The Miami Dolphins' popular throwback uniforms will make two appearances during the 2024 season, the team announced Wednesday night. The team will wear its aqua throwbacks for a Week 2 home game on a Thursday night against the Buffalo Bills on Sept. 12. Then two months later, the Dolphins will wear their retro white uniforms on Thanksgiving day (Nov. 28) when they play the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field. Miami overhauled its logo and uniforms in 2013. Just two years later, the Dolphins debuted throwbacks that honored the team's 1966 debut in the AFL. "If it was up to me, I’d definitely have that as our every week jersey, the throwback," Dolphins wide receiver Jaylen Waddle said during the 2023 season. "I like it. It brings the swag out." A full-time return to the throwback doesn't appear likely to come any time soon, though. "I love our throwbacks," Dolphins CEO Tom Garfinkel said earlier this year, via the Palm Beach Post. "I love when we wear them. I love celebrating our history. I think they’re very appropriate for celebrating our history. And it keeps them special that we wear them a couple of times a year." It'll be a couple times in 2024 and probably will continue to be a couple times per year for the foreseeable future.
I just got an orange Tua jersey for this season. I'm going to wear it to the Arizona game week 8. It's beautiful.
Don't get me wrong, I like orange as a colour, it's just not something I like for us. Secondary colours, yes but not the full monty. I always think Bucs/Broncos of the 80's and 90's.
