You would still have Joseph Addai,Jones,Rhodes,Watson ...I'll could also give you Fargas instead of Watson.
Addai did horribly against the Bears, Rhodes is just a handcuff in case of injury (and so I can't use him for bye week fill-ins), Watson isn't even the starting Cincy RB, and Jones is... Jones.
Wow, McFadden gets hurt and leaves when hes 6 yards away from a win for me. This week couldnt get any worse.
Ok so i'm in dire need of a wr. Here,a my lineup, and I'm thinking about putting a an or a rb on the block for a big we like moss or T.O. I'm loaded at rb but my wrs are horrible. Who should I put on the block? Phillip rivers Aaron Rodgers Stephen Jackson Willie Parker Felix jones Ryan grant Rashard mendenhall Darren sproles Antonio gates Randy mcmichael Ted Ginn Jerry porter Drew Bennett Reggie brown Kevin Curtis Posted via Mobile Device
Depends on how high you are on Jackson. If not real high you might be able to get a top 5 WR for him. If you are high on Jackson; then put up Parker and see if someone bites on his high week.
I think when players go down with injuries, trades will happen for me as well. This week, I get to whoop on L2G
Does anyone have high hopes for Addai this year? I'm really considering shopping him around if he has a decent game.
I'd have no problem going with Parker & Grant as top backs. People will question Jackson after the first game but you should still be able to get a top 10 WR. Maybe someone is down on Larry Fitz or Braylan Edwards... Any chance of grabbing Engram or Branch to stash away until week 5? Obviously Bennett can be dropped and possibly Curtis, maybe get rid of Sproles. How about DJ Hackett?
This is all good advice, except the part about dropping Sproles. I wouldn't do that; he's worth hanging on to just in case.
I offered a trade of Addai and Cooley for Jackson and Winslow. Would be a huge steal if I can pull that off. The guy I sent it to was pretty high on Addai before the draft so hopefully he still has faith in him.
That'd be pretty good. I would try to turn Jackson into another trade, though. Maybe you could get Marshawn Lynch.
I gotta check out the league and see who needs what. I was thinking of shopping Aaron Rodgers or Stephen Jackson, but I want to wait maybe 2 more weeks so I can get a feel on who I think would bring me more value in return. The last thing I want to do is trade someone and regret it later, espcially in this league where every single transaction costs the owner $5.
Shop Steven Jackson, but let him have a good game first. Otherwise people will think you're knee-jerking in response to the Philly game and will lowball you.
I like Jackson because he catches so many passes. He had a bad game the other night and still got 10 points because of it.
I'm not making any moves at least until after week 3. I'm in no hurry to make drastic changes, since I just won last week by 40 points. I'll wait until I can get a clearer picture of who the real deals and who the flukes are.
Do you guys think that trading Fitz and one of my low-end RBs for Steven Jackson would be a good move? I have Addai, McFadden, Williams, Slaton and Rhodes as my RBs. Fitz, Marshall, Deshaun Jackson, Kevin Walter as my WRs. It would definitely hurt my WR depth, but Im very unhappy with Addai's situation. I just have a feeling that with his situation, he wont come anywhere close to producing like a 1st round pick should. I think Fitz should have a nice season but it's always a toss up with him and Boldin as to who will have the big game. I also know that another team is very interested in Addai and willing to offer me Colston, Welker, Holmes or CJ and Kevin Smith, LJ, Lewis, or John Stewart for him. Sorry if this looks really confusing but its a lot of variables. If I do both trades I would end up with: Jackson Kevin Smith, LJ, Lewis, or John Stewart * 3/4 of the following: Williams, Slaton, McFadden, Rhodes ( I highly doubt he would take Rhodes in this deal) Marshall Colston, Holmes, Welker, or CJ Deshaun Jackson Kevin Walter Thanks for reading all this ish.
To simplify, it would basically be me giving up: Fitz, Addai, and either DMF, Williams or Slaton For Jackson, Colston (prob the best WR he has) and Kevin Smith (Or LJ or Lewis) Looks simpler now I think.
I think you need to improve the middle of your WR corps, not the top. Keep Fitzgerald. Trade Addai to the guy who's high on him for whatever you can get, but only Addai. If you can get Steven Jackson and, say, Calvin Johnson in a 2-for-1 deal, you are set. Y'know, if you like Jackson this year. I don't.
I'm really just trying to improve my RBs because I dont think Addai is going to produce how I want him to. I know the one guy will give me Colston, Welker, Holmes or CJ and Lewis, LJ, or Kevin Smith for him.
Unfortunately, its Chad Johnson, not Calvin. Now that he lost Colston hes not gonna have much of anything to offer me. He has LJ, Lewis, Kevin Smith, Welker, Chad Johnson, Holmes, and a lot of low level guys. Ouch, thanks for the heads up man.
The hits just keep coming. It's shaping up that those teams that drafted for depth will be in the catbirds seat this year me thinks.
I've got Colston in two leagues; one of them I drafted him, the other I traded for him JUST after week 1 ended. Damn, what a blow. I've still got decent WR depth--Mason and Stallworth in one league, Mason and Walker in another--so I should be set, but, wow. Question is, does this enhance David Patten's fantasy value, or Robert Meachem's?
Both, but I think Patten will benefit more, at least at first. This pretty much kills my trade of Addai to that guy too. I don't think he has enough value for me to give him Addai unless he gives me 2 RBs, even then I duno.
