The reality is this team doesn’t deserve to be in the playoffs. I haven’t given up hope and the future is very bright but this was a flawed team that Flores maximized what you can get out of it. Tua might develop into a franchise QB but Fitz is the only person that can win football games like today and I honestly believe Buffalo is just that good where we’d only win 1/2 times out of 10. We’re married to Tua for one more year and hopefully can surround him with enough to talent to see what he can truly do. But if he doesn’t make major strides next year, it’s time to move on.
So who's ready to move the stadium? https://www.miaminewtimes.com/news/...he-case-for-the-curse-of-the-tequesta-6554088
So since this game is long over... if Pitt comes back and beats Cleveland and we get in. Do you start Tua? Im sure the overwhelming answer here today is no, but I would. See what he's got on the big stage. Sure, we lack weapons, but his play left alot to be desired again today regardless of that. So, if we back ourselves in to the show I say start him so you have a clearer picture what to do in the draft. I know some may say it's an over reaction on the QB this early, but we have the ammo early in the draft again. This team has a young core but it means nothing if you don't get the QB position right. Currently, I'm not sure we've seen anything that shows we have it right. Albeit under some tough circumstances; I expected more though.
I guess at this point Flores should protect Tua's TD/int ratio to see if any team would buy it for a trade. Then let them deal with Tua's lack of physical/mental toughness and weak arm.
Jeez... another drop. It's clear Tua has no help. Anotehr drop, PArker looked like he had no interest in hanging onto that one.
Every fn post from you is the same thing. Yes we get it from you and Tua now go away until you have something else’s to say.
Why? If Miami ends up with the #3 pick, and Fields or Wilson are there, you have to be 100% convinced Tua is the real deal OR you take another possible franchise QB. If Tua had shown more this game, I'd be okay with just trading down and stacking the offense, but now I am wondering when Miami will have such a high pick again? The defense is good enough to get us 5-6 wins, even with a struggling Tua, so we won't pick higher than #8 or so going forward.
So far I'm still not disappointed in Brian Flores. Now.. Chan Gayley? Goodbye and Chris Grier I'd fire his *** too. Our whole FO is still a joke cause Ross doesn't know **** about football operations.
I think you're wrong on Greir. They've drafted pretty damn well since he took over. That being said if you're wrong on your QB choice; how many chances do you get? To me it's too early to close the book on Tua's career in the NFL, but it sure isn't off to a good start.
Griers biggest swing and miss is Tua.. hes been dead set on Tua for 2 years now... but hes done very well aside from that... i never wanted Tua, i dont see any progression next season. I already know we are going to see the same happy feet, hesitation and fear of tight windows next season. Its time to correct the mistake. Keep Tua in the roster, and bring in a quarterback with the third pick. Have them compete.
He's been good in FA. But how many great players has he really drafted? A lot of his success in his FA was our sheer amount of cap space, and a lot can be attributed to players around the league being excited by what Flores is trying to build. But we will see who is right on Grier simply based on whether he does or doesnt draft a QB. Because I think I speak for most Dolfans when I say "We're sick of waiting." Fitzmagic bailed Tua out what was it 2 or 3 times this season? And he couldn't even show up even to put up a little bit of a fight against the bills? He's a bum and this ain't no Rocky Balboa story
But there were also things that did look quite good. His arm and his health are my concerns with him. But I wouldn’t draft a QB this draft at least not with our early picks.
Everyone saying "I didn't want Tua" or "I had Tua ranked as a 2nd rounder!" Shut up and get me another quarter pounder with cheese.
Based on what? Your series of idiotic, negative comments? I have yet to see you make one logical point or comment.
It's the MOST critical decision. Look at what the Bears built, but it was all ruined by selecting the wrong QB. You can hit on everything else, but mess up on the QB and you are average at best. Do you give Grier another chance to get it right, when he couldn't tell that Herbert was the better QB compared to Tua? I'd keep Flores, but beyond that....
The team is getting embarrassed and you still defend them. Who is the one who is not being logical? Everyone needs to boycott this team until it's a full complete tear down. We always let some person hold over from the previous regime and it kills us. Fire everyone including Grier and Flores. Start over from scratch.
And everyone who doesnt watch or know anything about college football who were all giddy when we drafted Tua, shut up and keep your uneducated opinions to yourself. We wasted a top 5 draft pick on Pat White 2.0.
Playoffs would still be very good, just to see how Tua performs and the team would perform after today.
Health and the fact Alabama QB's never seem to succeed in the NFL because they can't seem to adjust to the talent gap, and look better at the college level than they actually are because of their supporting cast being so good too. That doesn't happen here at this level. They pointed it out alot during the Oakland game broadcast. Alabama open isn't NFL open. So he's got to adjust. He's not seeing things well enough IMO to make that adjustment. It may come in time if we add some WR's and he gets more comfortable. He leaves alot to be desired though in the heart and leadership department too though. I like a QB who shows heart and the desire to win. Sure, Tua is calm and level headed, but we haven't seen that fire from him yet. That concerns me. Intangible; I know, but he just don't seem to have that "it" factor that you should see even without a supporting cast. He just looks like he's going through the motions. Maybe it's too much for him in this odd season with limited practice and such and time will do the trick, but either way when you have this kind of draft ammo, and alot of question marks around your QB... you can't hesitate if you feel there's someone better. There were some pretty bad throws out there from him today; and yes, some absolute beauties as well (deep one to parker, the TD there to Perry; but that's against backups now). With better talent at the skilled positions I think he can certainly improve; I mean he has to or it's all worthless. I just think were at a point in the development of this program under Flores that you have to have the QB right, or that window of a rebuilt talented youth injected roster is going to close. You've got to get the QB spot right. To me; there's alot to be concerned about and quite a bit to be optimistic about still if you add weapons. I've just seen enough things already to make me go hmm.. I'm not sure this guy has it. It's early obviously... but still. If we stick with him... I say you draft Davonta Smith with pick 1. Go another stud OL, or offensive skilled position at pick 2 in round 1. Then RB round 2. You've got to give him weapons. The big question though with that plan is... is he still the guy you want to give the weapons to?
