And speaking of grey - I was reminded of these shorts from training camp a few years ago. If I recall, quite a few people like that grey/orange/aqua combo.
On its own, I like the shade a lot. I wear shades close to that with pants and shirts. But not on the Fins.
I'm ok with black alts, however, the pink is brutal. I'll stick with Black/Aqua/Orange. Like many fans, I want the throwbacks full-time. Some don't want it, but I think the majority of Fins fans do. Also for the record, big fan of the All Aqua. Not a big fan of the all orange. Orange jerseys with white pants is more than enough orange for me. And I can only handle that once in a blue moon (specifically for night games.) During day games they're a major eye-sore. I still remain hating the current logo, but I won't abandon my team no matter what they wear. I don't care how many fans try to convince me the dead fish swimming through a ring of fire (makes no sense) looks good.. It just doesn't, not to me. That being said... Fins are life.
The throwbacks aren't my first choice, but they're better than anything we've worn the last two and a half decades. And I really like the new logo. Its sweet. Just totally hate the lighter, pastel shade of aqua, and how almost all aqua has been removed from the white over white uniforms. I also hate white facemasks on white helmets as a general rule.
IMO one of the best things about our uniform is the current logo. The old logo was routinely among the most mocked on national polls for as long as I can remember. I generally like our new uniforms but IMO the logo was far and away the biggest upgrade. I also don't see a black alternative as making much sense for Miami. I did like the navy ones though. They just seemed to blend well with our primary colors. They would be a nice alternative to bring out during night games.
I was 6-14, and it seems we couldn't have more polar opposite uniform/logo opinions. Old school unis and logo forever and ever ahem.
I dunno man, I was only born in 90 so I cant fully appreciate the intricacies of the world then but I know our cartoons and video games were damn good lol I obviously remember the second half much better than the first.
I was born in 77, so I grew up totally in the 80s. I have a lot of great memories of the TV shows and toys of the era, but even as I was growing up, I thought that the fashion was weird and adults and teens often acted weird. But as far as football goes, I've felt that uniforms got progressively better from the 70s through the 90s. Then plateaued for a while, peaking around 2005-2010, and have been in a pretty steady decline since then.
Jesus no. Just NO! It makes me think of the tackiest wine bar ever. Bring back baggy sleeves with the aqua/orange/white bands. Oh and the sleeves should always have the logo on and the numbers on the shoulder.
Look man I don’t judge anyone for any opinions about fashion but I have no idea how anyone thinks the current jersey is better than these
I saw this mocked up a while ago. Its not bad as an alternate color uniform, certainly better than the orange color rush ones we've tried or the disco night one suggested at the beginning of the thread.
I've seen some designs were they bring the stripes down to the compression shirt like this one for the Bears. It allows for a more old school look for the stripes. Picture moving the stripe on the uniform I posted above down to the compression shirt, I think that would look pretty sweet. But I think the problem is not all players wear a compression shirt with sleeves.
Not a fan. If I had my way, every team would wear a solid base layer of their primary or secondary color when they wear white jerseys. I really, passionately, hate white over white.
I'm just the opposite, to me when you wear a different color base layer it just accentuates the fact that you are wearing two different layers. When they match and particularly when you bring the stripes down to the base layer they blend together to form one.
Different viewpoints, and that's fine. I view the white jersey as something that the team is forced to wear when they're on the road and can't wear their "real" primary look. So I want to see them accent it with as much from their color scheme as is reasonable. Base layer, facemask, striping, neck collar, ect.
The Panthers one looks like a weird CFL uniform, but not gross. The other one though....yikes. Why do they mock it up like that for the Heat instead of black and red? I'm not a basketball fan, but I think that they had a good look when Shaq was there.
