We lost to the 2 teams that were in the superbowl 8 months ago. OH NO. We must stink.
Weak. Weak fans. Absolutely no willingness to grind through the build. You cant see where this team is and going?

    WEAK.

we went into buffalo and played them to a stand still twice. Once with a muppet at QB. Your own personal jesus, justin herbert, got dog dicked by tua at home. Its a narrative. Its the LAST narrative because guess what? Tua killed every other narrative. BUST. Lie! No elite skills? lie! Cant make reads. Lie. Teammates hate him. Lie. Durability? Lie.

So now its he cant win on the road vs good teams. Ok, sure. Cling to it because ITS ALL YOU HAVE LEFT

Young head coach and Qb combo, 1 and 1/2 years in a complex west coast motion offense.

These two will get better and better once they face many different looks and scenarios

The team showed the resolve to adjust and get right back into the game with a superior defensive performance, which is half our team let’s not forget.

To try and discect the loss and where we need to get better as the season progresses

    Road crowd noise and energy..

I know that’s a distraction for a team in general, I kept posting that I thought because of the ratio that was coming out of Germany that it would be a serious factor.

With our offense, the anxiety a road teams crowd presents seems to be affecting our ability to communicate the finer details of this heavy communcative offense

We need to get better at focusing and communicating when the opponents crowd is at a fever pitch

Tua needs to run more period, he can’t go games without establishing this threat, if he doesn’t get it then we won’t win

I don’t see Tua ever becoming a conscious run threat and I’m not saying that as a knock on him. He’s just not that player. Tua needs to evolve to a point where he’s not reliant on Tyreek beating everyone. Better decisions in key moments as well.

McDaniel is an offensive genius. He created a scheme based on the strengths of his QB. Full stop. However, those strengths and the accompanying scheme aren't good enough to beat teams over .500. You need your QB to create when plays breakdown. When the called play doesn't play out as expected. That's not this scheme, and it can never be. KC has the 10th best QB rating against. Only team we played that remotely had a good pass defense is Buffalo at 13th. THAT'S IT! We played a bunch of garbage defenses. Wait until we play the Jets (2x) that are 4th, Cowboys that are 3rd, and Ravens that are 1st. Yikes!

Forget a "good" team. We haven't beaten a .500 team.

McDaniel is learning too. Remember when people claimed Tua was "figured out" last year and that we wouldn't see high production this year because of that? I was one of those pointing out people adapt and that a full offseason makes a huge difference. Well the production has continued this year. Even after today's relatively meager performance Tua is at a 106.4 rating and will probably be in 1st after this week.

A bye week is coming up. Not the same as an offseason, but the adjustments don't need to be as big either. McDaniel has now seen what happens when teams shut down various aspects of his offense, from disrupting timing to taking away runs outside, or inside etc. If McD is truly a great offensive mind then he'll adapt to this. It's not just the bye week it's the 5 games with relatively weaker opposition to get things going again. You naysayers are discounting the ability of people to adapt. That's why I think you'll see a much improved offense by end of the season, one that will beat the Cowboys, Ravens and/or Bills. We'll see. But this thread should be reopened at season's end regardless of the outcome.

Do you really think Miami is not a good team because they have lost to two elite teams on the road?

I think they're not good ENOUGH. You can be good enough to beat the bad teams. We've been there before. That's enough to make the playoffs, usually, but it's not enough to get you deep into them.

The Dolphins snuck in last season and almost won a road playoff game with a third string quarterback. This isn't that team.

I will say this. The defence looks it will be the strength of this team second half of season and possibly elite by the end.

Bills have beaten 1 team over .500 (Dolphins). If you include Miami, KC has beaten 2. Ravens have beaten 1. Jags have beaten 1 (Bills)

So is the bar to beat 1 team over .500 and then you'll be a real team?

Your seeing a 2nd year coach go through growing pains. Look how he has corrected a lot of his mistakes from last year. Over reaction is not a good look.

One HC that's top 5 all time

I guess one HC is the refs? (Philly game)

And let's ignore the other HoF, all-time great coaches that MM has beaten. BB, Payton, Harbaugh, and Tomlin...Not to mention he did beat McDermott last year and almost beat him in the playoffs with his 3rd string, rookie QB.

I'll be 50 in January. I get the pessimism, but I've learned to look at the entire picture. I understand the frustration, it's been 45 years of futility with this team for me, but 3 losses out of 9 games isn't bad. And when you throw in the fact that we've had only about one full season of games with this HC and starting QB together on the field, 2 of those 3 losses were to both of the Super Bowl teams last year (One of which was a rig job by the refs), and all the great, historic level play by this offense I can't help but be excited. QB's don't lead the league in nearly every statistical QB category for this long because they are lucky or playing "bad teams". MM and Tua are the real deal. They aren't perfect, and need to get better, but these guys are lightyears above anything we've seen since Shula and Marino and as good or better than 2/3's of the league. Maybe even better, and they're both relatively green.

I wasn't saying over .500. I was saying .500. The Bills don't look like a legitimate contender either. They look pretty far from that.

Ravens have beaten two teams over 500. They also haven't just beaten the teams over 500. They've murdered them.

You do realize that statistically in this game Tua and Mahomes were pretty much even, don’t you?

If Mahomes threw for 7927 yards, 32 touchdowns, scrambled for 276 yards and Tua was 1/52 attempts for 2 yards, you might have a point, but that wasn’t the case.

Ill ask the usual brigade of haters:

what active and realistic coaches and QBs do you want over our incumbents and where do you rank them?

because its always a flavor of the month and then we never circle back. OH I WANT HARBAUGH. Oh, hee a cheater, oh I WANTED DABOLL… oh hes actually ***? Well… i wanted…um…Kellen Moore?

same with QBs! GOTTA GET DESHAUN WATSON. Oh, hes a rapist and washed. Gotta get Herbert… oh, hes a ****ing chud? I WANTED…uh… Derek Carr?
