OT Geron Christian signed off waivers for one year 1.08 million..

Played for KC last year. Played some LT so looks like a depth signing for a few games once armstead gets hurt again.

Yeah OL is now the one major concern left. I think defensive issues have been handled really well this offseason. I really like that they're focusing so much on FA instead of the draft, not only because Grier can't draft well but because it shows they understand how much more difficult it becomes for a team to win the SB after the QB signs a massive contract. Tua has 2 years left on his rookie deal and the FO rightly recognizes the time to go all-in on winning a SB is now.

I don't think Grier is as bad as many but his track record with drafting Offensive Linemen is abysmal. Only one real hit that I can see and he fell into his lap like Newton getting hit in the head with an apple.

Dolphins reportedly signing Guard/Center Dan Feeney, a six year vet who played for the Chargers and Jets.

Feeney only played 100 offensive snaps last season and the Jets had a lot offensive line injuries. He was basically 3rd string.

Cristian appears to have been waiver fodder the last couple seasons.

Bringing back Kendall Lamm is also depth only….

These guys will be lucky to make the final roster. We need to bring in Atleast one real starter to address the offensive line .

If they address the right tackle this team is going nowhere

Just signed Kendall Lamm as well, primarily a tackle on either side.

What scares me is I feel like they think last year was a fluke and that the injuries won’t happen again so they’re willing to try running it back one more time however, we all know and they do that injuries up here every year especially with older veterans and half of your rookies never panned out. I think they are going to regret not signing 2 proper starters for the line.

not only are they going to get tua killed but they are also going to severely reduce the running game. It’s not like our running backs are magically going to be better this year when they already were the same two that played last year behind the same line and we had pedestrian numbers as a running team.

We were a little late on signing Armstead last year. I'm not ready to panic just yet. I'm sure we'll sign someone worthy of a starting position on this team.

I honestly believe they are going to try and address this in the draft. There are a lot of good prospects in this draft however we HAVE little to no draft capital to use to get a lock at RT or guard. We can't even draft till third round.

There are 5-6 that are going to be taken in first 2 rounds IMHO. That leaves us with a young inexperienced player when the mindset of this team seems as WIN IT NOW. We need 2 quality players in free agency and they are not addressing it as of yet. Maybe they can pull a trade somehow if not that will be our Achilles heal all season.

Oh thought we gave that up to acquire one of these free agents still 52nd in second round isn’t very plausible for a starting tackle IMHO

At this point, I would be trying to sign Seumalo to lock down a guard spot. I think he would solidify the line better than what else is out there at the moment.

I don’t think we can afford him without trading Ogbah or Wilson.

I’m completely unimpressed with the effort put forth to protect our Franchise QB. You decided to pick up the fifth year option and that opens the deal to sign a long term deal worth over 100 million. So instead of protecting that asset you run it back with a few journeyman olineman who were released from ****tier teams who can compete for a spot this offseason.

We should be doing what KC just did by signing. Stud premium players to solidify their line and now they are rumored to be going after tunsel as well. They are building a dominant line to protect mahones. They are saying we will score 38 a game beat us.

Then I would pack Wilson’s bags for him - see if we can get a third rounder for him. A solid guard is far more important than a second or third string WR, especially since we now have a designated return man in Berrios.

Some year they will build a real line.

I am sure they would love to but can’t find anyone to take his salary. We would be lucky to get a 7th for him.

Too late. Pittsburgh signed him, 3 years, $24 million. That shouldn’t have broken the bank for us.

Seriously we could have offered something close with no state tax helping out as well.

I hope they have a real plan because I’m losing faith that they really want to win. This is a glaring issue that’s just not being addressed that will benefit they team this year.

drafting a 4th plus rounder isn’t starting material

Ok I will admit I was wrong.
They actually paid Feeney 3.25 Mill this year !
Way more than ‘warm body’ money.

That number is vomit in your mouth bad for a backup interior Offensive Lineman who only played 100 snaps last season.

Makes me wonder if they actually plan on him having a real role on the offense.

Added to that, we don’t have much draft capital this year, thanks to our wonderful owner.
