But for this supposed elite offense to not be able to put the game away when it mattered? That's the entire point, man. This team just can't get it done. Tua cannot put the team on his back, and scramble a bunch either. I was very happy with the run Tua had in this game, btw. However, it is one of my issues with Tua, I think he is more dependent on his surrounding cast than others. It just is what it is, we won't ever agree on some of this stuff. Like, me personally, IDGAF about the offensive numbers, if we can't win a playoff game.
More lies from you. When did I ever say you said you hate Tua? Stop lying left and right. Lies after lies after lies. It never ends. NO integrity on your part. btw.. to help you out a bit.. that was Finatik saying that, not me. So once again your misrepresentations are on an egregious level. Can you at least admit you lied this time?
I actually agree that an elite offense should have put this game away. Tua didn't play elite in this game. However he has in many other games. He needs to do better no doubt.
and posts like.... Well 61% of the time when you score x amount of points you win.... or saying that we should look to the bright side because we had 377 yards of offence. None of that does anything for me. We lost. The season is over... Three years we have waited for Greer and McD.... Waited for nothing.
Now they will win meaningless games that can only hurt our draft position. Let the next level of screwing us over as Dolphin fans begin.
I scratch my head in utter confusion about folks and draft positions. The following teams have had horrible draft positions and continue to have great seasons. Kansas City Baltimore Buffalo Minnesota San Francisco Green Bay The following teams consistently have great positions and continuously suck NY Jets Carolina Cleveland Jacksonville I’d rather a team play their a$$es off and draft a player to fill a need than tank for a top draft pick, which more often fails than pans out.
Minnesota? Some of those teams are also only recently good, such as SF and Buffalo. In any case, usually the reason for their success is a great GM or great HC. KC is also interesting. They went from the gutter to being a consistent but weak playoff team after hiring Reid, and then in a stroke of genius/luck they moved way up in the draft to pick Mahomes after which they became a dynasty. So in the key draft that made them a dynasty they actually picked top 10. I think the real take home message is you need a very good HC and GM. They're as difficult to come by as a great QB.
Cool, maybe you should just go cook another ham with your wife. Maybe you can make some homemade Dutch Apple Pie too. With a small bowl of vanilla ice cream? I mean....Hellz yes!
I agree. We’ve had this discussion before and as I recall I place a bit more emphasis on the importance of head coach, but that’s neither here nor there. When it comes to then dolphins, the last experienced head coach the Dolphins hired was Wannstedt. Like him, hate him he was the last head coach when we won a playoff game. The thing that’s frustrated me with the Dolphins since Wannstedt are the head coaches we have hired. Seven head coaches, none of which had head coaching experience. We could very well have fired Joe Philbin and went all in for Andy Reid. We could have fired Tony Sporano following the 2010 season and went for John Fox. There were a number of head coaches we COULD have made an all in play for, but the Dolphins “went cheap” and hired unproven coordinators, an offensive line coach or a college head coach. Now McDaniel is a young head coach and like all of the other head coaches we’ve hired does have some growing pains to work through but unlike any of the others we’ve had, there is definitive measurable improvement especially on the offensive side of the ball, something that’s lacked seriously in Miami for years. If we’re going to have any shot at long term success we’re going to need some consistency at at the head coach position, especially when we’ve had the success that we’ve had.
I personally think we're in a good spot both present and future wise IF...IF we can find a way to keep Tua upright. This season looks like a wash at this point so ok...You take the high draft pick and draft the best available offensive lineman available to keep Tua upright. I think Tua has proven time and time again that when you give him time to throw, he's as accurate as it gets at the position. I'm not interested in arguing about all the other stuff. Yes he's injury prone, yes Josh Allen is his biological father, no he's not won a playoff game, yes he's choked in January. He's not perfect, but we can win with him. That's how I feel. If the last five weeks of Thompson, Huntley, and Boyle haven't proven Tuas value to us, then I don't know what will.
LOL.... We settled for Beef tenderloin on the grill tonight with homemade potato salad, Steamed Broc.... toasted ciabatta bread And as good as that was.... Sadly the Dolphins still suck.
I used to think it matters but you're spot on here. For 20 years the Patriots were at the bottom of the draft for a reason.
Free agency, the salary cap and trades have made the draft less significant than it was say 30+ years ago. Now don’t get me wrong, the draft is vital but what happens when you draft a stallion who garners a salary at the end of his rookie contract that you can’t or are unwilling to pay (Wilkins comes to mind). You’re back to filling a hole again. The draft has always been a craps shoot. Always has been, always will. Sometimes you strike gold and sometimes you strike mud. Better to be the best team you can and fill needs as they become available.
Yeah, no one cares, but ya must've missed that. You're a special kind of lonely! Yet it's hardly an artistic (or original) approach on your part at gaslighting. I'm not even sure "troll" is a strong enough noun.
Maybe we should have a thread called "what I'm cooking for dinner" so people can share and avoid clogging up threads with nonsense.
The Patriots had the best coach of the modern era of football... (Sorry Shula Fans.) Yes he cheated and was a son of a B*tch... He also was the best at in game adjustments and week to week game plans I have ever seen. (Nobody else even comes close.) Take that coach and pair him with a QB that does not suck.... and you win. Once that team started to win a little players who wanted rings went there and took less money to play on the patriots. (So they could get bling.) It is the opposite of what we have now here in Miami... Players come here because we overpay them... Our GM trades for players who want more money... So we give up our top draft picks... and then sign the players to record breaking contracts. So we ignore the draft and try to buy victories. How is that working out for us so far?
I used to get really angry and scream during the games. Years and years of that. Finally, I just came to expect the Dolphins to do something bad and lose the game. I expect them to lose every game now. When they win it is a positive experience.
I was suspecting the D was bad all year. It's just when we don't score at all in the second half of games, the other teams offense has to do nothing but no lose the game and can play safe.
Like I said didn’t expect much from the D coming in to this season and they didn’t disappoint unlike the offense imo.
Lol throw up all you want if Belichick calls and says i want to coach the dolphins for 3 years and retire immediately after.. im firing mcdaniels fast..
Belichick without Brady was an average HC, both in Cleveland and in NE. Hiring Belichick would be a huge mistake.
I’d hire him as a DC! He made the Montana 49ers look like a pop warner team and made some high powered offenses from 2000 to 2020 look pedestrian.
I do not see it that way... People say that because Brady left the Pats and won in Tampa Bay it proves it was all him... Brady won on stacked teams in TB... Go back and look at the skill players he had around him.... Unreal. It was not like Brady went to the Browns and did all of this heavy lifting.
Belichick without Brady in NE was 47-57 = 45.2% win%. With Brady he was 219-64 (in the regular season) = 77.4% win%. And in Cleveland, Belichick was 36-44 = 45% win%, same as in NE without Brady. Belichick is actually a tad below average HC without Brady. Doesn't matter if Brady won the SB in Tampa on a strong team. Point is he won a SB without Belichick while Belichick without Brady is nothing special. No question NE's success was more on Brady than Belichick.
Belichek won superbowls where brady was very average... It is like you did not even watch him the first 8 years of his career before he got Welker and Moss... Go into the way back machine... Brady Bellicheat.. first superbowl.... #2 defence in all of football. They did not win at all because of Brady Bellicheat never had a half decent QB in New England since Brady left... And the game has now passed Bellicheat by... So no he was not going to win anything there once Brady left and he was stuck with hot dog flavoured water at QB. Thanks for playing.
They had the #6 defense with the #6 offense their first SB win. The next year that they won the SB they had the #1 defense and #12 offense. The very next year they won the SB with the #4 offense and #2 defense. You can eat your crow now, clown.
What?? You have no idea what you're talking about. Brady won the SB in 2001 where he was #6 in passer rating. He won the SB in 2003 when he was #10 in passer rating. He won in 2004 where he was #9 in passer rating. He won in 2014 where he was #5 in passer rating. He won in 2016 where he was #2 in passer rating. And he won in 2018 where he was #12 in passer rating. He was never "very average" when he won SBs. He was either elite or top 10 except for one year. So that part of your claim is provably false. And if Belichick can't win without a good QB, then that just shows how dependent he is on the QB!! You're destroying your own argument. Yeah.. thanks for playing. You played to lose.
Other than the one in a million Trent Dilfer... LOL... Teams do not win Superbowls without at least a half decent QB... Dilfer was garbage. Bellicheat had nothing but garbage at QB when he was there.... I think the only QB that could even be salvageable is Mac Jones but he was not much when he played in New England. LMAO It is fun to see you reach.... Did veins pop out on your forehead as you struggled to defend Brady? LOL Thanks for the laughs. If you got this addled by the mere mention of Brady... Imagine what you would do for a Klondike Bar?
Are you on drugs or something? You lost the argument at every level and you're acting like you're winning the argument? The win% stats for Belichick + Brady vs. Belichick without Brady vs. Brady without Belichick alone proves you wrong. One doesn't need to go further than that. But then you make provably false statements about Brady being average when he won those SBs. Instead of admitting your statements are inaccurate you resort to acting like.. you're on drugs lol. Also don't forget that Belichick was the GM. He chose his QBs. He thought he could win without Brady. He was wrong. Finally, pointing out that it's relatively rare to win a SB without a great QB or at least one that plays great in that year (and it is NOT one in a million.. it's more like 1 in 7 SBs won by average-ish QBs) helps MY argument, not yours! You don't understand that? lol.
The argument was instantly lost the moment he suggested Belichick was a better head coach that Shula.
Maybe you'll get food poisoning. Which in turn will make trolling a forum on the internet a secondary priority for you.
So you want us to win games when we are out of the playoff race only to hurt our draft position? And you question me being a fan? LMAO
Shula coached years too long and ruined Marino's chance for rings. He stayed past his time... The game changed and he was no longer a good head coach. As much as I hate Bellicheat... He was a far superior coach to Shula. He took a QB that was not worthy of holding Marino's jock and won a handful of rings with him.
