Marino at 22 completed 58% of his passes with 20 TDS and wasn't an MVP.

How is that better than Lamar?

No diss to my favorite player of all time.

Obviously you didn't watch because more than half of those yards came in garbage time against a prevent defense.

Jackson had 59 pass attempts and completed 52% for a 63 passer rating.

Will be interesting to see how defense's play him next year following this game. Interesting also that the Titans' followed the Browns' gameplan, who also beat the Ravens.

Chiefs' are nervous as Hell right now. Titans already beat them this season.

The dude had over 500 yards this game. While he didn't play his best, he wasn't exactly exposed as terrible.

I did watch. Titans played really good defense.

I am just saying this one game where he got over 500 yards did not just show he is never going to be a good player again.

Titans did the same gameplan as most teams did. Getting a two touchdown lead helped a lot.

I don't know if Lamar is going to have another MVP like season next season. That is difficult. However, I am not calling his career over at this point.

I think the injury/loss of RB, Mark Ingram, directly impacted him and the Ravens' offense.

I also think he isn't as good as advertised when he isn't playing with a lead and has to pass to come from behind.

I'd take him over Josh Stinkin' Rosen everyday though. At least he's a real competitor.

So you have a post-season where the Buffalo QB gets 350+ yards between pass/run...this game Lamar over 500 yards pass/run. What else do those games have in common?

They watching the playoffs, just like we are.

If this doesn't show how much this is a team sport, I don't know what does. 2-4 to the AFC Championship Game.

Don't LET them get to the Super Bowl....IN MIAMI....

Can we all just admit the following?

Tannehill is a legit quarterback playing at an elite level?
Running the ball is vital...***VITAL*** to winning?
Defense is the key to victory in the playoffs? (Defense wins championships)

I've been beating the Titan drum and beating it HARD since November 10 when I just KNEW Tennessee was going to the playoffs. But the thing is though, the Titans are playing the football I've dreamt about for YEARS...wishing and praying we would play in Miami. I always KNEW Tannehill was the quarterback we needed in Miami. I always KNEW he was THIS good. The Dolphins as a whole though was in shambles and rudderless in coaching. If I could transplant the Titans to Miami, THIS is the team...the talent, the scheme and strategy, the coaching we need.

Tennessee once again, in the playoffs proved once again tonight to me what I've always known to be true about football.

Congratulations to Ryan Tannehill, Derrick Henry, Mike Vrabel and the rest of the Titans for an incredible game and best of luck in the AFC Championship. I'm not jumping off this bandwagon until the end of the season

There are so many things wrong with this response, I don't know where to begin. I'll just do cliff notes.

    - Marino likely would of shattered rookie records had Shula started him from the start. Shula admitted it was a mistake not to do so.
    - Marino/Dolphins won a playoff game. Didn't get exposed... Twice.
    - In their second seasons, Marino destroyed the record books, won playoff games, went to a superbowl.

Like... How is he NOT better than Lamar?

And secondly, when are people going to admit, despite how fun and exciting it is to watch Lamar and these run first QB's, that when it matters the most, you have to be able to throw the ball, read defenses, etc... Until the Lamar's and Mike Vick's actually win something, they're only good for fantasy and highlight reels.

    Congrats to Tannehill!

Same for me, when he was here I liked him, but I thought he was just OK, nothing really special, and I thought the people who thought the team was holding him back were kidding themselves. Looks like I was wrong....

Let's be fair and not use age for comparison. This is Jackson's second year in the league and as remarkable as he played this season, his accomplishments pale in comparison toe Marino's second year in the league.

Gotta admit, that's a FAIR statement!

Well, first, in 1984 Dan Marino was not 22 y/o. Getting bacK to 1983

    — the Dolphins lost their first playoff game, to the Seahawks.

—Jackson had 1200 yards rushing this year, more than Marino had in his career.

—in 1983, even if Marino had started all year, he would have been unlikely to throw 36TDs like Jackson did.

So no, as a 22 y/o Marino was not as good as Jackson.

Oh HELL YES I DO! I'm so high off this playoffs right now it ain't even funny.

Always knew he was a cool enough character to do well, on a good overall team.

He's still my favorite player in the NFL, and I'll keep wearing my Titans #17 jersey as long as he's playing and Miami isn't.

    - Correct, my mistake.
    - And? When did RUSHING yards take prominence over PASSING yards when evaluating QB? The answer is, it hasn't. Unless we're talking fantasty... Litterally and figuratively.
    - You're right. Based on his starts, he was looking at 30 TDs. In 1983. When playing QB was hard. I mean, Jameis passed Marino in passing yards this year too... i suppose you think that's an accomplishment in 2020, in this era? I don't. Neither does anyone else who isn't dumb.
    - Not as good as Jackson... lulz.

How delectable was that?! Goodness, I love playoff football played in that manner.

Pees called a great game and his players played extremely disciplined. Henry is a beast.

And that Tennessee QB, damn. Intelligent, very accurate, great teammate, not much more you can ask for in a QB these days. Wish we had someone like that down here in Miami . . .

    And for old time sake

Imagine if he hadn't had the 2 dropped TDs and the WR had blocked Earl Thomas on that sack. He could've ended up with a perfect passer rating in a playoff game. Heads would've exploded.
