A flurry of action over the weekend, and now the "legal tampering" period begins today.

Dolphins are expected to have interest in Joey Bosa. I'd be interested in him on a one year prove it type deal as a situational pass rusher.

I expect Holland to agree with Carolina on a mega deal pretty quickly.

    Let the discussions begin.

We're off to a good start, Berrios to the Texans.

The Texans have added a wide receiver in the first minutes of free agency. Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that they have agreed to terms with Braxton Berrios. It’s a one-year deal worth $2 million.

Berrios tore his ACL in his sixth appearance for the Dolphins last season. He did not catch a pass in those appearances, but was working as a kickoff and punt returner.

Berrios has 134 catches for 1,323 yards and six touchdowns for his career. He has also run for four scores and he has one kickoff return touchdown.

    Jets loose starter:

Defensive tackle Jonathan Allen out, defensive tackle Javon Kinlaw in. Via Adam Schefter of ESPN.com, the Commanders have agreed to terms with Kinlaw on a three-year, $45 million deal. A first-round draft pick of the 49ers in 2020, Kinlaw was traded to the Jets in 2024, where he became a full-time starter for the first time.

    And another:
Haason Reddick has found a new team at the start of the negotiating window. According to multiple reports, Reddick has agreed to a one-year deal with the Buccaneers. The initial reports indicate Reddick’s deal is worth $14 million with $12 million guaranteed.
He was No. 22 on PFT’s list of the top 100 free agents of this offseason.

Reddick was traded from the Eagles to the Jets last offseason and did not report to the club until midway through the year. He ended up playing 10 games with two starts for New York, recording a sack, two tackles for loss, and three QB hits.

Chris Godwin has agreed to terms to return to the Buccaneers. It’s a three-year, $66 million deal with a chance to push the $22 million APY to $24 million. Of the amount, $44 million is guaranteed at signing. Adam Schefter of ESPN adds that the Patriots were making a push to sign Godwin. But they didn't get him.

According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Media, New England is signing Robert Spillane.Spillane, 29, spent the last two seasons with Las Vegas, starting all 17 games each year. He was on the field for 97 percent of defensive snaps in 2023 and 98 percent of the unit’s snaps in 2024.
He was No. 66 on PFT’s list of the top 100 free agents of 2025.

Spillane played under new Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel in his rookie season of 2018 with Tennessee. He signed with the Titans as an undrafted free agent but was then let go midway through the season.

The Dolphins announced a new deal with one of their own free agents on Monday. They have signed defensive lineman Matt Dickerson to a new deal. They did not disclose any terms of the deal. Dickerson signed to the Miami practice squad last October and then appeared in four games after being added to the active roster. He played 15 defensive snaps and one special teams snap in those appearances.
Dickerson has also played for the Chiefs, Falcons, and Titans since entering the league in 2018. He has 42 tackles, three tackles for loss, and three quarterback hits in 40 career games.

Per multiple reports, the Texans have traded left tackle Laremy Tunsil to the Commanders.
Via Adam Schefter of ESPN.co, the Commanders are sending a 2025 third-round pick, a 2025 seventh-round pick, a 2026 second-round pick, and a 2026 fourth-round pick to the Texans. The Texans are sending a 2025 fourth-round pick to the Commanders, with Tunsil.

Tunsil is signed for two more years. He has a base salary of $20.95 million in 2025 and a $20.95 million salary in 2026. He also has annual workout bonuses of $150,000 and $250,000 in per-game active roster bonuses.

A first-round pick in 2016 who slid when someone posted photos of him smoking marijuana in a gas mask just as the draft was starting, Tunsil has spent three years in Miami and six in Houston.

At the end of the day this guy has been traded for:
    2 1st rounders
    2 2nd rounders
    3rd rounder
    2 4th rounders
    6th rounder
    7th rounder

He is the gift that keeps on giving.

looking on the NFL app, every team apart from Miami appears to have made signings.
Does Grier realise that FA has started?

Maybe they are letting everyone else spend the big money and swoop up some good (not great) players at a reasonable price. It's what he did last year. Holland must be squirming a little.

Seriously...I tried to remain cool about this signing, but this is beyond stupid. What a putrid quarterback he is. I couldn't stand him in New York. This is far from a Geno Smith rejuvenation. If he ends up having to play due to yet another Tua injury, this team will go down in flames and McDaniel and Grier will burn with it. You better hope he doesn't have to play in any kind of meaningful game(s). Grier sucks.

Yeah I found that interesting as well. Lots of speculation he was going quick, possibly to Carolina. Instead they went with Moehrig (who I thought we should have been in on but whatevs).

You might be right, but I think you also are underestimating just how bad they have been at developing QBs. That media environment is awful and the team is a mess. As a backup, the signing is fine enough. With any kind of extended Tua absence, a Mariota, Thompson or Boyle type was just a waste. Wilson offers some upside, it's not like the Jets were the only team that thought highly of him or considered him talented. And it's not just Geno, Darnold had a renaissance as well. While not likely, it's not impossible McDaniel can salvage good play out of him.

And next up for the Jets to screw up: Justin Fields, a guy who needs more development than most after the Bears messed him up.

He should be - I don’t know why a guy who played like crap is expecting teams to be falling over themselves to sign him.

Sound like we are signing James Daniels. A risk as he's coming off a major injury, but he's a perfect fit for the offense and if he's right he could be a pro-bowl caliber player. Need another surefire starter and a capable backup.

The Dolphins added an offensive lineman to their free agency agreements on Monday night.

Guard James Daniels has agreed to terms with the AFC East club. Per multiple reports, it is a three-year, $24 million deal in Miami.

Daniels was a 2018 second-round pick in Chicago and he signed a three-year deal with the Steelers in 2022. He’s seen time at both guard and center over the course of his career, but was at right guard in Pittsburgh in 2024.

That run was cut short when Daniels tore his Achilles in the fourth game of the season, so the Dolphins will be hoping he’s back to full health by the start of the season.

Daniels is an absolute mauler in the run game. Good signing on a very friendly deal. He should be ready to go this summer.

The Dolphins are bringing linebacker Quinton Bell back for another season. Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that the Dolphins have agreed to a one-year deal with Bell. He will make $1.5 million under the terms of the new pact.

Bell spent part of 2023 on the practice squad in Miami and then appeared in all 17 games for the Dolphins last season. He made three starts and ended the season with 27 tackles, three tackles for loss, a sack, and a forced fumble.

I've seen a good amount of Lions games and I like him but ...

Injuries are a thing of course. But a one year deal at 4 million is fine. He's opportunistic, can get hands on the ball, a savvy blitzer. He could have a really good year.

Wilson is hot garbage. He was the 3rd QB for Sean Payton last year and he thought so much of him that he let him go. The Dolphins seem like the only team dumb enough to sign him. This is worse than the Mike White signing. There's no shining this turd. Just awful.

As their 3rd string QB? Because they reached a deal with Stidham before FA started, lol. If the Broncos had any interest in Wilson they would have signed him and not Stidham. I think the Dolphins signed him because he's dirt cheap. He's not good. Mike White is better and he stinks.
