Like clockwork the usual suspects have disappeared after a win. I’m sure they’ll be here after they twist somethings in order for this win to not mean anything or to make Tua look bad.

All 3 phases showed up. Holland and Poyer suck. Defense still needs to get better at tackling. Sieler is a beast. Chop is the best rookie DE in the league. Weaver has done a great job…especially considering all the defensive injuries. Wynn is better than Eich. Achane and Jonuu are currently the best receivers on the team. Sanders is MONEY!

You would want to think people would show up after a win happy and excited we're still in the mix for a playoff spot. But nope.

After yesterday we're #10 in points allowed per game. This is encouraging. This defense can get a lot better but we're already seeing something better than in most years past.

In a perfect world, Robinson, Phillips and Chubb would be a nearly unstoppable pass rushing force, as they could rotate and stay fresher and there would be no drop off (and no breaks for the opposing qb) from play to play.

You realize that other than Aiyuk and CMC the 49ers pretty much had all their starters playing, right? The Dolphins were missing JP, Chubb, Waddle, and Jackson. To name a few. And Hill couldn’t catch a cold yesterday or it would have been a complete blowout.
The “bad teams” mantra doesn’t hold much water. This is the NFL and not college. “Lesser” teams beat better teams all the time. Washington just beat the Eagles. The Cowboys beat the Bucs. The Panthers beat the Cards. Buffalo and Minny barely beat the Pats and Seahawks by 3 points in each game. The Titans beat the Texans last week. There are many more examples throughout this and previous seasons.

River and Malik were Tuas receivers yesterday, hill with three drops only hurt the team

he elevates everyone’s game he plays with

that why I’m adamant we should trade reek for assets to fill out a more balanced roster

So what is this regimen record against playoff teams in 3 years?
Sorry last I heard it's a free country and I can have my own opinion!
No playoff win equals failed season in my book.
Be optimistic all you want I don't care.

If I thought we could get a few needed pieces for Tyreek I’d do it. I’m not sure what another team would give up for him and his contract, however.

Who said you can’t have your own opinion?

It’s funny when someone gets upset over another person giving an opinion about their own opinion while claiming that giving opinions is their “right”.

To me, context matters. We lost Tua for a month and he wasn't himself in the first few games back. That six-game stretch, where we went 1-5, ended the season before it even started. With a healthy Tua, I think we pick up 2-3 extra wins in that stretch and we'd be sitting comfortably in the #6 seed today. We can't re-write history though and it is what it is...injuries derailed the early part of the season and people on the bench didn't step up.

To be even talking playoffs at this point is encouraging. But it's not about that for me, it's about winning the last three games and starting the next season with some momentum. If we get a playoff game, fantastic. If we win then I'll be impressed, even though I believe that this team has the talent to compete with anyone. They have to execute though when it matters the most.

We have a history of collapsing in December when every game matters. Tua choked hard two weeks ago, so it's nice that he bounced back. My only goal is to see him do that two more times, two more games ending in a W. Then let the chips fall where they may.

And that is fine you feel that way but to me this team is not built to compete against playoff teams as our record against them speaks for itself.
If we win final 3 I just see a repeat of the same flawed philosophy of the last 3 years and the mediocrity carousel.
Grier will definitely keep his job if that happens and I want him gone.

Then find a new team to root for. My god do you always have to be such a downer? It's physically nauseating at times to read your ****. You act as if optimistic ideals equate to being happy with mediocrity. Nobody here is suggesting that by showing optimism. We all want to see wins just as bad as you do. You're not special or all alone in this.

It’s weird, right? I mean, who would have ever thought that a fan would actually root for their team to win? And who would believe that a fan (supposedly) of a team would be upset that other fans of the same team might root for that team?
And remember, you can have an opinion, but if someone else disagrees with your opinion (and actually gives some facts and objectivity while doing it) you can cry and whine and pretend to be attacked and make believe that you can’t have an opinion. Lol

To cut Tyreek a bit of slack, that drop in the end zone was tipped by the DB, just before it hit Reek in the chest, wasn't it? Just enough to make a difference. Or do people think that a receiver of his standing should have caught it no matter?

It was tipped a little, but I think he should have still caught it. Tyreek was dropping passes that hit him in the chest all day. Hopefully he comes out and proves something over the next two games.

This is what Grier has done to the fanbase. We are all die hard Dolphins fans. We all live to see the Dolphins play every week...see the team rip off long runs...long deep touchdown passes...seeing our defense sack the opposing team's quarterback. We all love to see our team and want to see them win week after week. This is what we WANT. But at the heart of all our disappointment, it's Chris Grier!

Grier has done SOME good with the team, there is no denying that. He's brought in some great players but his method of building the team has been backwards. Instead of building the team through the draft...instead of building the trenches and augmenting with free agents, he's done the complete opposite and as a result, we have a team with aged veterans that are past their prime, losing good draft picks due to salary issues as a result of some of these free agents and leaving holes that prevent the Dolphins from being that dominant team.

So here we are as Dolphins fans, knowing with what our base is with Grier as the architect, the team is only going to go so far. So here we are, divided.

Yes he should have caught it. That's what your #1 receiver should be able to do. He should also be able to hold onto a ball and not have it ripped away like he did against Houston. For comparison Jonnu Smith had a crucial catch on a tipped ball on the OT drive against the Jets two weeks ago. That's what I expect from the man who was voted "best player in the NFL" entering into the season. As Dan has mentioned earlier something has definitely been off with Tyreek this season.

Again, it's really twisting what he wants.

Ideally the Dolphins win. But with Grier around, wins keep him, and we have yet to see any playoff success.

So great we win some regular season games, Yay, he just wants playoff wins. You arguing that you're a better fan because essentially you value regular season wins more than him, is silly.

I agree generally, but disagree wholeheartedly about that ball from agaist Houston.

Tyreek had to bring that ball back to his body, and the defender was between his body and the ball.

    Well…yes and no.

Yes in so much when you throw the ball to your WR1, it should be an automatic catch however,

That pass that was ripped away from Hill…he should not have been the receiver on that particular throw. It SHOULD have been Beckham…THATS what he was brought in for, not only to be that dependable WR3 receiver but the big tall receiver that could go up and fight for those types of passes. Remember, Hill is only what, 5’9”? Wrong receiver but OBJ quit the moment he was signed.

I don't think that's what anyone here is saying. I believe we're all in the same boat as far as wanting the ultimate prize for this team. There's no possible way we can disagree on that.
For me personally, this isn't over until we are eliminated. I personally would rather see us in the postseason getting whooped by Buffalo as opposed to no playoffs at all.
Nobody thinks they are a better fan because we value a win against the Patriots. For me, after a win, I look at what we did right...It gives hope that they may be able to apply it the next ten they play a top tier team. In other words, some see the potential, others see the flaws. Some see both. We all want to see this team win in the postseason.

Not exactly how you came across to me.
Go root for another team, your such a downer.
You 100 percent came across that you are a better fan than me.
I have watched almost every game since NFL ticket became a thing and praise the team when they are doing well and bash the hell out of them when they aren't.
I respect your opinion you want to win to me, meaningless games.I want to win a superbowl and this team isn't even close because Grier doesn't not know how to build a team.
It was sickening to me watching Ross give McDaniel a game ball for beating another ****ty team at home. This tells me he is content putting a mediocre team on the field.
I live in Eagles country and that would never happen up here.Fans here wanted coach fired a year removed from Superbowl apperance.
So anyway enough of my rant.

Yeah man, I get it. I also used to be the same way. Just gotta make the playoffs, there's always a chance.

But this team has disappointed and let down so often, that I don't believe they'll win in the playoffs.

So it's not that I disagree. Know what I mean?

The ultimate goal for every team is to win the Super Bowl. That’s a no brainer but to win the Super Bowl, you gotta get to the Super Bowl. To get to the Super Bowl, you gotta get to the playoffs. To get to the playoffs, you gotta beat the teams on your schedule; win the games you’re supposed to win, and a few of the games you’re not supposed to win.

Every team wins games they’re supposed to win…and every team loses games they shouldn’t.

Yeah man. Honestly, I'd give anything to believe in this team like I did in the 90s, with Marino. I truly believed we always had a shot, just had to make the playoffs.

If you know the Bible, I guess I'm just Doubting Thomas. I've got to see success before I'll believe we're there now. Haha

Merry Christmas man. Sorry if I've been a downer, hasn't been my intent.
