jeez, i don't write so good lately lol Id be a little leary of bush until we see how of a hit his value takes from mcallister's expanding role.
Two big FA's this week you should snatch up if you haven't already. Mewelde Moore for Pitt. He has already been named starter for the next game, and with Mendenhall and Parker, AND Davis injured should get good production. Also Meachem has filled the gap left by Shockey and Colston being injured nicely so far.
Reagen Id take that deal. Harrison is struggling so far, and Id say Wayne is the best reciever on Indy atm. Plus, with team running down on that D the O may not get as many scoring chances as they usually do. And Williams is a Lion. Yes, a Detroit Lion. Bush I think has been playing very well so far, and dont think Mcallister will be to huge of an impact. Bush has been showing up and showing off his versatility on the goal line with some nice catches and runs. If there is a solid FA WR, or you can snag one of his as well as Bush, It would probably be worth it. The only thing id worry about is the Colts offense gaining steam, but that whole team has been lackluster so far.
which 2 should i start, Ike Hillard versus Denver, Issac Bruce Versus New England or Bernard Berrian Versus New Orleans.
Nope, got taken. Only WR's he has of note is Plax and I dunno about that one. Still considering it but I'm holding out for a better deal with a better RB. Someone with Matt Forte is currently weak at WR so I might swing a deal there. I'm not in any real panic anyways. Meachem has filled the gap nicely but I'm impressed by Moore. Meachem hasn't been getting more than 2 catches a game while Moore's averaging 7. It's the difference between a home run hitter and a dependable guy. I go with the latter.
After last weeks loss to US!!! I think the NE D has something to prove, I would go with Hilliard. Berrian is tough. With the QB play so inconsistent he's been a tough one to get points off of.
thanks . My receiving core has been destroyed by injuries, first Colston and then Galloway has been out. Dwayne Bowe has been my #1 receiver thus far and hes been solid if unspectacular.. i'm somehow 4-0 though.
it should always be a No-Brainer to play WRs against the DEN/NO Defense. Just not sure which Minn WR will do good if any
I'd hold onto Hasselbeck since he's getting WR's back and the OL is jelling a bit more. Muhammad could be off and on depending on the matchup. And you never drop proven talent for someone who had one good game and isn't their primary guy (unless you're really desperate for a WR). Take Bryant Johnson or Hank Baskett for instance. People dropped guys like Desean Jackson, Greg Jennings, and Brandon Marshall for Baskett based on one week. Sucks to be them now because I got all 3 and left them Sidney Rice, Ted Ginn, and Ted Ginn respectively.
problem is, I have B Edwards who has been stinking up the joint... and I need someone till he comes around. I have Moore, but I would like to get Muhammad
T. Edwards L. Johnson J. Jones W. Dunn S. Smith L. Moore A. Fasano L. Coles M. Hasselbeck P. Burress J. Cotchery B. Edwards C. Perry Baltimore D M. Prater K what changes should be made
Start Trent Edwards, Steve Smith (Panthers), Larry Johnson, L. Moore, Anthony Fasano, Julius Jones and your D as well as kicker for sure. Do you have a RB/WR slot or a 3rd WR slot? Either way, I'd give Edwards a look even if he's been slumping because you don't wanna get caught off guard when he breaks out.
lol, I've always had a hard time keeping track of bye weeks. Looks like you're stuck with Dunn unless you think Perry's going to get back on track against a porous Dallas D.
Gentlemen, I believe that I'm very close to pulling off a miracle trade... Kevin Walter and Maroney for Rivers. This could def save my season and I would be doing it with two waiver wire pick ups. Walter would start for him and I think I sold him on Maroney producing well for a bye week fill-in. Wish me luck.
Good luck x2 for that. First the guy has to take it and then it has to get past a commish or league veto.
I'm 1/3 of the committee so that doesnt hurt. We also allowed Colston and Lewis for Steven Jackson and Rudi (when he was homeless) in the preseason, so I have that to hold over the other two.
He came back with Dwayne Bowe and Maroney for Rivers. I really hate to break up my WR group but I might have to. That would leave me with Marshall, Fitz, Walter, Randel-El. Addai, Slaton I duno, I'd be real thin at RB and taking a hit at WR. FAs: Michael Bush, Pittman, Pierre Thomas, Derrick Ward, Fargas Stuckey, Battle, Reed, Patten, Cammarillo, Hackett.
He says he might want another QB so I came back with Griese and Maroney for Rivers. If that still doesnt work I might throw Palmer and Maroney at him.
I really hate giving up Bowe bc he gets a ton of targets and if Gonzalez gets traded or LJ slows down, his value keeps growing. I figured that the move I would make to strengthen my RBs would be to pick up Fargas and Bush and stay with whoever comes out of the bye week with a bigger role.
Be on the lookout for Seatlles WRs btw. Dieon Branch and think it was Jackson as well? They have been hurt but should be returing after the bye week. If someone was putting them on the FA market or waiver wire, might be a niec pickup.
When is Colston supposed to be back? How about Shockey and whichever other WR is out? I think it would be hard to give up LJ for him right now but if your stacked at RB then maybe.
Latest on Colston: (TheHuddle) The Biloxi Sun-Herald reports New Orleans Saints WR Marques Colston (thumb) missed the team's practice Wednesday, Oct. 1, and he will be in a cast for one more week. He is targeting the team's Week 8 game for his return. Analysis: Colston seems to be progressing nicely in his recovery from thumb surgery but is still considered a few weeks away from a return. The New Orleans offense has performed well despite losing its top receiver but things will certainly look up when he returns to action. Colston was drafted as a top receiving option for fantasy teams this season so if you need some help at wide receiver test the waters on a trade with the Colston owner in your league. You could get a steal to help you during the stretch run in the second half of the season. There is a chance he will not be back until after their bye in week 9 but that schedule for NO's is much too tempting. I take the risk that either Turner or Grant will be good enough on a weekly basis that I can start at least one of them to go along with starting 4 WRs. Boldin, Colston, Gates and Engram. If both Grant and Turner really get going I would be golden.
I think you'll be fine with Turner. On the other hand, Grant looks like **** and if Rodgers is out or struggles again it will only get worse.
Yo Regan, any opinion on what I was talking about with Rivers? I really dont wana give up the WR with the most targets in the league right now for him.
This week should i start... Roethlisberger @ Jacksonville Griese @ Denver Big Ben has been a disappointment so far, but hes still my number 1 guy... Griese has been a pick machine but he will be in Denver against his former team who has one of the worst pass Ds in the league... Both on the road which sucks... who would you start?
Griese. I'm in the same scenario with Palmer and Griese. Hopefully not for long tho after I land Rivers.
