Bess number one receiver? IMO, if Bess is any higher than number three on the depth chart, you know we have WR problems. As much as I love what Bess brings to us, he's a great fit in the slot and I think that's where he should stay. I'm not confident with him as our second receiver. We need a big guy out there who can be very physical and go up to get the ball. We have a possession receiver in Camarillo and he's a good number two. I don't see Bess like that.

And all he cost us was some cash, not wasted #2 on him, and he just makes plays for us.

Yeah like second play of the game, Roth pressured him, and I think he actually mightve slightly hyper-extended his knee. You would be the man to comment on that, but he stepped back on it and the knee buckled jsut a bit

 

Another stop on a 3rd and long? That murdered us last season...our D is playing well now.

 

Not necessarily on a long term basis...I'm speaking to this year alone. The rest or our WRs have been mostly woeful. If the trend continues I see us drafting WR early. But no I mean for this year

I don't know about that. Stallworth is very fast and can stretch the field. Bess lacks that downfield speed IMO.

Bess also doesnt run seam routes, so we never get to see much of that potential downfield speed. He's quick, perhaps see if he can get a nice sprint on an out pattern?

 

It's only the first Half, but we are sort of beating up the Chargers right now, just imposing our will on them.
