according to a recent bleacher report Miami dolphins are expected to pursue CJ Gardner-Johnson in free agency (@BleacherReport) Makes sense he’s missed the entire regular season with injury and rehabbing. A Chris Grier special Chris needs to be removed he’s the ONLY constant with our failures. He constantly signs injuries players. Hoping to save money and they are magically back to pro bowl status. I swear he does this in hopes they find a diamond in the rough and it makes him look like a smart GM. IM not knocking CJ as I’d take him even though not sure how we could afford him, I just hate these kinda signing all the time.
Exactly, then everyone asks themselves why the team falls apart with injuries every year, it's no big curse and its no big mistery, and no, it's not the S&C coaches fault. It's Grier's fault. It's the same reason he doesn't hit on draft picks either, he overdrafts project players or players with injury question marks thinking if they work out he'll look like genius, but most of the time they don't and we are stuck having to pull off monster trades and leveraging the future just to be one and done in the playoffs every year.
He tore his pec. That's not some sort of "sign" that he's injury prone and it's not some sort of career threatening injury. I guess the Bengals should dump Burrows, but you'd be angry if he came here? I guess LJ is "injury prone" because he missed a season with an ACL and you'd hate to sign him?
no I’m just kinda making a joke because it seems Grier loves anyone with an injury it’s like his first choice because he thinks he can get some discount. That’s not the mindset I want our GM to have
I love Burrow, big Burrow fan. Would love for him to come here, BUT I would also not be surprised if he got hurt during the season being he has been hurt every year.
I'm being told lately that Grier does not have a habit of picking up injury prone guys, it's just my imagination.
The guy had a torn pec and then killed it in the payoffs. I guess you'd be out on Burrow, also? I guess Lamar Jackson would be risky because he once tore his ACL? The Pats sure took a risk keeping Brady after he tore his ACL in week one.
Yep, listing guys with single injuries is really proving me wrong. You guys are right! This franchise is PERFECT! No one does ANYTHING wrong. How did I not see it sooner??
Just a lottery ticket bandaid that can't solve Grier's very real problems drafting. Can't build a team this way.
lol… such completely objectively wrong posts in this thread. It’s almost like people don’t realize how to use the internet and that you can actually see how well players have played. In reality, other than the 2017 draft, Grier has been about average to good in his years as GM. Most people living in reality, and without a bias against the Dolphins, consider Grier to be about average. He’s no Newsome or Lynch(who is?) but the Dolphins could do a lot worse.
We're asking you to prove your point with data and facts not just something someone else who you regularly agree with posts here and you just start spouting of their mantra like its true.
Facts are we are among the most injured teams every year and you have all the homers here using that as an excuse every year, saying we are cursed or just unlucky or the s&c coaches suck, but never pointing a single finger at the FO. An injury prone player is a player who has had multiple injuries including serious injuries before we signed them, the fact they didn't reinjure the exact same body part does not negate the point. We have a group of homers here who basically act as PR reps for Grier and the front office. They act like the FO does no wrong and everything is fine. It's not, going 23 years without a playoff win should not be acceptable to anyone. We had all these same arguments during the Gase and Tannehill era as well and all the homers were proven wrong. Until the Dolphins get their **** together and become real super bowl contenders none of us should be covering up their **** decisions and **** performance.
I stopped reading after the first sentence because it's just too stupid of a statement to keep reading the rest of what I'm sure is just as dumb. "wE'Ve bEeN aMonG ThE mOSt iNJuReD bUT tHaT'S jUsT aN eXCuSE!" If injuries don't matter then why prosecute Grier over injured players. It doesn't matter, right? Complete and utter ignorance. LMAO
Heaven forbid you actually read a post that you don't agree with. Instead you strawman him. His point was this: Youb guys are arguing that Grier doesn't pick injury prone players, while SIMULTANEOUSLY claiming that every year we aren't successful due to unforseen injuries. Lol. It's comical
All he's ever done is spew negative bile on this forum. I've almost gotten to the point of conspiracy theorists with this. I mean what if he's the same poster with multiple accounts on here? I mean how comical would that be? A person so miserably invested in making others miserable that they create multiple accounts that all agree with each other in their shared world of misery. It would take a sad individual to do such a thing, but I'm sure they exist. Not saying that's what he's doing, but the thought has crossed my mind. It's been nothing but straight-up insults and negativity out of that poster as far back as I can remember. Put him on ignore dude. It'll at least help with visiting here. I've tried reporting some of the nastiness that he posts, but it does no good. He along with a few others on this forum makes the entire experience a bad one at this point. We do have a few rays of sunshine on here and I damn sure try not to be one of the bad ones myself. I love the Dolphins, and I love sports forums, but one thing I've learned over 20 years of posting on them is that you do get miserable people on them who do nothing but throw insults and complain. One thing about this forum in particular that is depressing is that I never knew (until coming here) that there were fans of teams that hated the players and the team itself that they are supposedly following and invested in. I mean why be invested in such a thing if all it causes you is torment and wretched feelings? I mean yeah...It's tough being a fan of this franchise, but it doesn't affect my life to the point where all I have are awful thoughts and affliction towards any opinion of positivity just because it differs from mine.
Well they’re right, that one has to have injury luck, with injury prone players you just have to get luckier. Thing is, we have to take chances on those kind of players in the near future anyway, cause of the way the cap looks atm. Grier is definitely a gambler and if it works he looks like a genius. Grier has been good in his trades but you can’t really build a constant contender with this system at least not in the NFL. In the draft he‘s been mediocre and good in the 2nd round, think he definitely could‘ve done better, not a good sign when undrafted rookies beat the ones you drafted on the regular.
Awhile back there was a poster here that would bash the Dolphins all day everyday, but claimed to be a Dolphins fan. He and I got into it often. One day it was found that he was copying and posting MY posts from here and then using them on other non Dolphins forums in order to argue that the Dolphins were good. I can’t remember his name, but he had a Tannehill with a grill as his avatar. It was nuts.
I can't say he's been even mediocre in the draft, when you consider how's many picks he's wasted in trades or on players who straight up busted
"Cashvillesent" was his name...I just did some digging. He'd argue with me here, then copy my posts to other forums in order to argue with someone else who would post the same stuff that he'd post here. I honestly think he just liked to argue so he'd take the opposite side of an argument no matter what and then use other people's words to make an argument. Nuts...lmao
Understandable! I think we had worse GMs and he’s the best in quite some time. I just have my doubts that he’s good enough and the same goes for the whole team although Grier would be my #1 on that list.
