Couldn't see a thread so I thought I'd start one. Been here long enough now, so it's about time.

Run the ball effectively with no fumbles. Stop the run forcing Thompson to pass. And hopefully skate by with a victory. Those are my "3" keys

Good case study to see how the team looks without one player cause it was ineptitude without Tua for four games

    Indictment in GM and coach

The starting QB out, then the 3rd string guy out and then they sign a guy off the coach but somehow any other coach would have figured that out. Reality is not one of your strong suits.

This is an indictment of the GM, period! Think about it, does it matter if it’s Tua handing the ball off to Achane, or Thompson handing the ball of to Achane? If Achane can’t pick up 5 yards running between the tackles, that’s neither quarterbacks’ fault, that’s the GM’s fault for dismissing the importance winning the battle in the trenches.

This ties in to what I was eluding to in the Tua Doubtful thread and the importance of backup quarterbacks. You can’t gamble the entire franchise on ONE player. You simply can’t. You HAVE to have a COMPLETE team so God forbid your starting quarterback is out, the backup can come in and run business as usual.

Sadly though, the entire model of NFL teams has changes where the entire outcome of an offense is predicated on a single player and we’ve seen the catastrophic effects from the 2011 Indianapolis Colts to the 2022/24 Miami Dolphins and every other team in between that lost its “star” quarterback.

'The most important member of the team is the quarterback. The second most important member of the team is the back-up quarterback.'

Can't remember who's quote that is but it's so true.

No Jameis, No Njoku and no Chubb for them.

Even with Huntley we might actually have a chance here. DTR is worse then Huntley.

    Expecting an ugly game regardless

Yeah, your job as coach is to be able to adapt your gameplan. If your offense is so complex that it can't be simplified, then yeah, it's an indictment of the coach.

Well...We need Drew Lock to keep throwing TDs today. We also really need to just beat the Browns regardless the circumstances. That is all. I hope Huntley somehow finds a groove out there. We need our defense to make some plays. A few field goals from our offensive player of the year Jason Sanders will help too.

Hopefully more so on the defense and running game.

This Cleveland roster should have problems scoring more than 10 points today. They haven’t scored more then 7 the last two weeks.

    Game just got more interesting.

I’m curious if Huntley will look any better/more comfortable with the extra time getting used to the offense.

But mostly we should be running the piss out of the ball, unless our defense falls apart.

McDaniel walking around on the sideline with a winter hat pulled low looks ridiculous when you see teenage girls in the crowd behind him with like long sleeve tees and no hats lmfao
