The Dolphins are signing edge rusher Melvin Ingram after his workout on Tuesday, according to multiple reports. Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald reports that Ingram is signing with the team's practice squad.

Ingram had interest from the Browns this offseason, but he had remained a free agent since playing for the Dolphins last season. He totaled 22 tackles, six sacks, 10 quarterback hits, a forced fumble and two fumble recoveries while appearing in every regular-season game for Miami last season. He had two tackles in the playoff loss to the Bills. Ingram, 34, has played 145 games in 11 seasons with four different teams.

Was kind of expecting to see OL signing(s) this week after last Sunday plus the injury to Williams.

Liked him last year at the beginning, then he fizzled out. If he has something left in the tank, he could be a good signing. Wonder if that’s a sign that they’re not happy with JPP…

Strange signing when the OL is so thin. Are they expecting Armstead and Hunt back this week?

I thought if they were going defence they would have wanted someone behind Wilkins and Sieler, they were running on fumes in the 4th quarter as they are being asked to play a ridiculous amount of snaps.
