Okay we are back in this. The defense needs to step up in a serious way. No fumblebthrough the endzone, I want a 3 and out or at least holding g them behind the 40.
Eh it was a good call. It was a stupid hit by Baker. The rule itself is a bit stupid, but by the rule it's the right call.
It's pretty sad to see how ill prepared this D was to face the option today. All game long they've been abused by it.
Ya gotta figure the team is going to start slow on offense, with four new offensive linemen who've never played together, two of them rookies. What are the odds an offense like that is going to come out and impose its will on somebody.
Our run defense sucks donkey balls. Every run play for New England is 5+ yards how are we going to win with that crap
On these calls there should be no regard for the call on the field, in terms of the spot. Simply watch the replay, put the ball where it should go, and then measure.
I'm much more disappointed with Fitzpatrick individually and the defense than the offensive unit as a whole. His first interception was a throw you dont try unless you're an elite QB, even if the receiver doesnt slip it's most likely an INT but debatable, maybe he breaks it up. Either way it was a low percentage pass with high risk. The second was just inexcusable.
Agreed. If it goes to replay, who cares about the call on the field. Go with what you see on replay regardless.
Well they burned a lot of clock.. we dont have much time.. gotta get in hurry up mode and eliminate our run game, try to get any score up and then hope our defense can stop new englands run game.. Why do i have a feeling we have one more fitzpatrick interception coming
Well, I don't blame the offense for this, but if this is the defense we're going to be stuck with the rest of the year, we're not winning anything but another high draft pick. We should start Tua if this continues more than another couple games.
they're likely just being safe with him and helping get him up to speed which is pretty hard to do with a rookie qb when you have no preseason.
What does beat out even mean in a year with no preseason and barely any real offseason? There is no way any rookie QB should be starting right out of the gate. I don't like Tua but not playing him yet is the smart move.
Fitz looks pretty good. But there's no point in putting off finding out if Tua can play if we can't stop the other teams from running the ball down our throats.
3 INT for Fitztragic today. One wasn't really on him. but the last two are. That being said, sure looked like DPI there on #33. He was mugging Gesicki and never turned around.
