Wide receiver Jaylen Waddle is set to return to the Dolphins lineup this Sunday. Waddle did not play last Sunday because he suffered a concussion in Miami’s Week Two win over the Patriots, but he has steadily stepped up his practice workload and returned to full participation on Wednesday. All went well in that session and the Dolphins said on Thursday that Waddle has been cleared from the concussion protocol. The Dolphins offense didn’t miss Waddle while they were demolishing the Broncos 70-20 last Sunday, but they’ll still welcome having him back in the lineup this week. Sunday brings a trip to Buffalo for an early edge in the race for the AFC East title. Waddle had eight catches for 164 yards in the first two weeks of the season.
When we destroy the Bills this week the hype will be even higher. Bills don't have any tape of Waddle from last week and minimal tape from the 1st and 2nd games.
Good news. It's early in the season but this is already a huge game and Waddle should have opportunities to make plays.
I'll tell you what I liked, maybe THE MOST, about the win last week, was that the offense, Tua especially, didn't miss a beat being down one of the main offensive weapons. That is something that I had concerns about. Tua continues to eliminate my concerns.
I tried to tell people that McDaniel would get the RBs and TEs more involved. I tried to tell people that he would spread the other team's defense horizontally if they overplayed defending things deep. They are not afraid of using the entire field and all 11 on offense. The idea that Tua was "figured out" was nonsense. They had not installed the whole offense last season. They did not get everyone involved, things were not smooth, and they had a limited playbook. With the improvements on the OL and the running game, we are going to be extremely hard to stop on offense. At one point against the Broncos we had our 2nd string QB, 5th RB, 3rd, 6th, and 7th WR, 2nd TE, and three backup linemen in the game. They ripped off a 52 yard run. Having said that, we are not the only good team in the league. Buffalo, KC, Philly, SF, Cincy, LAC, and Dallas are all good teams.
Listen man... There's always the option that last year, because everything wasn't installed, or everything else you said, that he was figured out. It's not always that only one side is right. Now you had faith that it would all change. Bully for you. I've been burned by the Dolphins far too many times, so it's now prove it before I believe it, for me. That's why I said, Tua continues to eliminate my concerns.
I would add Detroit to that list, and if Watson can get back on track, Cleveland as well - their D is really good.
Great news. I think we’ll need everybody at their best on Sunday. I’m a big fan of Waddle, and it says a lot about his character that, as good as he is, he’s willing to play second fiddle to Tyreek.
I don't have faith in either QB. Also, Trevor Lawrence has been a big disappointment but they should be playoff bound because of the division. Once in anything can happen.
I get your concern, I really do, but now is the time as a Dolphins fan to just enjoy the ride. I mean, this is straight off the NFL's site for this past week:
