Yeah, I mean the difference between today and the Patriots was the defense only gave up 17. Tua's stat line was basically identical for these two games.
Exactly. QB's don't typically have MVP caliber games against top 10 defenses. I mean, it happens, and Tua has had his share of those too, but if the Dolphin's defense had just come to play today, and Tua wasn't playing behind back-ups on the oline, this game would have been a lot closer. The Bills were great today, and all phases could have played better, but the fall-back knee-jerk reaction of "Tua sucks" is just so dumb.
Tua wasn’t good today. He threw an interception and should’ve thrown three. His lack of physical ability was also on full display.
lol..What does "should have" mean? Tua didn't have his typical game, but he was above average. Every QB, in every game, has a bad throw. Herbert is currently 11-21, 113 yards, 1TD, 1 INT against the Raiders 24th ranked defense. He should have thrown more INT's. He SUCKS! HIs physical limitations, mainly his choking and lack of processing speed, is why he's just not good. Mac Jones (Whom I've seen some here say is better than Tua) has been benched after a 3 TO, 40 passer rating 2 1/2 quarters of play against the 3rd ranked Cowboys defense. lol
Don't put a finger on Diggs, it's a penalty. 350 lb lineman can frog splash Tua with all his weight into the ground. No penalty. Even Romo was saying how soft the penalties were. Anyway, not worried. Easy schedule coming up going into a showdown with an overrated Eagles team.
Mac Jones and Tua are the same player. One has the benefit of throwing to Tyreek Hill, who up until this week, was running wide open half the time. Mac and Tua can’t move, have noodle arms and fold under pressure.
Burrow, had an 80 passer rating today and went 20-30, 0 TD, 0 INT (But he should have had at least a couple of INT's...lol) against the 15th ranked Titans defense. They're now 1-3 with the 29th ranked offense. Burrow has a 68 passer rating on the season. Man, Burrow sucks. His limitations are so obvious. What a bust.
Wrong. If you actually took the time to look at the facts before spewing this crap you'd find out that Tyreek (The Dolphins leading WR in regard to separation yards) is getting, on average, 3.1 yards of separation per target. Which is exactly average for receivers in the league. Waddle, Berrios, Cracraft, and Smythe are all getting less separation than that. Claiming that Jones and Tua are "equal" is what I was talking about in my previous post. lmao...Such a stupid comment.
Also, you're claiming that Tyreek "didn't show up" and yet Tua still had a 92 passer rating. lol...Contradict yourself much?
I'm not really for or against Tua at this point but he threw 2 that should have been picks. I also feel like he's the best QB we've had since Marino but not elite by any means. He works well in this system when things are good but when he has to carry the team or improvise he seems to fall short.
lol.. guys look at the bright side. This forum was so quiet while Tua was doing really well. Now we got such enthusiastic posters again who were just waiting for Tua to look “average-ish” for a game. Today’s game made a lot of anti-Tua posters really happy! Not a bad thing from a human point of view. However I predict it will get quiet again real soon. I’m pretty confident Tua will end up one of the best QB’s in the league production wise by season’s end. The bigger immediate problem is the defense. Fangio is known to start off slow but he’s really got to get his act together, especially by season’s end. Have to finally win a playoff game this year.
It's called paraphrasing, unless when you claimed Tyreek wasn't running open you meant he came ready to play? Also, "noodle arm"...lmao...Tua throws the football at about 52 mph. Brees threw it at about 52mph. Brock Purdy 51mph. Jamarcus Russell threw it at about 65mph (How'd that work out for him? lol). Jeff George low 60's. Herbert 54mph. Hurts 51mph. Jones 53mph. Prescott 54mph. Wilson 54mph.
Look, if anyone wants to explain what happened in today’s game, the explanation is really VERY simple. Buffalo’s defense adjusted and ours didn’t. Buffalo gets the kickoff and drives down the field for a touchdown. Miami in turn returned the favor, driving down the field and scoring a touchdown. Buffalo drives for another touchdown, again we returned the favor with a touchdown of our own. This is where the game changed…or at least for Miami it didn’t. Buffalo drove for yet another touchdown but McDermott was able to make defensive adjustments and stopped Miami. Fangio was not able to make the necessary adjustments to stop Buffalo’s offense and put Miami behind the 8 ball the rest of the game. All of the pre-game chatter, there were the skeptics that pointed out, Fangio hasn’t failed well against the Bills. Well, guess that came to pass again.
All I know is that today was a good news/bad news day for me. The bad news was that we got blasted. The good news was that I watched it over my Mom's house and her power went out for two hours at the beginning of the blast, so I was forced to follow it on GameCenter. God blesses fools and children (and I'm 61 years old).
I'm just wondering why they didn't have Howard on Diggs. Like, I like Kohou, but he was getting torched.
Just one part to a horrific gameplan. It needs to be a learning experience for everyone, including and especially Fangio. But really, execution was just awful today as well. The players - especially on D - didn't come to play. They didn't want it, they didn't come with the physical mentality needed. They didn't come to fight. They came to ride coattails and it got away from them. Mostert too, and I think the OL to a degree. But man, Liam ... why did we trade Dan Feeney?
Mahomes is currently 8/16, 135 yds, 1TD, 2 INT’s with a 60 passer rating. Chiefs have scored 20 points. Mahomes has limitations and should be replaced.
How can you not see it? Who cares if our defense gave up 48 points (and could have scored more if they wanted), but this is all Tua's fault. How dare he not put up another 70 burger?!?! Total bust!!
You are either Skip Bayless or you need to stop listening to him. Luckily I missed the game due to being on a golf outing and only catching up now. I also see the usual suspects blaming the QB when the defence just gave up 48.
I see the "Show Ignored Content" is back on this post so I can guess that someone has magically found his keyboard this week. Quelle surprise.
