Jackson with a perfect pass to Green Bays Bigby there. But stupid guy should have just went down, no point in running around with it like that, hopefully hes running some laps in practice for that.
I think it had more to do with the defense and McKinney, but Jackson definitely didn't help them. Favre to Minnesota next year.
They Vikings could be a .500 team this year. Teams will continue to put 8 in the box and let Jackson beat them.
I think that's a real possibility especially with the player option he has after this year. He gets to keep his money as well if he leaves.
Overall, 2 pretty solid teams, but the Packers are better. Jackson needs to be upgraded if Minny is gonna go to the SB. Packers wont miss Favre, Rogers should do just fine. Both teams need to clean up on the penalties and other mental errors, was very very sloppy. Now to see Dmacs debut.
That game against Ten. will be a brutal defensive game, 2 of the best there. The Vikes have a fairly weak secondary though, GB exploited it a couple of times. If you can get time to throw and keep a respectable threat of a running game you can def. throw on this team.
He needs to start the quarterback who gives them the best chance to win and I think that is Frerotte. Jackson is terrible IMO
Aaron Rogers played great. You can tell that he learned some stuff from Brett. Jaws made some comments about some aspects of his game, for example, how he reads defenses without overly turning his head. He has cannon arm and can gunsling it, even off his back foot.
Lol felix that was a BRUTAL play. Cant tackle him high or your gonna get run over. Think it was Jaws who said the league has never quite seen a guy who can turn the corner so fast, and then run you over when he gets there. Still, he also pointed out an interesting stat. I dont remember what it was 100%, but something like of leading RBs last season, he had the most carries for under 3 yards. I found that to be very surprising. That was always a knock on Barry Sanders too. For as flashy as he was, and as many big plays as he had, he had alot of runs for no or minus yards. If anyone recalls, the Lions almost always took him out of the game on the goal line. That said, if AP can work on that and stay healthy, he could be one of the best ever.
Peterson talked about the hit he laid on Harris. He said it was revenge for last year's tackle on Peterson that gave him his knee injury. I recall that stat as well. I found it surprising because he had several runs that were long. He had a high YPC as well, around 5.6 I think it was. Watching film on him, one of the things that makes him great is not just his overall talent level but his use of his head. He uses his head to misdirect the opponent. When he gets into the second level of the defense, he often sticks his head inside to move the defensive back in (into the blocker) and then he cut outside, leaving the player behind. Btw, isn't Sanders the all-time leader in negative yardage?
