This might worse than the Jets/Giants game last week.

Were all the Herbert lovers now? He looks like a beaten down Tannahill. At least Tanany would hang in the pocket and take that beating. He’s like “Oh hell no”.

If I were the Chargers I would just put the ball in your best players hands for the rest of the game, Austin Ekeler. Jets aren't going to score.

I can see the Jets coming back in this game and then the legend grows.

I think we'll be OK lol. Chargers should win despite all the miscues. Jets offense btw is averaging 18 points per game lol, so it would be nice if the Chargers scored another 7+ just to be safe.

Why does this feel like the Chargers are going to choke?

Good news. The Dolphins have the Jets twice in the next 5 weeks.

Hard for an offensive line and a QB to play worse

Heaven help us if we lose to the Jets. This public board would blow up.

Watching Zach Wilson last night I realised that he's much faster than Tua, has a way stronger arm than Tua, he can make every throw with that arm and can evade rushers with his mobility way better than Tua. He also isn't half the QB Tua is.

The Jets OL is awful, Phillips and Chubb are going to feast against it. If I were Rodgers I'd seriously think about not trying to come back this season as his mobility will be limited and you do not want that behind that line.

I still think the Dolphins struggle in the road game but I think they take care of the Jets at home pretty handily.

Problem is , will they have Rogers back by then or is he done for the season?

I seriously doubt he will be back from a snapped achilles in the next 5 weeks. If he somehow is then he will be a sitting duck behind that line.

Rodgers's bread and butter his entire career was his ability to maneuver and escape the pocket. He can't do that anymore. He is going to be a sitting duck.

Zach Wilson looks elite compared to Tua. I mean what a master he is leading an offense. The O line is clearly holding him back! If he had elite weapons like Hill to throw to he'd be even more elite than his eliteness already allows! I mean, eliteability isn't something that can be taught. You have to have IT (which he does)! The best thing about Zach Wilson that I like is that he's got an American name! I mean, he would be even better if we called him Zachary, but this guy is amazing! Stud QB who can really throw some lasers! Unlike the lame duck tossing Tua. Old butter fingers... Can't even throw lasers PFFTTT. Trade for Zach now! Also, we better hope Rodgers isn't playing by the time we square up with the Jets! He's going to want revenge for snapping his Achilles and everyone better buckle up when that happens! I mean not one...But TWO elite quarterbacks throwing lasers beam darts at the same time! We're dead! McDaniels and Tua will be fully exposed along with Grier and Ross!

The Jets offense is horrible, but their defense is legit. They were getting sacks rushing three and that's pretty scary. We should beat them x2 but I'm still scared of them- definitely not a pushover team. I just hope we play them before Rodgers returns.

They wouldn't have been a true contender with any version of Rodgers. You can't win a SB with an offensive line that bad.

Stop that! Stop that now, it's all getting rather silly. Look, no one likes sarcasm more than I do. Apart from my wife. And some of her friends. Oh yes, and the Chapmans at number 37. Come to think of it, most people like sarcasm more than I do but that's beside the point.....

I think you're wrong- the offensive line is bad, but Wilson's passes are usually way off the mark. The Jets D is so good that 17 can probably win most games for them, so it's not like they need a ton of offense. I guess it depends on Rodgers release and how quickly he can get the ball out. They have the offensive weapons though, there's just no way to currently use them.

It's almost laughable how teams spend hundreds of millions to have a shot at a championship...yet they ignore their offensive line needs. There were analysts predicting the Jets in the super bowl this year, LMAO. And maybe they're only Rodgers + 3-4 more players away from that. But those players would be offensive linemen.

They have Garrett Wilson and Breece Hall. Nobody else on that offense is any good. Allen Lazard is a joke and Randall Cobb was a healthy scratch. Both Aaron Rodgers signings. :sidelol:

It's really hard to compete with someone as bad as Wilson as your QB. The defense can only do so much. Not only that, you had three fumbles. I know they expect Rodgers back soon but I wouldn't give Wilson another start.

Rodgers has always played with good offensive lines. We got robbed of seeing over the hill Rodgers throwing hissy fits every time he gets sacked.

Even if he did come back he already wasn't that mobile. He could retear it and then he's done, done maybe forever. All that cap space waisted. He he he he

interesting that you put no blame on Wilson being bad based no the Jets awful OL.

  29. Springveldt

    Springveldt Season Ticket Holder

The OL is awful no doubt but I don't think Wilson makes quick decisions and holds onto the ball far too long. When a QB has 900 passing attempts and still looks as lost as Wilson maybe it's more than the OL that is causing the issue.

Granted he doesn't have a lot of options to throw to outside of Garrett Wilson (who is a great WR btw) but he's not without help as he does have a stud WR and RB to help out a little. The fact that he's still posting low 70 passer ratings after 900 snaps leads me to believe it's not just a lack of surrounding talent that is causing the issue.

Tua's line in year 2 was probably worse than Wilson's, he had Waddle and no RB yet he still put up a 90 passer rating. If Wilson was putting that up rather than 72 I'd say he is worth investing into and getting him more help. He just doesn't seem to be improving though.

Wilson has been the worst rated QB in the league for three years in a row now. At some point, it's the player.

Nonsense, Zach Wilson just needs more time to develop. A 5 year contract extension is the best path forward for the Jets*!

*And by 'Jets' I mean the rest of the AFCEast. :chuckle:

It's funny, all off-season I had to hear about the Jets and how great they're going to be and Garrett Wilson is going to be a top 5 wide receiver. If he's that good, shouldn't he be elevating Wilson just like Hill does to Tua?

We got some nice help today with the Browns beating the Ravens. Detroit beat the Chargers, San Fran smoked Jacksonville, and Houston beat Cincy. This is what you ideally hope for on a bye week. All the teams in your conference that are a threat to you to lose. The Steelers win was the only one that didn't go our way. If by some miracle the Broncos beat the Bills Monday night, I'd give this week a high grade despite not playing.

Jets will be desperate to get Rogers on the field soon . Whilst he might not make the first game against us, I suspect he will play in the second.
