Yeah, we're still 3 - 4 months away but news should start rolling in soon. Still the best show on TV!
I can't wait, the best show on TV by far. I was slightly disappointed in the whole moving island deal, but it's still a fantastic series.
I won't lie I've been a bit disappointed in the direction of the series ever since Season 2 but I still think it's one of the better shows on TV. Should be interesting to see how they start to tie up all of the loose ends as the series is coming to an end.
I love lost don't get me wrong but right now I enjoy Heroes, and Supernatural more. Though I still can't wait for this season coming!
Supernatural is probably my favorite. Lost is "better" but SN is more fun, and interesting to boot. Did we have a thread about that show? The opener was kick ***.
Be careful about proclaiming this as the best show on TV. You might get people in here hijacking your thread to debate about your opinion on TV shows. I do love this show though!!!!!!!!! 3-4 months? Oh Em Gee!!
Mon=Friday at 9 you can watch lost 2.0 on G4. Mondays on sci-fi 7-11 yu can catch lost. If you've never seen early seasons here is your chance. Over at DARK UFO they have Emerson giving an interview. Ben is going to be great as usual. Plus we'll get some missing pieces of Ben's past (Annie???). Maybe even why he and Widmore are at odds. PLUS the "answers" are going to get more scientific. Based on comicon it seems maybe a time loop is possible? Eh, only a few more months. House, Supernatural, Survivor and the Office will hold me over. Heroes sucks. It was a gimmicky show. Season 1 had promise and season 2 showed they had no idea wtf was going on. My expectations for S3 ae in the toilet. Supernatural is the best show on TV IMO. I started a supernatural thread over at FH and no one ever posted but me. This new angels and demons storyline seems great. Kripke (EP) has said the show is going in a stronger direction. Maybe Evil Super Sam vs. Good Super Dean (Sam with powers and Dean chosen by God). Although New Ruby sucks. Hopefully it's a new girl every week. I miss Katie Cassidy already.
We will come to learn that one of the following is true in Lost's fifth season premiere. A. The Island moved forward in time. B. The Island moved backward in time. C. The Island did not move in time, but it did move in space -- to another location on the planet. D. The Island did not move in time or space -- it's still there, but Dharma tech renders it invisible to the naked eye.
I may be making this too simple but its gotta be C. If it moved forward or backward in time it would still be in the same place. The whole polar bear collar in the middle of the desert has to be connected somehow.
The polar bears are the ones used to push the donkey wheel. I thought the PB bones indicated that the wheel was turned once before. The effect of the wheel being unknown? Only a few more months.
E. We don't learn anything. They just give us more questions to ask. side note though: i've been rewatching the first season on G4.. charlies tattoo, the one that reads : "lifes easier with eyes closed"- i know its from a beatles song, but is it also an anagram for something? i know the producers love their anagrams.. i've been working on it for a while tonight. all i can come up with is "the island wisely gives.." but i'm also left with "coseey" so thats obviously not it. i looked on google to see if it was anything but didn't find anything. anybody have any ideas?
I'm lost!" actor Doug Hutchison revealed with a laugh in an interview with SCIFI WIRE, referring to the return of his character, Horace Goodspeed, to ABC's SF series Lost in the upcoming fifth season for at least a four-episode arc. Goodspeed was introduced, and died, within one episode. "So imagine my surprise when this past season, I get a call from my agents [saying], 'They want you again on Lost,'" Hutchison said. "I said, 'Well, wait a minute. Are these more flashbacks?' They said, 'No. It's current.' I said, 'I'm dead!' And they said, 'Yeah, well it's Lost.'" http://www.scifi.com/scifiwire/index.php?category=3&id=60612&type=0
According to IGN.com there is a new teaser for Season 5 on Youtube. Someone hook us up, YouTube is blocked for me at work.

My character starts explaining to Locke the mysteries of the island," says Nestor [Carbonell], who denies his character is actually the all-powerful Jacob. "There's a phenomenal twist." Mysteries from Charlotte 's past will shed further light on the island's history. "It appears I've come back to the island to look for my birthplace," says Rebecca [Mader]. Last season, viewers saw her in a Tunisian desert studying the remains of a polar bear. [Carlton] Cuse says viewers will soon learn why she's trying to find the island's bears - and confirms the Tunisian skeleton belonged to one of them. "We've seen several bear cages," [Damon] Lindelof says. "But none of the polar bears are accounted for." Remember Desmond's all-knowing and slightly creepy friend from two seasons ago? The one played by the sublime Fionnula Flannigan? Well, according to my Lost moles, she is coming back this season, and we will learn that she has a very surprising connection. To another character. A major character. And the connection? It's a big one. That's all I'm saying
I do love Lost, and tho I dont watch much tv, this is one of the few shows ive gotten into. Ive had my issues with it from the start, as many people have, and theres aspects that I love about it and aspects that I dislike. BUT, how the f are they going to in any way explain to me how the island 'moved', with a pirate ship wheel. I can deal with the smoke monsters, and Jacob to some degree, and even Desmond being some sort of superhero (apparently). I love the 'supernatural' aspect of the island...but...c'mon.
Just speculation here, but if the island were moved somewhere else in time, not space, then a pirate wheel could be possible. Of course, that's assuming time travel is possible, but we already know that it has happened on Lost so....
So they're going to have to go back or forward in time to find the island now? I didnt really like this whole island moving thing.
But it may not have moved at all, its just in a different time, thus appearing gone in the present. Just a guess, completley my theory. But the island may have jumped forward in time. Maybe 108 months or something and they have to wait it out to go back. Just a guess...
mmmm i get it. this is a statement on global warming. they moved ahead in time 10 years, and the melting ice caps have raised sea level to above the ocean. if you look closely after it disappears, you can still see the tip of the radio tower sticking out of the water... ... ah just kidding. you really can't. really though, they've pulled off some crazy explanations on some things so far in lost, so i'll hold off on judgment of the island move until we get an answer about it (which most likely we'll never get.. <sigh>)
Not a bad theory, it would make some sense (as far as Lost goes). Id also like them to explain to try and explain to me how Sawyer wont get Juliette pregnant like 4 times in that 108 month span.
It's back Jan.21 for 3 hours Hour 1 is recap, followed by 2 new show back to back It's also back to Wednesday nights ABC Sets 'Lost' Premiere Date - 11/7/2008 4:00:00 PM - Broadcasting & Cable
I'm rewatching seasons on g4. Season 2 is currently running. I really miss Mr Eko as a character. I thinkI read his parents died during season 2. I also heard he may return in season 5. It's just a rumor, but wouldn't shock me if true.
Did anyone else get their test results & certificate of completion/job placement back from The Dharma Initiative site today? I was given the position of Radio Operator in the Communications Division. EDIT: something's telling me that I'm the only geek on the forum that did this...
