It's a win. I really hope Achane is ok. Pittsburgh next week and I think that's where our win streak will end. We've never beaten Aaron Rodgers and it's not gonna happen in December in Pittsburgh. Not without a superstar performance from Tua and we aren't getting that.

Remember though Res, the Dolphins beat the Bills. That is a GOOD team.

The Dolphins struggled on 3rd down. It wasn’t until the 4th quarter we were converting 3rd downs but up to that point, Miami was getting 1st downs on 1st and 2nd downs.

I’m not worried about Rodgers. He’s a shell of his former self and with how our defense is playing, Rodgers better be worrying more about us than the other way around.

And just an FYI, the Dolphins are undefeated since Grier’s firing. The defense has allowed only 13.25 points per game since Halloween and the offense has scored 25.25 points per game. Miami’s offense has rushed for an average of 192.25 yards. Defenses haven’t figured out how to slow down our now dominant rushing attack. Even with Achane going down today, Wright alone rushed for 107 yards after Achane’s departure after he already gained 92 yards on 7 carries.

While in today’s era of football, all of the focus is on the quarterback, the most basic concept of football is overlooked, controlling the ball and controlling the clock which Miami has done superbly over the last month.

The Dolphins are playing bullyball right now. Who would have ever thought that? Tua certainly has alot to clean up. He missed several throws again today.

But, I'm loving this offense right now. This is how you win late in the season. I'm not scared of a fake tough Pittsburgh team next week.

Not really sure how Grier firing makes players play better?

Your take is bad when they didn’t allow a TD on offense the entire game. But what could you find? They punted. I get you’re a glass half empty person, but just finding anything to complain about when they dog walk the Jest from the opening drive is just a reach. I’m sure if they lose the next game you’ll be the 1st one here peacocking.

It shouldn’t. I think it’s a coincidence that the online started to be the same and gelled. Also Phillips being traded allowed more reps for the other guys. It’s wierd because he was the strongest statistical player and that shouldn’t have happened.

Sometimes a firing like that lights a fire and it seems that’s what happened, haven’t lost since he’s gone…

To be fair, we didn't see 3rd down with Achane on the field because almost every play was a 1st down. When he went down, we had to invent a new offense on the fly since everything runs through Achane right now. It was just as bad or worse than the Jets losing their QB.

Later in the game, when we figured out that new offense, again...we weren't seeing 3rd down very often since we were running for 10+ yards per carry. So it was only in the middle quarters where 3rd down was a problem. But again, our team had lost it's identity by that point.

Tua COULD HAVE thrown 4 picks on the day including a pair of pick-6's. He doesn't look the same to me and he missed so many bread and butter throws that we run every week. Not sure what's going on with him but there's clearly a difference. Luckily it was the Jets who are setting NFL records for interception droughts.

Overall, it was a win and a dominant one. I'm glad the Jets rookie QB got considerable playing time and started putting together dives towards the end. I hate the Jets but they've been so horrible, it's hard to really put effort into hating them these days. They're pathetic and shot themselves in the foot so many times in spectacular ways. It could have been a game without all the mental errors and that would have allowed me to enjoy my Jet-hating.

That's 4 in a row, my friends, and our first win in December. All that's left is to do is beat the Steelers, Bengals, Bucs, and Pats. We all better pray that Achane is okay so the streak can continue.

I don't have to put any effort into hating New York, that just comes naturally! :lol2:

It did appear that our running attack was faltering initially after Achane went down until Wright was able to get his feet under him so to speak. I do agree with you on Tua. He looks like an elderly quarterback out there now. His passes no longer have any zip on them, he's floating a lot of throws that used to be on a line and he's not moving with the same vigor he used to have. I had a feeling that Tua wouldn't have a long career in the NFL. I just wonder if his window is starting to close already. Regardless, as long as we keep up this effective running game, and Tua doesn't make any mistakes, offensively I think we're going to be ok for the remainder of the season.
