I hope we can keep running this system. It is working out really well. We probably have one of the best RB tandems in the league, and it can preserve and keep healthy both running backs. This is going to be particularly important as the season goes on and when durability will be a concern. Ronnie Brown has had his injury issues, but if he can stay healthy, he can help us win multiple games this season. This multi-RB system can help him stay healthy. The best part is, Ricky Williams is also an outstanding RB and has been for years. He covered quite a bit of ground today to help Ronnie score those TD's.

Great offensive line that Parcells built, great running game, great defensive play, and efficient passing game can win quite a few games. The key is avoiding the stupid mistakes, turnovers and costly penalties.

If not for the 60 yard run that Ronnie made Ricky would have topped him in yardage & average on the day and I really think Ricky in motion on those trick plays are what tore the defense apart, they were fearing Ricky hitting the outside corner against them and it made them try to defend two running backs at once.
They did a great job selling the fakes as well.

    I agree..
but ronnie has looked better than Ricky.. he stays fast on his feet for longer and seems to finish runs harder. Ricky has been easy to take down and any second effort he makes, is usually useless. I noticed consistency and nice yardage at the end of todays game from Ricky but Ronnie showed his talent throughout(like no one noticed:lol:) Brown should keep starting if healthy and if/when Ricky improves(to his former self) to where he can gain constant yardage and make people miss, it'll be interesting to see how Henning takes advantage of the talent.

all in all, i LOVED what we saw out of our runningbacks..

I douby after other teams watch film we will be able to run it with the same effect but hopefully we can keep on finding new ways to use Ricky and Ronnie.

He looked a bit better in the second half particularly on the 27 yard run. I agree though he isn't the same back from 2004 but a nice change of pace for Ronnie.

well as players get older they're not going to look exactly the same. speed is an essential part of this game regardless of what position you play and with age comes a loss in the step.

with that being said ricky looked great today be it as a running back or a decoy.

there are tons of other "old" players that look good, too. dawkins comes to mind.

as for those trick plays they probably won't work to the same efficiency but it'll have teams guessing and that can be just as good at times.

Remember, Ricky hasn't got much action since when? 2005? He looked great out there for his 4th game since 2005.

I think solomon wilcots made some excellent points, one being that he said he talked to ricky and that ricky said he has'nt found his rhythym and timing yet, ricky said that its coming and getting better but its coming slow.

You can tell this is the case by watching ricky's feet, hes tripping up a lot...

The great thing about this is that hes gonna get better and better as the season goes on..

I would also venture to say that this bye week will be great for ronnie and his knee
