IMO on this team anyone is available for the right price. That said, that's a weird structure for a trade. One thing to consider is maybe stocking up picks in next years draft. There is going to be some elite talent coming out and it wouldn't be a bad idea to have a bounty lined up.
If there was someone in the late teens early 20s that they wanted? Okay, make the deal. But the phins will need extra picks in 2027 too.
We probably have too many picks this year, so the 3rd rounder would be gratuitous. IMO, if we have a fantastic draft, we might have too many players to extend out of the haul of 2026 picks. While that's a good problem to have, it's too many guys to bring in and develop at the same time. Especially if we ship out seniority and (presumably) leadership in Brooks. I wouldn't make the trade unless there are can't miss players that are likely to be available at #20 that we know will be gone at #30. And I get the impression this regime doesn't see anyone as "can't miss".
Starting to think this might happen. He is in the last year of his deal at 28 and I dont see this GM paying him a boat load of money next year at 29 when we will most likely not be a contender if everything falls right until 2028. Might as well sell him high coming off a All pro year to a contender
