And we lost last season too...in Buffalo. And won in Miami. What's your freaking point?

Damn, that's it. Should they even play the rest of the season?

By that logic, the Jets and Pats are going to beat Buffalo again and it won't even be a problem, right?

    Preconceptions ??? Really??
Majority of your posts consist of " I don't see us winning" , " I bet we lose this game", "I have us losing to X , Y and Z" , " Oh, we're definitely losing that one", "no way we win on the road against them" , " that's a definite loss" , etc....
Now, with God as your witness , you're guaranteeing a division deciding game week 18 if the Bills won today.
Being pessimistic to lessen the agony of defeat is a sad way of life and you do it CONSTANTLY.
Does it make you feel better by posting the negativity so you can say you're not upset by the Dolphins losing because you expected it. ?
    Weak fandom .
A lot of us are well aware of their late season collapse history so no need to predict it like you're the only one that witnessed it.

Yes, really. You go on to prove it in your next paragraph.

See. There you go. Your preconceptions. You say this on the SAME PAGE where I told Destroyer that we have a good chance to beat Buffalo in Miami. The same f***ing page. How can you expect anyone to take you seriously when you don't even bother to read the posts of the person you're attacking?

Pretty much. I didn't say we'd LOSE that game, but I'd rather it already be decided. And the people who were rooting for the Bills are gonna be tearing their hair out watching that game if it turns out to be division deciding.

Your opinion of my way of life is less than meaningless to me.

C'mon man. Your MO is ultra transparent.

And, I read every post so your prediction on that is wrong, sorry about that.

Except I don't have an MO. And if I did, you wouldn't be the one clever enough to deduce it.

I don't believe you. You've already lied in this thread.

What ? What unrealistic expectations are you referring to ? Where did I ever say " we got this, no matter who we play or where " ???

    Care to explain ?

You don't have an MO ? Really?
If we took a forum poll to vote for the biggest negative Nancy here, you would win hands down.
Listen, if you rather predict defeat to lessen the blow and be that much happier when the Dolphins win, have at it, but the negativeness is tiresome when you need to jam it down our throats continuously.

That's just silly. I never pretended to be Mr. Optimistic around here. But I don't predict losses based on previous years either.
This team seems different, I'm sure we can all agree on that but if things don't pan out will anyone be shocked beyond belief? I doubt it.
I don't get the point of saying it's inevitable though.

I wasn't thrilled to see the Bills win today, but the Chefs and Jags are no longer a serious threat for the first or second playoff seeds. Miami just needs to stay focused and they should get to 13-14 wins on the season.

And again, you prove you don't pay attention even though you claim you do. This is the same thread where Destroyer has said we don't have a chance against the Bills because they beat us in early October in Buffalo. Yet I am somehow more negative than that. Do you understand now why I can't take anything you say seriously?

Nope. You didn't say "most negative Dolphin fan here," you said "biggest negative Nancy here." Words have meaning. And even then, you would have been wrong, but that's not a huge surprise.

Obviously, winning tomorrow and next week against the Jets is mandatory. Do that, and they would almost have to lose all three of the last games not to earn at least the 3 seed. For me, that's really comforting.

Take care of business and accomplish that, and then we're playing for seeding the last three weeks, and how much wiggle room we have depends mostly on what the Ravens do the next two weeks @ JAX and @ SF.

Exactly. I made a post about that a couple weeks ago, that the key to this season was winning against the Commanders, the Titans and the Jets. We do that, we definitely make the playoffs and probably win the division.

You know, whether or not this Dolphins team is different or not, there's one NFL team that is JUST like the old Dolphins teams, where we'd be working on a good record, leading the division and BOOM, we'd lose to a team like the Texans when they were bad and either we'd lose out on the division or lose out on the bye or, sometimes, not make the playoffs at all.
    And that team is Detroit.
I haven't believed in Detroit from the beginning and I have even less reason to now.

NFC playoff seeds are so wacky this year. #1 and #2 seeds are 10-3, #3 seed is (Detroit) 9-4, #4 seed is 6-7!!!, and #5 seed is 10-3 LOL. The NFC South's best record is 6-7. Of course it has happened in the past that the best team in a division has a losing record. What still hasn't happened as far as I can tell is that the worst team in a division has a winning record. AFC North just might be the first one to ever accomplish that. 4 games to go.

I think the Steelers wind up with a losing record.

It depends on seeding for me. If the Dolphins get the #1 seed I don't mind Buffalo sneaking in as the #7 and having to go on the road to Baltimore or KC and letting those teams beat themselves up.

If the Dolphins end up the #2 seed I'd rather Buffalo miss the playoffs, simply because we would have played them the week before but then again, are they good enough to win in Miami two weeks in a row?

Anyone watch the Ravens game? Do they look like a scary team to you? The only thing scary about that team is when Lamar is scrambling.

They should have lost that game to the Rams who had multiple opportunities to win and kept blowing them. That was a west coast, warm weather, .500 team coming east for a 1pm game which traditionally is very, very bad for the west coast team yet they should have won the game.

This year is wide open in the AFC and to my eyes the Dolphins look like the best team in it. They may not have beat a "good" team but they haven't struggled to beat any poor/mediocre teams, they have been blowing them out or winning comfortably. They haven't had to go life or death or lose to a poor team yet.

Miami is 5-0 at home. Similarly to last season, Miami is playing better football at home than on the road. Miami is 4-3 on the road this season and the 3 road losses we've had have been against a division rival in their stadium, the defending NFC Champions in their stadium and a VERY close loss to the defending Super Bowl champions overseas.

Is it possible we loss to the Ravens on the road? Sure it is. They're a good team and we'll be playing them in their stadium...but we did come back from HOW MANY down and defeated them?

Is it possible we lose to the Cowboys at home? Sure it is. They decimated the Eagles last night but like the Dolphins 2 years ago, the Cowboys dominate at home and struggle on the road badly.

Is it possible we lose to the Bills? Sure it is. They are a better team than their record reflects but Josh Allen can't help himself i taking unwarranted risks and if he tries that against the best corner tandem in the NFL, it's going to be an ugly day for them.

Some of you guys are unfortunately stuck in the past. The Dolphins have made it a point to disappoint over the last 25+ years and disappointment is what you all expect. It's been etched into your psyche but you have to try and realize, these are NOT your father's Dolphins.

There are worse outcomes but I wouldn't be too excited about that either as I wouldn't want to play them in the second round either if they won.

Actually, this morning I learned that if we just win the next two, Buffalo loses to Dallas and the Jaguars lose to the ravens, we clinch the three seed, even if we were to go 0-3 vs Dallas, Baltimore and Buffalo. Obviously, none of us want that as the end, but its still good to know as a fall back.

We also want to root HARD for the Jags against the Ravens, as that makes getting the 1 seed a lot easier.

That game rides on Lawrence’s ankle. He was subpar yesterday and it cost them against the Browns.

PS. The Jets look pretty dumb for passing on Flacco earlier in the season, don’t they? Lol

Bengals do look good and that backup QB is looking like Burrow back there. If he plays like this for the rest of the season the Bengals may be wondering why they gave Burrow $255M.
