The ownership uncertainty is a real worry for me.
Wayne's been trashed by the fan base way too often.
    He's been a great owner.

The Uncertainty of new ownership and exactly how dedicated they'll be to see the team win is a real concern. Ross already selling a piece certainly can't be viewed as a positive towards that "dedication" concern.

Relax. With low ticket sales and stadium renovations it was somewhat of a predictable move to generate revenues. Doesn't look good if you're not making money. Might well be that Ross sold a small piece to an investment group with the option to buy it back in a couple of years.

I think the new partner possibly is Jorge M Perez which he's worth around 2.0 bil.
If I recall right, during the negotiation with Ross, was a mention that further down the road Ross will allow Perez to buy a % of the Franchise.
Perez he's a very strong Dolphins fan and this will be a dream come true for him......IF indeed Perez he's the new partner.

I can't see him selling part of his share as a means to raise revenue, Its not as if Ross is counting pennies and living from pay check to pay check. This guy is a multi-billionaire and doesn't need the money. As far as appearences that the team is not profitable right now, that would reflect on Wayne as him being the majority owner, not Ross.
It has a tendacy to make people wonder of his commitment and dedication to the team. To start selling parts of his shares so soon after just recently buying them himself makes you wonder.

I would love to see Mark Cuban buy the team. He would make us a winner in no time. I think we need a roof on Dolphin's stadium so we won't have 30,000 people painted like orange seats. Nobody is going to sit there and watch the team in that heat/humidity. I think Huizenga/Ross put business first ahead of winning.

Thats right .It was always Ross intention to sell part of the action to Jorge Perez when it was feasible. They have partnered up many times in real estate deals .There are also some Saudi Arabian interests who are interested in participating as silent partners.

There is nothing new here.We need not come to a conclusion that there is a lack of dedication on Mr Ross part.

Having said that I wish Wayne H could remain as the owner

I actually believe that Jorge Perez was the one who is more interested in buying the Dolphins than Mr Ross but he does not have the the fortune to convince the NFL that he should be the owner.

Scary.....very scary. I do not want a "Jerry Jones" or "Snyder" type, but we also should guard against a "Mike Brown" cheapo owner too.

I have grave reservations about this. :pity:

Probably owners who have a 100 percent business goal with the team. Ross will buy the remaining shares from Wayne when its time for him to take over, so spreading some it around now is no big deal as when its all said and done Wayne is still the majority owner.

This is why i had a big issue with the sale to Ross in the first place..and i got busted on for it. i dont want to be the god damned Dubai Dolphins. i want a single american owner who comprehends the legacy, and values this thing like its their own child.

If they are bought by a Saudi group, they can say goodbye to a portion of their Jewish season ticket holders.
