Its very likely that there will be more Spiderman movies. Most of the big actors have a certain number of films in their contracts, and Marvel and Sony also have a special deal for the character as well. Its believed that Tom Holland is contracted for at least one more movie as Spiderman after Endgame and Far From Home, and given that he's so young and seems to enjoy the role, it would make sense that he would have a larger role going forward within the MCU.

    https://www.denofgeek.com/us/movies/marvel/249346/marvel-studios-when-actors-contract-expire

This is a good article that talks about the actor's contracts, and what movies they're expected to appear in coming up.

Not mentioned in the article, but I think this would be a great time to add to the backstory between Natasha and Clint. Not necessarily the whole movie, but a 15-20 minute segment somewhere in there.

    https://geektyrant.com/news/directo...-another-marvel-movie-but-not-guardians-vol-3

Taika Waititi, director of the awesome Thor: Ragnarok, wants to do another movie with Marvel, but not Guardians 3, basically out of respect and friendship with James Gunn. It looks like the suits at Disney who forced Gunn out have really screwed Marvel over in getting someone else to be able to take the franchise over and do a good job with it. At this point, assuming that Gunn isn't rehired, we basically have to hope that someone young and unproven takes over and makes it work. Thankfully, Marvel has been good at discovering those people so far.

That would be awesome. Its what so many people want. I just read someone make a guess that they fired him in part so that the deal with FOX would go through without incident, given that they are paying him what he would have made as director to use his script, and could in theory rehire him next year as director. I guess we'll see. Chris Pratt just said that the movie is absolutely happening at some point, that the main cast will be back, and that the script it awesome. They all have Gunn's back and want him there, but they're also going to do right by the fans and not stick it to Disney to make a point.

Not really sad - she hasn't added much to the movies, and she's kind of a weirdo that I don't really like supporting anyway. Would be interesting to see if they follow the comics at some point and have Tony pass the IM mantle like he does in the comics.

It'll be interesting to see where they go with Tony's character in Endgame. Depending on that, a lot of different things could happen in the future. It would be cool to have RDJ show up as an occasional mentor character here and there in the future movies.

I still don't know how you do a movie about the Infinity Stones and leave Warlock out of it. It's like doing a movie about the entire World War II and leaving America out of it due to artistic license. Count me as one of the few who are disappointed

One thing that helps is that the Infinity Stones comic did not actually happen. It is a much different story in a different universe.

    https://geektyrant.com/news/accordi...says-it-could-span-tens-of-thousands-of-years

An article with Kevin Feige talking about the general future of the MCU, and then more specifically about The Eternals, which is the one new part of the Marvel Universe known to be in development. I'm really interested to see how they choose to do it. You would have to think that they also involve the Celestials on some level.

    https://geektyrant.com/news/with-ph...te-on-how-many-films-they-will-release-a-year

He also says that they aren't going to be making any sort or big announcement laying out plans for the future like they did last time. I agree that it lead some people to overlook some films because they couldn't wait to get to others.

And if they do end up pumping out more movies a year, I hope that they aren't bunched together on the calandar like they are this year. We've got Captain Marvel, then End Game, then Far From Home all within a three month window. I'd rather have about one a quarter.

they showed what was likely him in the egg. hopefully more than just a cameo. Plus, while that would appeal to all us comic nerds, I think the story will play out better the way they did it.

I found some of the stuff in this long article interesting. Its all theory and speculation, no spoilers, about how the X-Men might be introduced into the MCU. Gives some insight as to how Marvel might have inadvertantly left the door open at the very start.

    https://screenrant.com/xmen-mcu-incredible-hulk-wolverine-theory/

Clark Gregg, who plays Phil Coulson and is also a writer and director, is interested in working behind the camera with the MCU when his acting gig is up. I think he would be an excellent person to keep around, because not only is he a smart guy who's good at his work, he clearly loves being part of the Marvel family and its important to him.

    https://screenrant.com/clark-gregg-direct-marvel-movies-disney-plus-series/

And surprisingly, it looks like actor Sean Gunn, brother of director James Gunn, will still be a part of the Guardians 3 when it gets made. I'm not sure if he's contracted to do so or not, but he seems to want to be a part of finishing it the right way.

Captain Marvel is very good. (not that any of the MCU movies are bad). 8/10.

It did take me a while to accept the very small and seemingly unathletic Brie Larsen as a superhero, but by the end of the movie, they did a great job of selling it all, and making it impactful. She's a good actress, and did a great job holding her own bantering with veteran badass Sam Jackson all movie long. I don't want to risk giving anything at all away, but I would absolutely suggest to go see it in the cinema, and I think that everyone will enjoy it. Its a fun movie, with probably less action than most MCU movies. The right amount of levity, and some points where I laughed really hard.

Bretton is a weird choice. He's directed two low budget dramas. One got awards, the other actually got criticism. Hopefully marvel knows what it's getting

Yeah, its been the direction they've been going with the solo movies for a little while now.

Jon Watts - Spiderman Homecoming was mostly unproven and very young
Taika Waititi - Thor Ragnarok was mostly unproven
Peyton Reed - Ant Man + Ant Man & The Wasp was proven, but only in pure comedy
Scott Derickson - Dr Strange was proven, but only with horror
Ryan Coogler - Black Panther was mostly unproven and extremely young

And most recently, Anna Boden & Ryan Fleck - Captain Marvel mostly unproven

They were always going to use his script, and now he'll be in charge of everything in person too. It should be as great as it ever was going to be. I'm hoping that he'll also now be involved with planning the greater MCU between Endgame and Guardians 3 as well, like he was leading up to Infinity War. Keeping it all on the same page.

Goose was quite good in the movie. Overall, quality Marvel movie on par with the majority of the others. clearly an intro movie, but had just enough action to keep it entertaining. 1st credit trailer was a nice tie-in with End game.

    https://screenrant.com/deadpool-x-men-disney-reboot/

As expected, Deadpool will be the only character from FOX who isn't rebooted and recast now that Disney owns them. Its unclear though, if Deadpool will in fact become part of the MCU, or simply remain a (profitable) standalone side project.

    https://screenrant.com/new-mutants-future-disney/

Disney may decide to make The New Mutants a streaming release, rather than sending it to theatres, for a variety of reasons. I think its likely wise, and will allow them to save face as opposed to having it bomb at the box office. Just slide it in, let the people interested enjoy it, and move on.

Putting New Mutants on Disney+ is probably for the best. I would like Deadpool to remain separate and keep its R rating.

Guardians 3 will start production in February of 2021. I'd guess then that it will be a summer 2022 movie, so there will be quite a few MCU movies between now and then. It'll be interesting to see if the newly introduced cosmic characters shape what adventures the Guardians end up having.

    https://screenrant.com/fox-marvel-xmen-movies-ranked/

This article ranks the sixteen Marvel movies made by FOX so far. And while I don't agree with a lot of the rankings, the more important thing to me is how few of the FOX movies would even deserve a conversation as being as good as any of the MCU films. I'm honestly just ready for it to be over, and for all of the characters to be rebooted that haven't been already.
