    Wrong… so wrong. lol

Last year Tua was first in total passing air yards, second in air yards/attempt, second in the league in yards/attempt and 5th in yards/completion.

He also lead the league in 30, 40, and 50+ yard completions.

(And I see you @dolphin25… liking a post because you’re still having trouble with stats. Lmao )

Those long completions were the benefit of yards after the pass gained by one of the most talented, fastest, and wileyest receiving corps in the league. Don't take away their accomplishments last year to give them to Tua. Did a lot of that yardage come about because of Tua's quick defensive reads and his excellent ball placement on passes? Absolutely, he is accurate and fast to get the ball in the right place for his receivers.

17th was his ranking in yards in the air per pass, and iirc that ranking last year came from PFF. Tua has never had a big deep ball arm, and never will. He did rank 2nd in 2022.

Your list doesn’t quite make me clear where you stand with Tua sounds like some “ I don’t think he will succeed but I hope he does”

Which is fine if you think that, you can tell us without judgement.

When you say “ despite his deep ball”

You lose me, Tua imo is the best deep ball thrower in the game

Let me try to clear something up in the evaluation of a Qb world

You dont need to have a big arm to be a great deep ball thrower.

You can criticize his arm strength but if you’re still on this old *** narrative I would have to move on from this conversation.

I’m not going re-hash the demonstrated factual proof of your false statement. I’m simply going to ask…

What Dolphins team have you been watching the last 2 years?????

Most trolls don’t realize that new members don’t typically jump into old conversations and post as if they’ve been here a long time. I’d bet $10k this guy has been banned before or is just an alt for someone else here who likes to rile things up.

Dolphins wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. did not get on the field at all during training camp or the preseason and he won’t be getting on the field in the first four weeks of the regular season either.

The Dolphins left Beckham on the physically unable to perform list when they cut their roster to 53 players on Tuesday and General Manager Chris Grier said at a Wednesday press conference that the team knew he might not be ready to go for the start of the season. Grier, who declined to discuss the nature of Beckham’s injury, said that Beckham did not want to remain on the PUP list, but the team thought it was the most prudent way to go.

“He is very close, but, for us, it was the long play,” Grier said. “We didn’t want him to rush back, feeling he had to rush back, and then something happened and sets us back. . . . We just felt what’s best for him long haul to help us here win games is to put him down for a little bit right now.”

Beckham is ineligible to play in the first four games, but Grier’s comments suggest that his absence from the lineup won’t last much beyond that and, if the Dolphins have played their cards right, he won’t have to miss any more time the rest of the way.

There is nothing false. Tua will never throw the ball 40+ yds on a rope the way a QB with a big arm can. You can disagree with reality all you like. You can disagree with every NFL scout to ever assess the man. You can disagree with the analysts who have stated this ad nauseum. I really don't care. On deep balls Tua has to heave it for all he's worth, and his accuracy and control suffers greatly for it. He will never have an arm like Elway, Marino, Farve, Herbert, Allen, Flacco, or many others who throw a 50 yd pass on a rope making it look effortless.

Lol. So you're saying a person without the physical gifts to enable them to do something without hitting the wall of their physical limitations can do something consistently just as well as a person with the physical gifts that enable them to do so without hitting the wall of their physical limits.

That said that TD completion to Hill just now was a great read and completion hitting the receiver open in space on the move. Schweet.

Great defensive stand, followed by a gut punch TD on first down.

Sucks, they got robbed on the kick off fumble recovery.

That was not on a rope. LOL. Also, if you don't like my posts, then don't read them. Pretty easy remedy for you.

Btw, just incase you didn't know it the phrase "on a rope" in football doesn't mean a rainbow arc looking jump rope, it means like a tight rope.

I recommend ignoring my posts if you don't like what I have to say, vs trying to tell another grown man what to do. You'll look far less ridiculous and self righteous.

Throwing the ball up and over defenders in the manner Tua did, 30+ yards in the air, at a full sprint Tyreek is a “rope” to anyone else who isn’t attempting to troll. Thinking that a QB needs to break the WR’s fingers or it’s not a rope is pretty ignorant.

    Troll

Achane played incredible as a receiver today, but after Waddle and Hill we had no other WR that could catch or get open.

Hill and Waddle like 230 yards. All you need is for the TE and Barios to catch perfect passes.

Three teams in less than three years proves that to be true. At least our investment was only $3m - the Ravens gave him $18m to not do much.

It’s kind of a shame - dude was really talented before injuries brought him down. At least he has that catch that he will always be remembered for.

With the playoffs looming, a veteran receiver is suddenly available. So what happens next for Odell Beckham, Jr.?
He’ll pass through waivers. Anyone who claims him will be picking up the remainder of his $3 million base salary. It works out to $500,000.

If he clears waivers, he becomes a free agent. It’s unclear whether he’d command anything more than the prorated veteran minimum of $1.21 million.

Playoff teams that could use help at the position include the Steelers and Chiefs. Without George Pickens, who has a hamstring injury, Beckham arguably brings more to the table than all of the other receivers on the roster, except Mike Williams.

That assumes Beckham still has gas in the tank. The Dolphins did, but they were wrong. He had nine catches for 55 yards in nine games.

Other potentially interested teams include the Chargers, the Ravens (who gave him $15 million guaranteed in 2023), the Rams (where he played in 2021), the Buccaneers, and the Commanders.

Again, the question is whether he can still play at a high level. He’s not what he once was. Is what he currently is good enough?

As incredible as I thought Beckham was entering the league, I knew the flash would be relatively short lived. He had one of the best quarterbacks in the league to get the ball to him and his fingers were often made of butter.
