Id say LT. Raiders run D has been pretty bad. Only thing (with both backs) is to check injury concerns. Maybe go with the one that sounds healthier lol. Both have been banged up, but both could have good days. Unless you have another matchup you love at RB might not be a bad idea to start both if healthy. Hmm tough one on Jackson vs LJ. Denvers D is terrible, but so is the entire KC team. Then again so is St Louis, and I might have more faith in the Buffalo D over Denvers. LJ has been doing his annual "I need the ball more" speech though, maybe an increase in carries? TBH I havent seen what Edge has been doing so I dont feel to good making a prediction with him, but if he has been producing some TDs I miiiiight stick with him.
I'm sorry, that kind of came out wrong. I'm starting Jackson and LJ for sure. Although Jackson's stats aren't great, he's too big of a player in their offense and gets too many touches--he still gets 10+ pts a game. My real dilemma is Slaton or Edge at the RB/WR Flex position. I know what I'll get from Edge (5-9 pts), but I wonder what I'll be seeing from Slaton. Edge doesn't get TDs bc those go to T. Hightower, which sucks.
Lance Moore is looking good for the Saints. I picked him up and believe he will be Brees primary target until Colsten gets back.
I'm glad I took Slaton over E.James. However, I'm a little less happy with the play of J.T. O'Sullivan so far. Roethlisberger needs to have a big game tomorrow night for me, along with my 4:00 games. LJ and Slaton pulling the weight for me thus far.
Edgerrin James having a fine game now-- LJ 20 pts, Slaton 15 pts, James 18 pts. S.Jackson better put up some numbers.
Should I trade Maurice Jones Drew and Santonio Holmes for Jamal Lewis and Anquan Boldin? I'm pretty set at RB with MJD along with Clinton Portis, Darren McFadden, Ronnie Brown, and Brandon Jacobs... At WR I have Holmes along with TJ Houshmanzadeh, Dwayne Bowe, Santana Moss, and Anthony Gonzalez. You start 2 RB and 3 WR.
You better do that trade. Holmes is struggling along with Big Ben and Lewis is starting to emerge a bit.
Boldin, trying to catch a ball got pushed into a launching defender. It was helmet to helmet and he went limp in mid air. He was taken away in an ambulance on one of those back stabilizing boards. It is one of the scariest hits I've seen in awhile. Fantasy relevance, don't do that trade yet. Hope the guy is OK..
New update: I talked to the guy and we started talking about a Calvin and Chris Johnson for Reggie Wayne and Ronnie. Im liking this deal a lot more mainly because I'm not giving up my best player. I'm going to see if he'll throw in Campbell or his D(Steelers). What do you guys think of this one?
I'm hearing he is okay...however i agree i would keep an eye out for any info before you do the trade
In a keeper league, you start 2 QB's, 2 RB's and a flex - along with others but that's all that matters for this question. It's a small league, and i'm pretty deep at RB. I got offered a trade of Addai for McNabb My QB's are Brees and Big Ben. RB's are Portis/Addai/Stewart/Chris Johnson/Ronnie Brown The guy needs a RB pretty badly, not sure I want to give up Addai though. Not sure I need McNabb that badly either. I'm leaning towards accepting the trade since I'm deep at RB and Big Ben scares me. I have 5 capapble RB's and can only start 3 so getting another capable QB makes sense.
Well Addai could end up taking off as the offensive line is getting healthier. If you don't really need a QB then why take McNabb?
I wouldn't do that trade DS. McNabb is not that much better then BB, and McNabb still doesn't have long term offensive threats. I agree that BB isn't tearing it up, but there IS talent on that team. Talent that will emerge. If health problems concern you, isn't trading for McNabb counter productive? People are really down on Addai right now, but that Colts offense WILL NOT be as it was all year. Not going to happen. They've played 3 games... 3 games. The Colts are going to fly out of the gate at some point. You also have two rookie RB. Thats fine with depth, but if you give Addai away, you're asking or trouble.
Good points all around. I think I might counter with Jonathan Stewart and if he doesnt bite just let it go. He needs the RB more than I need the QB. Stewart wont really play with my RB depth so I'm not losing much even if Stewart continues to perform.
Speaking of Pitt, I'm losing 80-93 this week (I have a bunch of backups playing, bye week) and need atleast 13 points from Heath Miller tonight.
Id def. still look to pick up a QB sometime though. Ben is taking alot of hits and the minor injuries are piling up. This should be one of his worst stretches (Philly/Balt Ds are nasty) but worth it to get a backup. Not sure an injury prone McNabb is the answer though heh.
Palmer is killing me! I have Palmer and Pennington, I think I'm dropping Palmer and picking up Orton. I don't have many choices, its between Orton, Russell, Flacco, Ryan and Collins. Not much to chose from.
For some reason, Kyle Orton, fantasy starter, sounds like a fantasy nightmare even though he's been on a roll. You gotta believe the other foot's gonna drop sometime soon and give you a goose egg or negative for points. I'd start Pennington next week and just hold onto Palmer for a while.
I didn't start Chris Johnson at all last week, because he was playing Minny's D, and he ****ing did great.
Well, I started Chris Perry thinking Cleveland sucked but got rewarded by a goose-egg. If Favre didn't go nuts on the Cards, I would've been in deep ****.
Id stay away from any bengals for awhile, that team is absolutely horrible, and if Palmer doesnt play they will get smacked alot.
Edwards probably. Easier matchup and a more well-rounded team. Hasselbeck's facing that nasty Giants D.
I'm at a loss..I'm 0-4 in a league and have the 3rd most pts so far total. My team = Brees, Warner, Fitz, Cal Johnson, Deshaun Jackson, Houshmanzadeh, Harrison, Lynch, Jackson, Stewart, Slaton, Fasano, Baltimore D, Bironas. Unreal, ain't it? I've just been offered a trade...R.Wayne C.Cooley J.Lewis for Cal. Johnson and J. Stewart. Obviously I jumped all over that. Maybe I can get a W this week!
Having a difficult time picking which two backs to start this week. Michael Turner @ GB Chris Johnson @ Baltimore MJD vs. Pittsburgh Darren Sproles vs. Miami Steve Slaton vs. Indianapolis It is a PPR league and get points for return yards. I sat Johnson last week and it bit me in the ***.
Id go Turner and Slaton but the fact that return yards count almost makes Sproles look like a must start. Dammit I hope he isnt tho once Sunday gets here.
week 5 qb? Im assuming Palmer is out against Dal. Griese against TB? Pick up Orton against Det? Penny in SD? Cassel in SF? Huard in Car?
Palmer swears he is going to play. The "experts" are saying Cassel, and Griese will have good games, we'll see.
I duno man I dont really wana count on Palmer and then have him not start or play for a quarter and leave. Griese is the only other one on my roster right now. I'm pretty tempted to pick up Orton tho, esp since the guy Im playing has Forte.
Griese's going against Tampa Bay? That doesn't sound right. He is going against the 31st ranked passing D in Denver though. That will help so I'd start him readily since you already have him. Denver can't get a pass rush going so he'll have all day to let Champ and Dre run ragged. Don't pick up Orton unless you have someone you're planning to drop anyways. I just have a nagging feeling the other shoe's gonna drop.
Just looking at one of my Yahoo rosters and I was thinking of consolidating the WR spot for a RB since I have a glut of em. And I get this offer of Reggie Bush for Marvin Harrison and Roy Williams. Marques Colston is on FA as are Meachem, Engram, and Bruce. My current roster: QB - Cutler, Favre RB - Westbrook, Julius Jones, Jamal Lewis, Edge WR - TO, Fitz, Desean, Harrison, Roy TE - Fasano, Daniels K - Kasay DEF - Pitts
