When I played Desides tonight I was prompted to download a new roster but its exactly like the first one.
That's probably because you had a different roster loaded when you went online, or you changed the default roster and didn't save it with a different name. EA is really getting lax with Madden; even people who don't care about the game are noticing it.
Yeah you're right. Well I just have to switch Pennington back over. Its the second time I've done this and how hard is it for EA to read your game files and see that you already have the file downloaded. Hell even I learned how to do proper coding to that extent while being a Computer Science major.
i hope they wait like 4 days and see what brady's injury is..out for season. playing online would be so much better
it has pictures for Bess(74) and London(73) not Carpenter. Williams is now an 88 while Pennington went up a point along with Henne going up 2 pts. Donald thomas is now a 75 while Roth is a 76 ovr at LOLB. also Carpenter is a 75 ovr. Bess's speed is an 89!!?? whats up with that>?
Ricky is listed as the starting running back on the depth chart as well. He might now be better then Ronnie in Madden. Bess' speed needs a boost IMO he is faster then an 89. Langford and Thomas both need major upgrades. A 74 is much too low for Langford and a 75 for Thomas may be fair to some but I think 78 seems about right.
i played one online game with langford and dominated, i didnt check his stats...they put in starks, moved holliday to right end....sucks cuz i like to use merling
well i started my franchise tonight cuz i was waiting for the roster update....first things i did was lock up carey to 4 year deal, signed bell for 2 more years...then i traded wilford a 4th and 5th round draft pick for limas sweed...and then signed ty law to a one year deal....im 4-0 lol i guess i need to goto all madden or something instead of that madden test..i barely beat the patriots on a game winning field goal, and dominated the chargers..... when it asks do you want to take the madden test after each game, and i do. but it never changes my test scores i don't get it
yet another madden roster update...this time with the safety culver(66) and Fullback Cramer(75). 2nd update in a week...wow they are outdoing themselves
I love how bad the trades are in this game, but I guess it makes up for the awful drafts for getting some positions taken care of (Cinci took a 73 ROLB 3rd overall just because they needed one bad and that was the best out there). Traded a 32 year old Ricky after the first game of season 2 for a 1st rounder out of detroit lol. Traded Joey Porter after the 2nd preseason + 3rd round pick for the first season's rookie defensive player of the year in Keith Rivers (who after 3 games for me has 17 tackles, 4TFL's 2 sacks, 1 pass deflected and a recovered fumble). I simmed the first year and the team went 4-12 so I ended up with the #2 pick in the draft. Picked up an 85 rated CB (6 QB's went in the first 10 picks...same ole madden). With the 34th pick I grabbed a 74 rated DT with a very strong power move rating (87 to start). Figured I'd take the risk as it's always hard to find a groomable DT in Madden and Jason Ferguson will retire quick enough. With my other 2nd rounder I got a decent WR rated 76 with 96 speed,94 accel and a surprising 72 awareness. He's taken over the 2nd WR spot and dropped Hagan fighting with Bess for the 3rd spot. Got a nice steal in the 3rd with a SS who was rated a first and kept dropping so I took a shot. 76 rated Strong Safety who put on a solid preseason and is ahead of Bell now. Whiffed on my 4th rounder with a 70 rated CB. Got a 70 LE in the 5th who might grow into a solid backup (did 3 tackles and 3 TFL's in half a preseason game). My biggest gem was finding an 80 TE in the 5th round. So I have Fasano/Martin and this guy in 3 TE sets works great. Whiffed on the 6th/7th round picks..they didn't make it out of preseason ;p With the 2 draft picks in the secondary I completed my secondary revamp with picking up 24 year old FA FS Jarrod Page (85 rank) who K.C. let go to free agency. I also completed my LB revamp with picking up Michael Boley (87 rating) to replace Matt Roth at LOLB and Charlie Anderson went up 3 so that made Roth tossable. Still keeping my eye out for a MLB to replace Akin at some point but that will hopefully come next draft (MLB's were invisible last draft). Not bad for a revamp. Sure beats the first season I had run prior before the roster update where I used to get beaten badly by QB's in the passing game...now they have much more trouble.
We should get a sticky with people's Live names, and one for their PSN names. I play Madden on the ps3, my name is, of course, Resnor. EDIT: Just noticed that there is such a thing...lol.
my team is so stacked..in the offseason i'm in..i managed to get trufant, pacman jones, michael huff, and patrick willis..hahahhahahahhaah...i got a steal at tight end too his name is frazier he is speedy and tall..5th round too
Man am I the only guy that stinks with the running game? I've never had as much trouble with the running game as I do this year, and that's even with doing some lead blocking. 2.5 avg. Even if I pancake the first guy out of the lane 2-3 more are in there before the RB can do anything. Annoying as heck. Sure I get the odd fluke 8-9 yard run during the game but those get balanced by the hits 3-4 yards in the backfield. This is on the "My Skill" version. Annoying as hell for someone who would rather run then throw. So now I got a QB avg some 500 yards a game on 9 minute quarters, but can't get a running game to go with it.
yea the exact thing happened to me so I had to make my own play settings. I made it the same as what I got on my madden scores (then I add to areas if I find Im having an easy time against the computer)then toned down the running(obviously). Hated to do it but it had to be done because quite frankly I was starting to get sick of not being able to run the ball and it just didnt feel right.
The AI is good at picking up and stopping most running plays. Try calling ISO run plays. You can usually rip off 4-5 yard runs that way. For the record, I have never gotten a run longer than about 20 yards in this game. Never.
The really messed up thing is that Ronnie has a 2.5 yard carry but the My Skill says my running ability is at the start of All Madden. Yet I'm passing up a storm and it says my passing is at barely All Pro. I think it's bugged.
Nope, I suck at this game, so much that I can't even be ar*ed to play it much and I love Madden. I'm all Madden at running and rookie RB but each time I play I total about 20 yds a game and pass for about 180 max! Theres no way in hell I'm gona play online at this rate it would be an embarrassment!
Don't use the My Skill level it "cheats". You would be be better off putting it at a nor mal skill level and you would have more success. I have ripped off 50+ yard runs more then once.
usually all my skills are almost full except passing which is at pro or all pro...running is hard but sometimes i get 100 yard games...i'm starting a new franchise though a fantasy one..then when the patch comes out im gonna restart my dolphins franchise so i can edit players edit:hopefully ill have ncaa 09 so i can use a draft class too

As well as the "Panic D" formation for the patriots where they all just stand and point at each other!
this isn't madden '09. it's '08 and for the PS2 (I don't have any of those next gen ones). I drafted a 6'7'' TE in the 2nd round w/the first pick I had. (I had about 5 2nd round picks due to trades and stuff). I figured "screw buying '09" so what I did was create long, langford, etc with their '09 abilities. I simmed a year or two (two I think) and picked up this TE. I drafted him simply because he was the tallest TE. As it turns out he's PDQ, too.
So was it confirmed this update came out? I was looking forward to it and wouldn't you know today i turn on my xbox and i get the ****ing red rings of death
