you may be better served to save your images as jpeg's. look at ronnie's jersey, the reason the colors look patchy, is because when you save as a gif, it limits the number of colors. and since you have a lot of reds, yellows, and blues in this image, there was bound to be less definition. if you need any help with formating/saving, just ask. PS makes it pretty simple to optimize your images.
Glad to help I save all my stuff as a .png because the quality is better than a .jpeg IMO. gif's are good if you need a smaller file or are doing animation, but they aren't all that great quality-wise.
The picture isn't that bad compared to some that I've seen, but there are ways to brighten it up and bring out the colors of even the darkest images.
Keep in mind that the better the quality, the higher the kb weight will be (larger file). If you're going to use it as a signature, then I would recommend saving it as a .jpeg or a gif because the filesize needs to fall within the site's sig limits. http://forums.thephins.com/graphics...avatar-signature-sizes-how-add-signature.html If you are just going to show it off and want the best quality, then I'd save it as a .png.
use the darkness to your advantage. keep in mind what its going to look like when its in your sig. I made this sig. I was able to use the white space surrounding the sig to cast the lighting on the photo. its still a dark photo. but its now complimented with bright accents. balance ****ing rocks!!!
