I'm hoping they will progress as the season goes on.

 

I hope some of you are watching the ending to this SD/DEN game... SD has come back... 38-31 SD now... denver is driving the ball... currently at the 2 minute warning!

 

The offense might. The defense lacks the talent to progress much.

 

Pretty big difference between pouring it on at halftime and pouring it on in the 4th quarter with a 40 point lead.

To make it clear, I'm not talking about Arizona because they did nothing wrong. If Tom Brady had received his injury during the 4th quarter of one of those games where the Pats led by 40, do you think people would still spout your tired, "It's the Defense's job to stop them" argument?

I think not.

 

Defense is ALL about talent and we ain't got much of neither.

 

How wrong you are. I consider the entire concept the difference between winners, losers, and the average. Winners do one thing - they win. Losers do one thing - they lose. Average stay average because that is what they accept - average.

You can take those three statements and place them in any context in life.

Here's one for you. Notice that nobody questioned the Patriots loss in the Superbowl? Nobody questioned them not resting players for the postseason. EVERYONE questioned the Giants not resting players. That is because the Giants were considered "average". So people expected the average actions. The Patriots were winners, so people expected them to win.

Here is your lesson my friend. You determine your own expectations and then people expect that from you.
