Yup. At home. 0-5 opponent coming to town. Classic trap game and we have fallen for it so far as usual. Pretty sad.
He’s a shell of his former self. 7th highest paid corner and plays like the 50th best corner. Wonder if it’s time to move on from him or restructure his contract in line with his level of play
That deep ball was late, lofted and never had a chance. Wasted opportunity because he was open if it was timed right.
If Waddle was elite he should have went up and caught that. He tried to guide it into his chest again.
If the QB throws that ball earlier when he's open he doesn't have to jump up and make a contested catch. The throw was late, lofted and that allowed the safety to get there to make the play too. Come on. Its a deep throw, so can't expect perfection, but if he throws it earlier or with less air it's not the missed opportunity it was IMO
Touchdown Miami. Nice little playcall there. Nice "block" from Smythe too. Now we need to D to wake up.
Probably because he's protecting himself since he's not a jump ball WR that's been put into a jump ball situation with a poor throw? But ok... watch it back, he's open for a looooooong time. The throw is late, and to make it worse too much air on it. If he throws it earlier it's a non-issue. I know you'll only see it one way though, so that's fine and we can agree to disagree.
There we go back on track. Panthers started the game with the ball. Now it's like they scored and we responded.
Yup, I guess his draft position means he should be inspector gadget as well and be able to extend for passes like Calvin Johnson or something. I get his point though, he didn't use his hands to try and catch it and Waddle often does use his body/chest more than his hands and it's a problem sometimes. I agree with that, but there wasn't much Waddle could do given the spot he was put in.
Apparently Ramsey is on track to return early....i think he sees this defense and is willing his leg to heal like "get me in there"
