The Coin Flip: Can upset- minded Dolphins do it again? - USATODAY.com Sure we can! The Dolphins are coming off a bye week and will be playing with confidence after squashing New England. People in Miami may even foresake the beach and start paying attention to the Fish again. And San Diego had way too much trouble putting away Oak-land. I want my Super Bowl pick back
Your on a roll FFIC! Nice article! I think we have a great chance to do something big here. 2 huge wins for us like this would be incredible after the dissapointments and frustrations of recent years. We are fresh, confident and hungry. They are somewhat hurting, going coast to coast. They have a ton of talent, but are definately a beatable team. We just need to come out and play hard and fast from the get-go. I think if we get on them and pound them early we can pull off a good win.
Depends. Can we apply needed pressure on Rivers and force TO's. Can we stop the duo of LT and Sproles. Will they run the single wing? Can Pennington play error free? I think if we can run the Single Phin without any hitches then there is a good chance we win.
To me this game on the heels of the NE game is the most important of the season to see if this young team can keep a head of steam or if they will revert back to that team that showed up in Arizona. The coaching, the heart of the players and the future of this season - for me - ride on the effort of the San Diego game. I don't mean they have to win to prove the point but if in the closing moments I can say they gave it one hell of an effort I know they will be ok.
Indeed, its important that we dont just roll over or self destruct and put ourselves out of this. A hard fought loss, though still a loss, would at least show this team has the heart to compete. Hopefully they have enough to pull out the win though ofc. That arizona game was tough though, especially now after seeing the Jets obliterate them, I dont want us to get thrashed by SD only to watch a team like New England crush them later in the season. Then again, how nice would it feel to smash a SD team that just beat the Jets easily?
I think this game is going to come down to Pennington above all else. Can we continue to move the ball and not give up TOs is what I really think will decide it. You know that no matter how well our D plays, they will find ways to put points on the board. The question is can our offense keep up?
And how will the offensive brain trust follow up the NE game after a bye week with new wrinkles in the offense to keep the San Diego defense on it's heels.
Well, the win against NE will be a 'fluke' until we follow it up with some sound football and a few more wins...It's fine with me if we start against the Bolts...we've had success with them in the past...but this isn't the same team and they essentially are the same team...
