I haven't been keeping up. Are we one of the few teams left talking with the Cards about Rosen? Is it a game of wills and we will see who blinks first?

Unsure. I haven't heard anything new, but the other two primary trade partners just drafted QB's in the first round. From earlier reports, it's only us and the Patriots left?

    That's kinda what I'm thinking.

The Chargers could also be in play. But, I really think we have to be the front runner.

Wrong that I don't like him?

There are plenty of TV shows, movies and music that millions of people like, win all sorts of awards, ect....but I don't have to like them, or enjoy watching or listening to them. That doesn't make me wrong, it just means that I don't like them. Same with football players. A guy can set every record in the book and go to the HOF, but that doesn't mean I have to like him, or would want him on my team.

To be fair, "I don't like <insert player>" in a football context most often means you don't think he's good. It rarely means you actually don't like the guy.

Though I was mainly talking about Philip Rivers. After 15 years of the guy being a top 10 QB, you may have been wrong.

Make it happen, Miami. They can grab Rosen for cheap now that Arizona has made their intentions clear. Very good prospect with an excellent head on his shoulders. I'd toss a 3rd rd pick without blinking, and would consider a 2nd if the Cards would concede some higher round draft picks to compensate.

This makes zero sense. Rosen is/was the favorite QB last year coming into the draft everyone liked him. He played for 1 year on a **** team with multiple issues and offense schemes. His contract is very friendly and we have ZERO ability to get a Franchise QB this year and possibly next year. What don't you like about this? If we get this I would be 10000% excited. If it doesn't work out what have we lost? Make a contingent proposal for next years 2-3 and give them something this year for him. Everything we pick from now on in the draft is a crap shoot!

As a University of Arizona alumn - I watched plenty of Pac12 ball. Both he and Darnold were a couple of the most over-hyped, overrated QB's to ever hit the college landscape. His cockiness (and I'm not just talking about his opinions) lead to baffling throws and turnovers. It's not going to change here in Miami, it's who he is at his core. Everywhere on Twitter is reporting the 48th pick of the draft, which makes it even worse.

The only excuse he has is the round robin of coaching he's experienced between college and the NFL. The fact that AZ is running away from him as fast as possible is a serious red flag.

This thread has just reminded me of the pro-comp I saw on Rosen last year where he was compared to Bo Callahan from the movie Draft Day in that he had the natural talent but nobody really seemed to like him and there was questions about his coachability. Tickled me at the time, but it's a year on and honestly I don't know what Josh Rosen is as an NFL QB.

I maybe offer a 4th or 5th to save them from a potentially toxic camp that hurts the Cardinal's new chosen one in Murray. Meanwhile I've got a year to figure out what exactly Josh Rosen is, which to be honest is the sort of thing I'd expect to spend the next year doing with a 4th or 5th round pick at QB. I think somebody blinks though and offers at least a 3rd if not a 2nd.

My concern is that despite being a different type of QB, Rosen is Tannehill in that he's a decent QB but nothing more and grabbing him handcuffs us.

I would have preferred a 3rd and next years 3rd for him to be honest, but I'm not going to hate on 49th overall we might just be swapping picks. No one knows yet and we won't until its official. Without a QB you're dead. Is Rosen the answer? Way to early to know IMHO. College to NFL doesn't mean a lot to me. If Coach is sold that this is a kid that the Pats wanted also last year and know something others don't and we make the move and get him and he becomes the starter for us than Im all for it.

If Flores didn't approve of this choice than im sure this would not happen. If you told me we would get a franchise QB and a STUD Dlineman with the first two picks in this year's draft I would tell you that an incredible success for this organization.

If it doesn't work out we didn't really lose anything. I also don't think this is a straight up 2nd pick.

Big Arm, Big Size, Pocket Passer, moveability. Miami has better receivers also. We just need some Oline help I welcome this addition because we have NOTHING BETTER. Do everything you can to get better.

Bro - the Dolphins don't have a quality O-line or consistent WR core. You think this story ends any better than it did for the Cardinals?

Can they cut Fitzpatrick as soon as they make the trade?

I wanted him last year and was pissed when AZ traded in front of us.

We ended up getting Minkah, and (probably) Rosen for a 2nd? That’s pretty awesome.

YES I do. I believe we have better wideouts and a better line regardless of what happened here in the past. We have a new set of coaches, and YES YES YES we need some more lineman, but I believe we can easily outperform last year with better coaching.

I would not do that at all. He's a solid backup.

Backup for what? They aren't going to compete these next two years he's signed. I hope there's an out in that contract.
