are she may not quite look at you the same way again depending on how you deal with this. That will kill you if she doubts your integrity going forward because everything that you, or by default the guy that cheated from you, hand in will get extra scrutiny and I guarantee she will compare the two.

Me, I'd have employed a devious strategy of lying, pointing fingers, blaming every living being on this planet except for myself, accusing the teacher of every count of slander, discrimination and neglect I can dig up in the Oxford English Dictionary, and burglering the school to steal my paper back. But yeah, coming clean with the teacher also works.
Here's the problem I have now. I'm willing to tell her what happened but I feel pretty crappy snitching on someone.
Tell her that you'd appreciate some anonymity. She can always tell him she noticed it herself. Is it an essay type assignment or multiple choice stuff?
Everyone makes mistakes, the proof of the pudding is how you handle correcting the ones you make. You are doing the right thing in my book and get an A+ for it. I'm proud to know you, friend.
