You do clearly, in fact, have an agenda and that is to convince others that Kaepernick should not be allowed to play for the dolphins because of his world view.

Of course that’s also a prime example of bigotry.

You’re welcome to have an opinion but if you’re going to share that opinion maybe you shouldn’t be so offended by the responses you get.

The point that should be made is the guy was a one trick pony for one year on a good team. Some of you all acting like he was Payton Manning or Arron Rodgers. He’s just not that good. Happens to a lot of QB’s the first year they do really well till your in tape and than you have to adjust your game he didn’t.

Guys a PR nightmare regardless of which side you fall on. I want no part in all that drama. I want a team first mentality. Also what do you do when he signs with some e and game 2 he kneels or decides to do something again? NOOOOOO Thank you

His last couple years he was just not good. I cannot believe our new leadership would take a chance on him.

If they brought in this guy I would be taking the year off and reevaluating my support for the team. And I go way back. The intentional disrespect for this country and the flag for which it stands is makes me want to puke. Almost weekly an officer is gun down or shot. The disrespect for the men and women who put their lives on the line everyday running toward danger makes me want to puke. His praise for a dictator that murdered thousands makes me what to puke.

It's fair to say that he isn't anywhere near the level of Manning or Rogers ... but like, few are.

He is absolutely the highest ceiling QB that we could pursue, and it is absolutely true that his talent and accomplishments were 100% worthy of being signed again. That said, I don't really mind passing or signing, I don't care. If we are looking for a bounceback type of player (like we did with Teddy) then CKap is it. If we are just looking for a veteran to helm things until Kyler is throwing bombs, then he's not a great choice imo.

Just cleaned up this thread somewhat.
There's a reason there is no longer a political forum on here and this is one more example as to why.

We have a rule here, attack the post not the poster. That got broken several times. No need for name calling.

Kaep is a controversial figure. There will be plenty on here that would hate to see him in Miami. That's fine. Others wouldn't mind. Also fine. Let's just leave any posts at that. Any wandering off onto political topics has proven to be too controversial so please avoid it. Stick to the football.

    Thanks.

No matter what you think of Kaepernick, there is no question NFL owners are engaged in concerted action in restraint of trade against him. Personally I don’t enjoy seeing the Dolphins be8ng a part of it.

I truly believe that Kaepernick should be in the league now, he's at least a low end starter. Obviously it's not happening now that we have Fitzmagic, but this is the only team he shouldn't be on, wearing a Castro shirt is unforgiveable for a team with a huge Cuban fanbase. I don't care how many times he say's he doesn't agree with certain things Castro does, why did he wear that shirt?

As I said to someone else earlier, if we put your life under a microscope and look at every action you've taken the past 3 years, I'm sure you've done worse than wearing a T-shirt with Castro and Malcom X shaking hands. Yet some people define his entire life/career over that moment and the dumb statement he made when pressed about it. That's just not fair for anyone, especially when it's taken out of context.

To be clear, I'm not pro-Kaepernick...I'm anti-media for making crap up and twisting things to start race wars in America.

Maybe he should have considered his future desire to play in Miami BEFORE he repped Che Guevara. Less than ZERO chance this city accepts him.

Also don't want the distraction, but that's just me.

I really don't know if he has that high of a ceiling. He had one really good year, but it's not unusual for young QB's to break out when teams don't have film on them. I followed him very closely (mostly rooting for him over Russell Wilson due to side bet with a Seahawks fan) and he really didn't impress me. Once teams had film on him, he came back down to earth. On top of that, I question his dedication to football. He had an offer from the 49ers to make him filthy rich, and they brought in a coach from who's system he'd have been perfect and he still wanted out.

Guy had talent, but he was far from a sure thing long term, and now he hasn't played a game in what? Over 2 years?

Neither Colin Kapernik's freedom of speech nor action were impaired by anyone.
(Not to mention that the constitution only prevents Congress from prior restraint)
But, like the fool who hurls insults at a stranger, he must suffer the consequences of his actions from those he has offended.
    That's how stuff works.

I'd be curious to hear what noble reason he had for wearing a shirt like that. Was it a Fidel Castro shirt or his brother Che.

From my point of view, one was a liar and a dictator and his brother was even worse!

Don't forget that this all started after his team benched him (he wasn't playing well) and he got hurt. I do not remember the sequence of those two events, but it was about the same time. When he recovered from his injuries they still kept him on the bench. That's when he had his revelation. Just coincidence that he tried to use it as a guilt trip to get people to give him a job. My god, even his mother has disowned him.

Someone had posted a copy of an NFL contract showing the section about what the required behavior was for an NFL contract. One of those items was standing for the national anthem. If this information is right, then Kap was guilty of breaking his the contract.

Everything about this guy reeks of "Me, Me, Me". Well, he has his college Degree (at least I think he does) and that should help him land a real world job. Maybe he could get a law degree and be an agent?

Guys, this thread has already gone off the rails once. I've asked everyone to leave politics out of it. If that's too difficult then considering Kaep clearly isn't going to be a Dolphin if it happens again I'll lock the thread.

    Last warning.

As has been already mentioned on the thread, he hasn't played for 3 years and in that last year, wasn't really lighting it up. I know that Key has posted that he has been in training in that time but training is not the same as actual gametime and if it is true re he wanted $20 mill from the XFL, it's a no from me. We now have the other Fitzmagic, so lets roll with that!

If you google Kaepernick Foundation you get 1.5 million hits. I scrolled through the first 3 or 4 pages, every article was positive and he was covered in every major media outlet in the US. He has not been blacklisted, he just wants to dictate how, when and where he plays. I cannot imagine a worse decision for a first-year GM and Coach than to sign a divisive figure like Kaepernick. To top it off he hasn't taken a snap since 2016. It is the 2019-20 season.

Moot point probably with Fitz now....but I wouldn't have cared about CK being our QB if it was a one year deal. Even for absurd money.

You surround him with a rebuilding team and he either performs and you re-sign the guy or he bombs out and you probably have a tp pick.

What these guys do in their personal life has nothing to do with me and as long as he isht hurting anyone...I dont really care about it.

Good QB, and an even better person, who should have been signed a few years back instead of Jay Cutler endorsed by Gase.

Would still take the modern day hero now, since we have no solid option at the position.

I'd be all for the Dolphins giving him a try out. Due to the fact that he's been out for so long, and I question his actual desire to play football, I doubt he'd look good enough to pick up. I wish they would have given him a look when they picked up Cutler. I DO think that at that time he would have given Cutler a run for the money. After seeing Cutler come in and play at half-speed all season I wish they would have given Kap a chance.

Different beliefs is what makes america great. But making up lies is different. I was the biggest kap fan. Till he went against the police. Cops are not out to get black people like in The 50’s. And kap isnt even black. Mulatto maybe. I’m darker than krappernick in the summertime. Leave the racism in the past. And move on to a better future for all of us.

Evidence supports the fact that not only cops, but the legal system in general, "are out to get black people".

This is coming from a person who at one time was 100% on the side of the police and I always said, "Well, if you're not doing anything wrong you won't have problems with the police." That was false. I was wrong. The police regularly harass, intimidate, and harm innocent people based upon nothing more than race, demographics, and ethnicity.

Police culture is horrible. Are there good cops? Of course. If I was the father of a black son I'd be scared ****less if he ever came into contact with a cop. I can't even imagine having to live like that, but the facts are people today, mostly black people, and we aren't in the 1950's, are living like that.
