The new conspiracy is that so many people realized the logo thing, that the NFL had to make KC win. Also interesting- both underdogs covered the spread. Vegas made out like a bandit yesterday.
I can believe that the NFL wanted/helped KC to win- they love the Taylor Swift angle. I just had a horrifying thought - this year’s game will feature nothing but Kelce and Mahomes commercials!!!!
I read an article that said Taylor Swift brought in an estimated $334M in value for the Chiefs. I'm not sure if that's referring to merchandise sales, general exposure, fan ratings, marketing dollars/partnerships or a combination of everything combined...but the impact is there. She is a global influencer and it's brought more new fans to the NFL than just about any other medium. As much as I hate to say this, she's good for the NFL and potentially future salary caps.
I'm not sure how she can make only the Chiefs money? The NFL splits all revenue (except for concessions, parking, and local media pay) between all 32 teams equally. I don't listen to her music, and according to my wife and 4 girls she's evidently a "B" with a capital B and treats people like crap, but I won't begrudge the NFL for hyping her at games for a profit. If I owned a business and she dropped in frequently I'd advertise that, too. lol
