Did you seriously just state that Tua is better than Marino? I know you are delusional but that is just plain crazy delusional even for you.

You should slap yourself in the face for having said that.

Lmao… He’s not better than Marino. It took us 20+ years after Marino to get a good QB.

    I'm quoting you:

"It took 20+ years to get a quarterback better than Marino"

At least admit that you wrote that wrong and didn't mean it that way.

Let's avoid suggestions of violence... LOL

But no, Tua does not in any way shape or form deserve to be compared to Marino...

Marino changed the NFL... Pretty much by himself... He reset the bar offencively for what was even possible.

So if Tua was 50% better than Mahomes... or any other top QB in football.... Yeah then we would be comparing apples to apples.

Tua is a good QB... He not better than any other QB in football... He is not the best player in the entire NFL... He is not changing the game by himself.

Please let's just stop this silliness.

What were your expectations for the OL coming into this season? Are they better or worse from what you‘ve expected? I think he did a damn good job again when you look at what we’ve got, you disagree and think Tua makes the world go around, good for you!

Man, you just cannot stop making straw man arguments. Where did I say that Tua makes the world go round? Look carefully. My expectations were inline with what we have. They value run blocking over pass blocking with the expectation that the QB will make up the difference. Movement over power, they want blockers that can get to the next level against light boxes with the expectation that the skill positions will force light boxes.

Miami is 15th is OL spending by dollars paid out this year. The Dolphins are lower mid of the pack for rush yards and mid for YPC. You keep making statements about how you think Butch is doing with no stats or analysis backing the statements. Why do you think he is above average? I think the OL is performing averagely.

Strawman, lol! Average is pretty good for what he’s got, I know you don’t and think it’s Tua, good for you!

Actually it wasn't. The majority of our rushes last season were running outside of the tackles, depending on the running backs' speed to break the perimeter. This season, we are rushing more between the tackles, but not as often as you want to.

Well I was just commenting on his remark about our run blocking last season, that it wasn’t that great.

If you can’t consistently run the ball between the tackles, your run blocking isn’t that great. Fortunately our back have explosive speed to hit the edge and gain yardage. That was last season. This season we are running the ball more up the gut, but still not quite as much as I would like. If your back can get past the line of scrimmage up the middle, with our speed, he’ll have all kinds of real estate to make big plays, which in turn will only help Tua. With a bonafide running game, play action pass will pay dividends all day long.

Don't the offensive line have to block even on outside runs?

As long as the OT and TE are able to seal their defenders, when you have the speed our back have, you can get on the perimeter and get the ball up field, one of the main reasons a lot of those outside runs are to the left side of the line and Armstead.

Be quiet, grown ups talking here. The edge rusher is the defensive end who is engaged by either the offensive tackle of the tight end, depending on the formation.

Learn the game before making anymore of a fool of yourself. I’ve ignored and tolerated your ignorance but this 3rd glass of brandy won’t allow it.

They still have to seal the edge.... To help the back get outside and make the corner.

last time I checked.... The Tackle is part of the offensive line sweetheart. Ergo the tight end blocking with the Tackle is part of the run blocking.

    Enjoy your Brandy....

But thank you for grouping them together, and making them seem more important.

    Very impressive.

You just validated others' claim about you. If you're going to nitpick each individual post and not debate what a person is actually saying, then that is the epitome of being a troll.

You're really going to accuse him of "nitpicking posts," when Dan, Finatik, and a few others have been doing exactly that for like three years?

This place has turned into a complete joke of a "forum."

I’m not dan, finatik or anyone else. I was having an open discussion on the offensive line and the running game, several posts in an open exchange of thoughts and this person, who admittedly didn’t care what was just previously said took that last post and “trolled” it.

Now if he would have chosen to join in the discussion and did so in an honest open exchange of thoughts and ideas, I would have welcomed it. But that’s not what he did now, was it?

Everyone here knows me. I treat everyone with dignity and respect. I’ve called out those whom I disagree with and told them to knock it off, I’ve told Dan whom I frequently agree with to knock it off. I’m not infallible though, there have been times I’ve let my emotions get the better of me and have regretfully said things I shouldn’t, but those times are very few and far in between. Everyone here knows that so if I’m calling someone out as being a troll or engaging in troll behavior, it’s reached THAT level.

good god... This is so ridiculous....

Okay man... Here is the deal.... I did not "nit-pick" anything... It is as simple as this: I responded to the individual post. I did not go back to previous posts and then try to tie it all together to make a response to multiple posts from you.

I cannot be the only person here that when they have a few minutes to kill logs on and sees alerts at the top right of the page...And when it says that someone commented on a post, or quoted a post...etc... They go check out what new comments have been made. I did not go back and look at previous posts... Sometimes I do... Sometimes I do not.

If you feel an apology is owed.... Fine you can have it.... Sorry man. LOL

Now you can go back to picking at my posts without being offended.

    Enjoy your day
