Y'all know me. You know I'm not a pie-in-the-sky kind of fan. Last night's game doesn't worry me. The Niners played well on defense and pretty good on offense, would have dominated that game...except Brock Purdy basically handed the ball to the Ravens over and over. How often is that going to happen? Okay, if the Dolphins have four interceptions, the Ravens are going to win. Yeah, no s**t. If Tua takes care of the ball, I don't expect the outcome of our game to resemble this one at all.
I dunno man, I’m rooting for a win but after watching that game the ravens in the road whooped their ***. That defense and Jackson looked so good. They are a complete football team and the best in the NFL right now. Lamar can run and pass and our defense needs to play the best it has this year to have a chance. our offense has looked pretty bad the last few weeks and the ravens defense will probably shut us down. Their fans will be in full force as with a win they get the #1 seed. They have a lot to play for. I have this as an L but I also have New England beating the bills so that last week won’t matter except for us to beat the bills and remove them from the playoff scenario which would be heavenly!
Wow Rick... This might the most confident I've ever seen you! You're making me feel like I'm too negative lol!!! I really hope McDaniel can come up with the right scheme to pull this one out. Fingers crossed.
Sitting here watching the replay of the Dolphins game against Baltimore last season…I have a feeling with our improved defense, we’re going to be a lot better and not have to rely on a miraculous 4th quarter comeback.
Dolphins have the 3rd best odds to win the SB right now. When's the last time that happened? SF, Ravens, Dolphins in that order. If we beat the Ravens we might see the Dolphins be the frontrunners for that elusive prize. Need that #1 seed!
I'm not saying this is a definite w for us, I'm just saying my opinion hasn't been swayed by the results of the Niners game. It was in my opinion a fluke.
Don't worry. I won't rub it in if you're wrong. This one just has me very nervous. Maybe going on the road will be a good thing. Take out all the distractions of being home like Rocky going to Russia.
Same goes for the Ravens, they’re improved from last year and healthier. With all the injuries we’ve got right now, I don’t see us winning in Baltimore. Tua passed another hard test against the Cowgirls, as did our whole team, it won’t get any easier from here on out! Really psyched to see how we fare the rest of the way.
A lot of mid teams have taken the Ravens down to the wire. We can give them a good fight and possibly beat them, but the momentum is probably on their side at the moment. My concern is we've clinched a playoff spot and guys might take it easy because of that. I hope not because we need this game in order to clinch our division and get a home game. Buffalo is coming and they damn sure aren't going to lose to the Patriots. San Fran simply forgot to show up last night. It's also a fact that Brock Purdy isn't as great as people have made him out to be. He's good, damn good actually and certainly worthy of being a starter in this league. He's just not MVP level good. I think Tua is far more talented than Purdy and as long as we keep him upright, we'll have a chance in this game.
Momentum didn't mean anything when we lost to the Titans or when the Niners lost to the Ravens. Both the Fins and the Niners had a buttload of momentum going into those games.
They destroyed the 49ers. I did not break the film down, but it looked like they played defense against the 49ers the way many teams that have affected us have, dropping linebackers. Thankfully we have seen that 3 or 4 times now and should adjust. Thinking that is why the TE was used more against the Cowboys in the middle. I think Bills can lose to the Patriots.
Hopefully the Bills share the same result as Miami. The dream outcome is Miami wins and Buffalo clinches and has less or maybe nothing to play for in week 18.
the 49ers got yards against them. The problem was 3 terrible Purdy decisions for those first three interceptions. Then coming out of the half, special teams had a breakdown and a punter got them an extra 15 yards by hitting someone out of bounds. i am not saying to take away from what the Ravens did. They deserved to win the game, however, watching that game I think if those two teams played 10 games in a row, they are going to split the games.
Since San Fran lost, it simplifies things: Miami wins 0, takes wildcard Miami wins 1, takes division Miami wins 2, takes #1 seed
Speaking of teams that WERE in the playoff hunt until last weekend...the Broncos are benching Russell Wilson and will probably cut him in March.
Ok T4L. "This team, after winning their final two regular seasons games, have ultimately clinched the #1 seed in the AFC and a first round bye"
There's only two possible answers at this point, and we'll get a major hint in about three days time.
I know. But T4L chose a Jeopardy category so I gave him an answer that he was supposed to respond to with a question.
They would have to do some David Copperfield type stuff to make the money work though, wouldn’t they?
AFC Championship Game: Miami Dolphins vs The Joe Flacco led Cleveland Browns. ????????????????????????????
He's going to have to take a "prove-it-year" discount at this point. No one is giving him the sort of money Denver did or anything close to it.
Sure their defense is special but its hard to believe any other realistic outcome is better than the Browns in a potential AFC title game
We‘ll see, no more easy games anyway from here on out… Edit: Maybe the Buffalo game under certain circumstances…
The Browns have kinda been amazing. Flacco was terrible last year, but apparently looking All Pro now.
Jets offensive line is complete garbage. Unless you are doing something like the Dolphins where they throw in under 2.5 seconds, no quarterback is going to survive. Rogers blowing out his Achilles saved him from a terrible season with a heap of pain.
