Pending health and timing, seven or eight home wins is very doable. If the rumors of the Brazil game are true, then the Rams, Seahawks or Packers are going to be the opponent, and that's a good thing as it either eliminates a long West Coast trip or erases the chance of a cold weather game. I like having up to three road games indoors as well. Overall, there's no reason that the schedule should stand in the way of being a 12+ win team next season. As painful as last night's loss was, it wiped the Chiefs, Ravens and Lions from what it would have been, and replaced them with the Raiders, Browns and Packers. Trying to look at the bright side, that could be trading this year's division title for next years, with us facing three easier teams and the Bills facing three harder ones. And actually, the Patriots have to face the Chargers and Bengals, which are probably going to be better than the ones we see too.
Tbh I don't care who we play as much as when. I want 3 playoff level teams in our first 6 games. I want the Bills game 1. Show us what we are. Show us we learned ... Or didn't.
Just remember before the season started based on the previous season we were projected to have the 2nd hardest schedule. So it's rally hard to project who's going to be good next year. https://www.newsweek.com/nfl-strength-schedule-hardest-slate-games-2023-1821744
I thought the same thing. This looks like a very tough schedule. 10 games vs. winning teams plus the Jets get Rodgers back for another two.
I mean, im not one of these the league hates us guys. Then i remember the time we just didnt get a bye week. That was fun
These are all middle of the pack or lower teams, only elite teams on the schedule are SF and Buffalo.
Until they aren't. Browns, Rams, Packers and Texans are playoff teams. How are they middle of the pack?
There are only like 4 or 5 elite teams in the league. We have 3 games against elite teams. It’s a perfectly average schedule…. If not above average in difficulty. Unless you are randomly crowning Dallas or Detroit or someone like that ?
Part of things are when you play teams as well. For instance, we got Denver before they went on a bit of a roll. On the flip side, we caught Philly before they collapsed. You also never know what happens. As good as the Rams are playing now, what happens if Stafford, Donald, Cupp and McVay all retire or get moved or whatever. There have been some hints this may be their last hurrah. Texans are, frankly, due to regress. I'd also expect Indy to potentially regress as well. Rumors the Titans might lose Vrabel (to New England, ugh). On the other hand, Cleveland will get back Chubb and Watson may round back into form. Jests will have Rogers, Green Bay might get a coordinator who actually knows defense. Just ... so many variables. I think the only things I want out this schedule are not to get crushed by weird west coast travel (either far apart or back to back please) and to please schedule some tough games early, especially Buffalo.
yeah, but that is terrible, LOL of course IF the Dolphins did that 5 times in a row they would be elite.
It's too early to predict, but based off of the history of these teams, who is potentially playing quarterback for them, their current roster, etc this really doesn't look all that bad to me. Like I said, it's too early to tell, and health/injuries will be a big time determining factor, but I feel pretty good about the schedule. None of these teams aside from Buffalo have that elite top notch Quarterback on their roster. I bring this up because the best of the best at that position ALWAYS shred us. I'm not forgetting Aaron Rodgers and we'll see how he looks at age 40 coming off of an achilles tear, but even if he is healthy, this isn't Aaron Rodgers from 6 years ago. Going back to our schedule and just taking an early look at it. It does look like we're going to be in some tight games next season. On paper basing it on this current season, none of these games are going to be a walk in the park for us. Cleveland, the Rams, Houston, Both Jet games, The Bills, Packers, Seahawks, Colts. The ENTIRE schedule looks like a potential dog fight for us all year long. I love that! The tighter the games, the better we'll be. We were able to feast on the crap teams of the league this year and that wont be the case next season. Each week is going to potentially be 4th quarter decided games for us. I'm not going to predict a W/L right now, but next season looks like it's going to be a lot of fun. Any questions we have about our quarterback or football team for that matter will be fully answered by the end of the season.
I guess there are different levels of elite to some people. For example, I think going to the SB 4x in 5 years makes KC elite. If you want to put the Jills and KC in the same category that's your prerogative, but I won't.
Nice strawman...actually, sh!tty strawman. What's next, teams that win their division 3-5-7 times in a row are "dynasties"? lmao Hey, the Bucs have won their division 4 times in a row, once with a losing record and once with a 9-8 record. ELITE! lmao
No sure what your seeing on that schedule that looks easy. This looks like a 9-10 season if you're asking me right now. Maybe worse if we dont sign / get free agents that can step right in and fill the holes and get a good DC. I suspect we won't be as good as our record was this year, and SF / Green Bay / Houston / Jaguars all look like L's to be and the normal splits with AFC.
And are watching the Super Bowl at home like the rest of us. Hell Taylor Swift is getting to the Super Bowl before the Bills
I'd say the Bills are elite, the Chiefs are a dynasty, unmatched at this time. The Chiefs right now are the Patriots under Brady, just a step ahead of everyone else. That doesn't preclude there from being other elite teams. Buffalo is one, San Fran is another. I don't think we need to get too semantic over the terms here, the point is that the AFC East runs through Buffalo until and unless we prove otherwise. That's because you're both being a pessimist and letting the recency bias of the last few games of an injury plagued team make your determination. And you might be right! The chance is certainly there for regression, it's not an easy schedule by any means. I wouldn't say it's incredibly tough either though. There are some tough games, but I'm not sure why you are scared of the Jags who had just as bad, maybe a worse collapse than we did. Houston looks good, but with a full season of tape on Stroud and that offense will they regress? Can the Niners afford to keep that team intact? Green Bay is facing a similar defensive quandary as us - tons of talent, often underperforming, parting ways with a DC and looking for a new one. Personally, I think we need to see what the offseason looks like before we really start to make predictions here. If we lose a bunch of our free agents and aren't able to replace them or make upgrades, and our draft looks lackluster ... ok, we can start to get really concerned. But if we work the cap, get the right guys back, make some shrewd moves and address some good areas with our draft, maybe maneuver a bit and pick up some extras, sign a good looking coordinator ... well that makes the season pretty dang interesting.
You are right and its way to early, Im just basing this off our needs for talent / Free agency / and Coaches. I just dont feel this team is ever going to gt over that hump with Grier and the current leadership of the team. Ive lost faith in them doing anything to build a real championship team. Were always looking for lightning in a bottle and seem to have no real scheme plans to build on.
It's beyond way too early to be making those kind of predictions. You're basing this off of how the season ended for us along with the losses of Phillips and Chubb. It's still early dude.
First, before we get into this, the Bills have won the AFCE 4 x in a row, not 5 like Finatik initially wrote. I don't think it's semantics at all. You're comparing the 49ers to the Bills, which IMO, is kinda crazy. The Bills have made it to one AFCCG in the past 5 seasons even though they've been a constant AFC SB favorite nearly that entire time. The 49ers are going to their second Super Bowl and just finished their 4th NFCCG over that same period. The Bills aren't the 49ers. Saying the Bills are elite because they have won the AFCE 4 times in a row is basically bragging about being the tallest midget in the room because up until last season the rest of the division was just trash. lol I agree with the rest of your post.
I actually see 10 or 11 wins, depending on when some of these away games are. I’m still standing by my assertion one of the reasons the Dolphins played poorly the 2nd half of the season was due to Hard Knocks. Too much of a distraction because the Dolphins play seriously diminished right after the KC game in Germany and the start of HK.
Just based on our record this year against teams with winning records, that schedule would also reflect a losing season next year. Obviously, things will change
Bills beat the 49ers last time they played, but it was back in 2020. The NFC is considered much weaker then the AFC.
"Then" the AFC what? You didn't finish your sentence. lol Dolphins beat the Bills last season. The Pats and Jets beat the Bills this season. lmao
Oh well, sh!t, if we're now predicting wins this way then the Dolphins beat 7 winning teams in 2023 because they beat 5 teams this year that had winning records last year and they beat the Ravens and Bills last year...lmao Or, why not use the who-beat-who-beat-who method? Pats beat the Bills and we beat the Pats so we must be better than the Bills. Miami beat Denver and Denver beat KC so Miami is better than KC. And on and on and on into infinity. Absurdity at its finest
