Oddly, I’m more into this Heat team than I was the big 3. Every player on this team (except Eudonis & Silva) has the ability to go off for 25+

Erik Spoelstra is single handedly the best NBA coach in recent memory that is capable of making chicken salad out of chicken ****.

Im watching Suns/Pelicans play.. all i got out of it is, Michael Jordan can roll out of bed, put on some sneakers, come out of retirement right now and get 10 points.. the defense is pathetic

He’s an incredible coach but he actually has some very good players to work with.

Once Bam gets more comfortable and assertive on offense, I see big things for him.

True, but is their any other coach/team right now that gets that out of Duncan Robinson and Kendrick Nunn?

The East is going to change drastically if Kemba is done for the season.. hopefully he is okay though, i would never wish such an injury on anyone..

Bam mother****in Adebayo. A 2017 redraft would have him top 3, if not #1. I’m telling you, I think this dude has offensive potential that we haven’t seen unleashed. I’m not even mad the Jazz jumped us for Donovan.

Kendrick mother****in Nunn. This undrafted baller is playing like a #1 overall pick.

And I respect you still chilling in the NBA thread despite your team being such water garbage.

Look through the 2017 draft and give me your top 10. I understand inefficient scorers with no defense may be high on your list.

Lol westbrook had a stupid fourth quarter.. first he got the Rockets in foul trouble 2 minutes into the fourth quarter.. he kept chucking three point shots and none of them were remotely close, airballed a midrange shot too.. that was some inefficient basketball

The Pelicans are not garbage. Pelicans will be fine. We’ll make the playoffs. We’re 6-9 despite being ravaged by injury. Zion will me back mid-December and dominate.

All these 2017 guys are better than Bam
    Donovan Mitchell
    Tatum
    D’Aaron Fox
    Josh Jackson
    Lonzo
    Markkanen
    Zach Collins
    Dennis Smith Jr.
    john Collins.

Bam is a nice player, but cmon.

If you’re saying they were higher rated in the draft, then yes.

Hopefully Zion comes back and beasts and plays some defense.

No. I mean better NBA players. And you’re right about Josh Jackson. I got him confused with another guy.

Nevertheless, there’s no universe where Bam is the #1 overall pick in a hypothetical 2017 redraft. Not top 3 either. He’s really good tho.

December’s schedule looks pretty brutal for the Heat. I hope they have another level in them.

Cut down the turnovers and stay focused all game. Important growing experience about to happen. Let those young pups take their lumps now.

Basketball reference has Bam at 7th in the top candidates for MVP. Obviously he’s not going to be mvp but that says something.

Tatum, Donovan, and Fox are considered the top 3 of the draft. Ball was supposed to be up there as well. These 4 guys were able to come in and start right away. We had Hassan cockblocking Bam the first 2 years. Now Bams getting his 33 MPG and he’s a key member on a team better than any of these guys teams.

    2019-2020

    Donovan Mitchell 21.74 PER
    Bam Adebayo 21.49 PER
    Jayson Tatum 16.82 PER
    De’Aaron Fox 15.82 PER
    Lonzo Ball 13.80 PER

I’m biased but putting Bam in the top 3 isn’t that insane of a thought.

I honestly think me saying Nunn was playing like a #1 overall pick was more outlandish considering he went undrafted in a year that Luka And Trae Young came out.

He’s certainly outplaying his Undrafted status though.

Todays loss was as ugly as i thought it would be.. expected.. back to back road games on friday and saturday... a very young team going up against a powerhouse...

we still got a lot to improve. I think spo knows that and he knew this was a strong possibility..

Just one of those situations where everything was falling for the 76ers at home and we were flat. Similar to how we blew out the Rockets at our home. I don’t expect either to happen again.

I can’t wait for payback. I hate Philly and it’s perennially tanking basketball franchise.

I'm taking a break from watching these Rockets. I can't deal with Westbrook's stupidity. I have tried really hard to like this dude, but he has 0 basketball IQ. I don't know how OKC fans put up with this garbage for so long. He can't shoot, but continues to jack up dumb shots. Dantoni is too much of a coward to say something.

Through 15 games, Westbrook has a negative +/-. We're horrible whenever Harden sits for rest. Dantoni refuses to play young guys. Hell, I would rather see Chris Clemons (rookie) run the 2nd unit than Westbrook. When Westbrook was hurt, the kid walked into the game and dropped a smooth 19 points the day after playing in the GLeague. He is the perfect backup for Harden. The kid averages 20 points per 36 minutes and shoots over 42% from three...and Dantoni refuses to play him unless an emergency. Same thing with young Isaiah Hartenstein. He grabs 16 rebounds and plays well against KAT last week, then Dantoni refuses to play him again. He'd rather play 6'5", PJ Tucker at backup center than Hartenstein, who has already dominated the GLeague last year.

It's too much stupidity for me to handle.
    Rant done...lol.

houston would have been better off keeping cp3 and finding other ways to improve ... cp3 has been solid in a limited role for the Thunder.. his health obviously was annoying but i dont think it can get more annoying than watching Westbrook destroy any momentum..

Its crazy how far elite athleticism can take you.. Rose before the injuries was a lot more skillful...

You may be right. I don't know which one is worse...a smart, always injured Chris Paul or an energetic, idiotic Russell Westbrook. I just don't even know, lol. They're both unreliable.

Not really an active college basketball thread right now, so I'll post it in here. Familiarize yourselves with Obi Toppin, the forward from my alma mater, the University of Dayton. He's #1 if you see them play. Dayton beat the crap out of Georgia today in the Maui Invitational and will be on primetime tomorrow night against Virginia Tech.

    6'9" 220lbs R.So from New York.

    - R. Fr season last year.

    - Dayton's first game of 2019-20 season.

    https://www.nba.com/rookie-ladder

Tyler Herro climbed into the top 5 on NBA.coms rookie ladder. Nunn has been in the top 5 every week of this young season.

Bam with 21/13/5 tonight. Nunn with 19 on 70% shooting. Herro with 18. Miami still undefeated at AAA.

Really wish we could have Dennis Smith Jr and his 5/1/2 right now to save us. I think trading Bam for Zach Collins straight up could make us a contender.
