The New York Jets kept their slim playoff hopes alive and Aaron Rodgers still has a chance to play again this season. The NFL legend has been out of action since his debut in September after tearing his Achilles, and his recovery appears to be on track. The fact there is a possibility he can return from such a serious injury so early is remarkable, and that may be as early as this coming weekend against the Miami Dolphins. That would give them a huge emotional boost. And when he can't move that well and gets crushed and knocked out for next year too, well then that will be a different emotional boost.
He's not coming back from that this year. I root for the guy, he's one of my all time favorites in the game, but there's no way he comes back this year. This will be the Zach Wilson show the rest of the season.
Yes, Wilson is auditioning for a new team next year so the Jets can trade him to someone desperate. They would be smart to show him off the rest of the way.
Interesting timing considering Wilson just threw for 300 yards in an awful weather game. We all know Wilson is trash… but given the circumstances it might have been his best career performance.
Got it out of his system. DeMeco Ryans was a terrific player, and I'm rooting for him as a coach, but the Texans D isn't nearly as good as ours and is coordinated by flop Matt Burke.
