I like the series a lot. Its based on a series of books (charlene harris) and seems to be pretty close to following them. I won't spoil anything about the plot . The Sookie character is one of my favorites, she's great in the books. I think the social and political aspects along with a great lead character in Sookie make it a very different take on Vampires. Good stuff. It seems more graphic to me than the books but maybe that just because books always seem less graphic.
Great episode last night... Spoiler I think the supposed werewolf killed the grandmother in an effort to frame Bill and keep him and Sookie apart.
just out of courtesy in case a few members may have missed the episode last night. Give it a couple more days to give them time to catch up.
I don't mind you talking about an episode but man that was a BIG spoiler for me. From now on I'll just wait until Tuesdays before I check out this thread weekly. Posted via Mobile Device
Thats what I do normally. I tivo alot of shows so if I havent watched them yet, I wont go to the thread. Kudos to those that use the spoiler tags though.
That's what I do as well. I don't go into the thread until after I have seen the episode. Sorry for spoiling it..
Awesome episode tonight... Spoiler However, I'm now more confused than ever about that damn dog and if he truly is Sam or if the writer just wants us to believe that for now. It was also a nice little surprise at the end, getting to see more of Sookie than I thought we ever would in this series...
Spoiler Wasnt there an episode earlier in the season where Sam and the dog were together? Meaning Sam cant be the dog.
Spoiler Yeah there was that one scene of them together. I'm still trying to figure out the dynamic between the two. Is Sam a werewolf or can he shapeshift, or does he have a special ability, somewhat like Sookie, but where he can communicate with animals...Hell, maybe he's controlling wolves/dogs/wildlife to carry out the murders. It's so up in the air right now. The scene that got me from this last episode was when Bill was standing guard outside Sookie's grandmother's house and then the dog comes up and sits right down beside him as if he(or Sam) were standing guard as well. Also, does Sam really have anything to do with the murders at all.
Spoiler And the part where he said to Bill that they both knew what Sookie was and if something happened to her it was his fault.
there's nothing higher to look at!! you meen the mosquito bites? kinda like looking at a feminine man. speaking of true blood, did they change the day it plays to sunday? the reason i ask is i was listening to the local radio this morning and a guy was talking about this ep and he said "last nights ep" ensinuating that it played sunday night.
thanks, i did not know that, i don't have hbo so i have to find other meens to watch it..and just assumed it still played on tuesdays.
Tuesdays are when it is replayed. All HBO original series air on Sunday nights first, with replays throughout the week, beginning on Tuesday.
what the deuce? i watched the entire episode to see the bare back of her? i thought they were showing her manboobs? 2 centimeters of the back of the side of one is a letdown..the books much more graphic/erotic then what they have done so far. with it being on hbo i thought it would be close to how the books are shame hbo..shame on you.
HBO offers a more family friendly (no nudity) version of some of their shows as well, this must be the one he's referring too. They also do this for some Showtimes shows like Californication, Dexter, & The Tudors...
That's criminal. Child: Mom, can I watch Trueblood? Mom: No, that show has nudity. Child: Mom, this is the version with no nudity; this only has people getting their throats ripped out. Mom: Oh, alright then...that's fine.
wow, I had no idea about that. Glad I've managed to miss these lame, I mean "family friendly" versions.
Which episode was that in? I want to rewatch that one b/c I missed seeing him and the dog in the same scene.
I can't remember which episode it was, but Sam was sitting on the steps of his trailer and the dog came up to him and then I believe started to play fetch with him.
All i can say after watching the episode from sunday last night is wow. This really may be the best show on tv
