Not that it's ever likely to happen but what would you folks think if he ended up at the Dolphins? Like I said, not likely to happen but I do think he's a Gase type of player and would be an upgrade on Drake. As for his misdemeanours, well, it didn't look good, did it? But does he deserve a second chance after serving whatever punishment is forthcoming? And, if he does and he gets one, some team somewhere in the NFL will be quick to secure his services, so why not Miami?
He’s been taking the right steps to angle his way back in..Not blaming anything but himself, being accountable, remorseful, contrite it seems.. I’ve only seen the video once, I don’t believe he punched a woman right?
Looked like he (or someone) pushed a guy away who fell into the woman and they both hit the deck. She was sat on the floor and he wandered over and gave her a kick on the leg. Not defending his actions or anything but it wasn't the hardest kick you'll ever see, there was no back-swing or any power in it. I've been kicked much harder by our lass in my time.
He hit/shoved (whatever you want to call it), then kicked her while she was on the floor. Don't even try to justify it people. No way in hell this team signs him, and IMO... no team should. Not just does he have this issue with the woman, but he's being investigated in multiple other assaults/incidents. The hell with him.
If it’s the only incident I’m OK with it. It looks like drunks mouthing off and getting into a pushing match. Nothing setious, and if he learned his lesson and takes steps not to put himself in that situation again it shouldn’t be a permanent ban on him earning a living. If it is part of a repeated pattern then I am good with shutting the door. Let another team take the risk of trying to rehabilitate someone who doesn’t want to be rehabilitated (see Jordan, Dion)
It appears to be a pattern. Anger management issues, lack of self control, or just general douchebaggery. The only way you take a look at him, imo, is if he takes time away from the game (at least the rest of this season, if not more), gets voluntary counseling/help and expresses genuine contrition and commits to being a better person and work towards solutions instead of excuses. I'd still pass.
I would take him in a heartbeat. Then again I would have John Wayne Gacy at DE and Jeffrey Dahmer at safety if they could play football. If nothing else there would be no smack talk from the other team
We dont need a rb bad enough. Now if he could block or tackle. Still wouldn’t take him. Beating women is not cool with me.
How is this even a topic of conversation? If we were desperate for a running back then I could see the point but since we aren’t, this is 5 minutes of my life I can’t get back.
The number of people on here advocating to sign a guy who pushed a woman and then kicked her is well...sickening. But all is forgiven because he's good at football! Meanwhile, we should fire Adam Gase because he's not "rah rah" enough? Got it.
with everything this team has gone through i doubt anyone would make a stink about it, there response oh well its just the dolphins they do what the dolphins do all the time. Whats the patriots doing!!!
Sorry. Shouldn't be drinking this early. Had a couple of these Ray Rice drinks. Man, they pack a punch
It seems from the vdeo, which is hard to tell with no audio, that there was an awful lot of mouthing off from the girls both before the pushing started and after it started. So to me to was nothing serious. Serious to me: Unprovoked Closed fist Pursuing an attack once the opponent has started to go away Any element of intentional sexual assault It isn’t a recommendation that he followed a wise course of action. It’s saying that on a scale of 1 to 10 it was about a 2 or a 3.
Still disagree wholeheartedly. Regardless of what she was saying he was nothing more than a chump azz for using force and kicking a woman. For arguments sake lets say she was pushing his buttons to the limit, that's when he should have walked away and alerted the authorities about the whole situation but instead he charged at her with force and kicked her while she was down. If it was mother/wife/daughter, would you still label it as " not serious" and give him a free pass?
As talented as he is and as much as I’d like to have him replace Gore next season I’d have to say hard pass. While I hate hate Colin Kapernick and this whole kneeling thing what he has done is no where as offensive as pushing and kicking a women. So if Kappernick can’t get a job than this scum shouldn’t either. I know I’m wrong and Hunt will have a job within a year.
It's a bad look, no doubt, and makes you wonder what else he might do. However, I disagree with anyone saying he kicked her with force. Of course, even saying this probably makes people think I'm defending him.
Call me a bad guy all you want....The girl ranted and raved outside his hotel room and wouldn't leave when asked to leave, then repeatably called Hunt and others N*ggers. Then put her hands on Hunt before ever being touched. She deserved more than what she got....
I agree that he should have walked away. What I’m saying is that it is nowhere near Ray Rice kind of bad. With Ray Rice it was closed fist, continued after he knocked her out by dragging her by the hair and there was little if any provocation. With Hunt, it apoears from the video there was a lot of mouthing off before he opened the door and before the first push, he did at least start to walk away after the first push and only returned after further mouthing off, there was no closed fist. If you want to play “if [X] was your [loved one]” which is a game people play when you want an emotional reaction, not a reasoned opinion. How would you feel if Hunt was your son or husband or father. Would you want his entire career destroyed over what we see on the video?
How weak has society gotten that grown men can now justify violence over a word? FWIW, Hunt was stupid, but he didn't hurt the girl. The girl was stupid, but she didn't deserve being pushed, or "kicked". Let's be honest, he didn't kick her. He did what I do to my dog when I shoo him away from my burger when I eat in front of the TV. lol If Hunt were smart he wouldn't have left his room. If he, or any other man justifies violence, especially against a woman, over a word (or even if the women pushes you) then that man is a giant vagina and needs to turn in his man card.
Wow, really? Did she really deserve to get knocked out and sent to the hospital instead? Really? Maybe just a couple of black eyes? Yikes. Embarrassed for some of my Dolphins fan bretheren here.
Would you be saying the same stuff if it was another dude not a woman? I can't figure out if we're supposed to treat women as equals or not.
Yes, men should be able to bash the face in of women anytime they want. Fair game. Man, people are dumb.
What's dumb is faux outrage. Was he drunk? Was she drunk? Did he intend for the guy he pushed to smash into the woman? I'm just saying, if it was another dude, would you be saying the same thing?
He implied that it would have been OK because men and women are supposed to be equal in his whacked out view of society today.
No. That's not what I was saying. I'm saying, people are overreacting because it's a woman. I'm saying both were wrong, and I don't think that what Hunt did was even comparable to Ray Rice or some of these other high profile incidents that we've seen recently.
All I'm saying is that someone on here said that "she deserved more" than what happened to her. Which is beyond comprehension.
