We played a tough game and its not over just yet but after that call, things normally go wrong. We could very well see Florida blow this game open with another TD.

A defensive TD here would be nice.

Not the right time to throw such a heavy blitz at all.

Rest of the game doesn't matter to me now. I mean I want us to pull off a win, but when Florida wins this it's been tainted by that call.

It's too bad we didn't get to see the end of the third quarter and fourth quarter that should have been, it was a great game until then.

Why would you hit him? Use common sense on the field, not only in the classroom man. There goes the TD. This is what I was talking about when I said they would blow the game open with another TD. We played very good this game. This game could have been different without a bad call but that's history now as well as bull****.

I would have been okay losing without that one call. It burns really bad, it was worse than the penalty against Ohio State in the NC game.

I don't mean it hurt worse, I just mean it was a worse call. At least in the NC game he touched the WR a tad bit. The receiver never even caught the ball on this play.

Good luck as a third string NFL QB, Tebow.

This just made me laugh a bit. I pretty much agree. He's a great college QB, but in the NFL he won't be a good enough passer or runner to land a starting job anywhere. Though I bet someone takes him first round.

    Also:

Nice job Gators running up the score now that the defense has been completely demoralized by horrible calls that cost us a chance at a very competitive game.

im pretty pissed. It's obvious that the SEC officiating staff is pulling for the SEC team. **** this. GO CANES!

It's fun and interesting that even unranked we're one of the most hated teams in college sports.

You can say that again. Hey at least we can compete with anyone again, even if the final score doesn't reflect it. After that call it was like they took the air out of a balloon

Well, I lost my sammich but I got my money back for the bet. The bookmakers "guessed" it right and Florida was indeed, a +23 point favorite.

Lost a sandwich found a QB. I'll take that deal.

I think once Marve gets some experience and consistancy from the WR's he will be a great one.

Dude, we lost the game. The opposing team can do whatever they want, regardless of the score. We lost and even though it was a three TD + game, I have to say I was impressed with the Miami Hurricanes youth through 3 quarters and five minutes.

Florida showed that they are just as tough as they are fast.

Miami showed that they are headed in the right direction.

Disappointed with Florida's play selection on their final series.

Really good game. Obviously much closer than the score. The future is really bright for Miami. UF's program is much further along and that was the difference tonight.

Miami continued a lot of what Michigan did to UF defensively last year. UF should expect to see a lot more of that kind of movement up front once they get into conference play. But credit UM's back seven for some really good coverage as well.

OT: I await the day that the conventional offense comes back to college football (and high school for that matter). I hate the spread. And it pains me that we're entering an era that will feature it.

All sour grapes aside from the wagering, I have ZERO respect for Urban Meyer and his smug lack of class almost has me excited to see his face when wichever team beats them in conference. I mean why try to pass it in the endzone late in the game?? O'well im pretty sure karma will catch up to him within the next month.

As far as the call goes you cant "overturn" that call... that was one of the many unfortunate breaks the 'U' got tonight. Atleast you know the Cane's are gonna be back in a year or two, as soon as Tebow graduates they will be the best team in FL once again.

It just seems like you probably didn't watch the game with that comment. That call did very much have a negative impact on the team. 9-3 with them having to try a 50 yard FG or punt is extremely different than 9-3 with them on the 5 yard line due to one of the worst calls I've ever seen on any level of sports. Maybe we wouldn't have scored anyway, but the entire team was deflated after that and theres no way to deny it.

Also when you quote yourself in a post saying how annoying a fan base is, don't expect them to cut you any slack when replying to you. Thats why he got defensive.

It's college football. Meyer has to go for points because a lot of voters vote on score alone. They don't watch the game. There's no way they can see everything. They just look at the final score. When you're striving for a national championship, you have to do everything you can.

I didn't think Florida was running up the score unnecessarily. They were simply trying to win. If it were 40-3 and they threw, that'd be another story.

Perhaps you could comment on our running game that looked good? How about our freshman qb showing signs of a versatile QB who can both run and pass? Or how our wide receivers need to help out the young QB some more and not drop passes?

    Those are observations.
