As I've been saying forever, Tua is good, but he is not great. He's not great and he is not elite. It's all a mirage propping him up with a great system and great supporting cast along with the NFL's easiest schedule up until December. We are pretenders, Grier tried to salvage Tua and his ****ty pick, but we are just a paper tiger, and our cap situation and upcoming contracts does not paint a good future. We were in win now Mode and we can't even win thr freaking division or a playoff game..
That's an overreaction. Have to see if they can learn from this. If they can't, then I agree. But you have to give people time to learn and improve. This is McD's 2nd year only. At least give him 2 more years to see if he get this team to be clutch.
Yeah I'm numb to this **** at this point. I didn't even watch tonight. There's no point in arguing about this anymore. We suck, that's all.
Everyone needs to keep in mind to be civil. Lots of emotions being thrown around. It’s not my thing to put people in time out but some of the reported items are unacceptable.
Yeah they're not that good this year. But as I pointed out earlier.. they're forecasting temps in single digits. That is BAD NEWS for the passing game and favors defense and the running game. Our running game is only good if the passing game is a threat. Either way, no excuses. Go Dolphins!
I just love an article about his big game experience that omits completely winning a national title off the bench? Like come on. Try and be real
I just bet my fanduel wad on the Chiefs. Obviously I hope I lose, but seems like free money the way this team is looking down the stretch.
that what you judge your franchise Super Bowl record on? I don’t give a damn anymore about individual accolades.
Wow, that's conduct fit for a staff member? Ok... In case you haven't noticed membership isn't really bursting at the seams around here lately. May want to relax a bit there. Think we need everyone we can get at this point.
tbh that character building should have happened after the gashing we received in Baltimore. The play calling today by McD is what really upsets me. ST giving up a TD happens. But for McD to just go conservative in the 2nd half?? Not good. And Tua didn't show the kind of fire or urgency you expect from a clutch QB. I really hope the KC game is more respectable.
I was yelling at the TV, why are we forcing every throw to Tyreek.. it was just one awful forced throw after another.. surely with all the attention he draws, someone else can get open.. three total plays for Achane in the second half.. Nothing remotely creative about our play calling.. no one could get opened.. Tyreek had some touch his hands and he dropped them. We couldnt run an explosive player like achane on a wheel route, or in the slot, a screen pass, anything to get him going? the Chiefs defense has had just one bad game this whole season against the packers.. good luck
Tua showed nothing tonight. No skill, fire, intensity, urgency and he often moped around. I hated everything about Tua tonight.
Yep. When someone is just here to screw with people and they say they’re leaving - don’t let the door hit you on the way out. You want to talk Dolphins. Cool. You just want to throw darts just to screw with people that isn’t cool. Especially when people are really disappointed. Kicking them for fun isn’t acceptable. But you know that.
He’s been here for 11 years and has 4200 posts, hardly seems like a troll. Maybe he’s just tired of the Dolphins being pretenders.
Yea it was conservative the whole second half.. there was a lot in the first half i didnt like either.. that first quarter was dreadful.. i mean even new england would have moved the ball better than we did today…
KC is probably better than Buffalo but nothing beats home. I turn 52 this year....I'm not sure that I'll ever see the Dolphins win a Superbowl in my lifetime.
He's here talking Dolphins on every game day and I'm sure during the week too. People are frustrated with yet another no show form this team. That's to be expected. We don't expect the staff/moderators however to encourage people out the door over an emotional and frustrated reaction to a game. IF that's the case none of us would be left. Just my 2 cents as someone here since day 1 basically
Well that was the season IMO. I wouldn't write us off against KC entirely, but also I would be moderately surprised at a win. Adverse weather conditions against a good defensive team at their place, with their experience, their HC and QB? I don't see it. And good luck going on the road 3 times if we win a few lol. That we scored 14 points off of 4 TO's is absurd and we deserved to lose and we deserve to be embarassed and a laughingstock. It wasn't good enough from anyone on the offensive side and it especially wasn't good enough from our head coach and QB. This is where the "young genius" side of things meets the "inexperienced" side of things and McDaniel has come up short and been flat out outcoached in every big game this season save Dallas. Every. Other. One. Bad playcalls (remember, he did NOT call plays in San Fran), bad gameplans, abandoning things that work, forcing things that don't work, panic, unable to overcome adversity ... all the hallmark of a coach that lacks experience. He's not gonna get fired (and shouldn't be), and Tua is gonna get paid (but he may have cost himself some $$ these last few games), but both need to come up bigger next year or there will be some hot seats. And for all the ish Grier gets, he had some good drafts in hindsight. But pulling absolutely nothing from the last two? I know we were down some picks, but good God man, we at least need good depth guys. Elsewhere, fire the strength and conditioning team, the medical staff ... anyone involved in anything regarding injury prevention and treatment because jfc what a disaster this season has been. What a tremendously frustrating end to the season. I'll be pleasantly surprised if we can salvage a win against KC, but I am effectively done and in offseason mode starting now.
I almost turned it off after that stupid screen pass on the Bills first drive went for like 30 yards and the defense was looking trash. I kept it on until the punt return. That was my breaking point. Just stupid stuff. Fourteen points despite getting 4 turnovers. For an offense that was supposed to be elite. The few games the defense actually steps up and the offense just bleeps the bed.
Right and how many playoff wins have we had in that time and yet when we beat Dallas half the Forum acted like we won the Super Bowl. I don't get it i don't mind hearing others opinions its not like he was a know it all attacking individuals like i see here that get away with more than often
All the posters on here emptying their bank accounts to bet against the Dolphins must have moved the line up already..
In general, IMO there is a difference between the "Ugh, not again, eff this" type of fan and the "I told you so neener neener neener" type. We have more than a few of the latter, the guys who just seem to root for failure so they can be right. That's just annoying at this point, like, we don't care. If you don't want to root for the team, don't. If you are just frustrated, that's cool. Vent.
If there is a silver lining to Tua's non-clutch performance it's that he can't command the same salary as he would have. Might as well see whatever positive there is in this lol.
The reality on Tua and McDaniel is this: best we have had at either spot in the 24 years i can remember dolphins football clearly. Both still have room to grow, obviously, and have shown that growth this year. they need to take more steps. And we need to give them the runway to do so. You dont give away a guy leading the nfl in passing and a rookie HC piloting the leagues best offense. everyone who wants either one gone is holding the sins of everyone whose been here before against them. tua earned his contract this season. You can say whatever you want. 2 dolphins, ever, have led the league in passing. He will get paid. We will pay him.
